Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

The White Robe Great Tutor’s face looked quite grim, possibly because Qin Xin’s seat was empty.

He placed the teaching plan on the lectern and said indifferently, ”Before everyone’s here, recite the Empire’s rules for the gifted repeatedly.”

The entire class gasped.

The rules for the gifted consist of one hundred and one Chapters, totaling five thousand four hundred and eighty articles. Reciting them from start to finish is brain-numbing, especially when done repeatedly!

Tutor, are you really not just torturing us in a different way?

Yet, seeing the White Robe Great Tutor showing no intention to lecture and instead coldly watching them, he said: ”If you can’t recite them, you can fail this course directly.”

Everyone felt a chill in their hearts.

It’s true, this course is about law and intelligent science. If you can’t even recite the Empire’s most important rules, being punished by the tutor seems reasonable.

Reluctantly, everyone started reciting the rules with bitter faces.

For someone like Jing Zhichen, who grew up here, these rules are already familiar, just a matter of moving the lips.

But for Ao Xinghao and Bai Chi, it’s a disaster.

A thick book of rules more terrifying than a dictionary, if they can recite it, it’ll be a miracle.

Seeing the cold gaze of the White Robe Tutor on the lectern sweep over them like a chilling wind, Ao Xinghao very much suspected Nalan Ye Jue was deliberately targeting them for revenge!

He secretly pulled out his phone and sent Qin Xin a message: ”Xin, skipping class means failing, when can you come, shall I make up an excuse for you?”

For a while.

Qin Xin’s phone didn’t respond.

Ao Xinghao felt something was off.

These days, except for getting up at four in the morning to exercise, they didn’t even skip lunch breaks and kept exercising, so they’ve not had lunch with Qin Xin, who usually would pack buns for them.

But today, no buns, and no person either.

Xin always explained her actions, so skipping class without a word wasn’t typical.

The key is, Xin’s SUV is still parked in the downstairs parking lot, visible from the classroom window. If Xin went out for business, the car wouldn’t still be here.

Ao Xinghao’s mind instantly rang alarm bells.

He nudged Si Moyu and Bai Chi beside him, finding out they hadn’t received any message from Qin Xin either, he realized something was amiss: ”Xin isn’t skipping class; she might be in trouble. Could it be Young Master Hai’s doing?”

Si Moyu couldn’t sit still: ”Damn, let’s go find that pretty boy and settle accounts!”

Bai Chi also eagerly said: ”What, where to settle accounts? Don’t leave me out of a fight. I’ve been building muscle and increasing spiritual power these days, ready to test how strong I’ve become.”

The three raised their hands in unison: ”Tutor, we’d like to request leave.”

Nalan Ye Jue’s gaze swept over the three, about to ruthlessly refuse.

But then Ao Xinghao spoke loudly with deep meaning: ”Tutor, our Xin isn’t skipping class; her company has things to handle. We’re requesting leave to help her return soon.”

This reason seems absurd, but everyone knows Qin Xin is now the head of the Spirit Medicine Company, so these three going to help isn’t a lie.

But with the tutor’s bad temper, would he agree?

Nalan Ye Jue was silent for a few seconds, then waved his hand: ”Approved.”

Whoa, did the tutor really agree?

Classmates stared enviously as Ao Xinghao and the others left the classroom, wishing they could raise their hands too and say they were going to Sister Xin’s company to help, which surely beats reciting the Empire’s rules for the gifted repeatedly in class!

While itching to act, who knew, the White Robe Great Tutor stepped down from the lectern, with a bland tone: ”Continue reciting, I’ll check when I return!”
