Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

He flipped through the blueprints and stopped at the table appended at the end, which showed the current inventory data for a batch of medical robots already on the market.

He spoke again: ”Bai Chi has been wanting to buy a medical robot; has he paid the deposit?”

Lu Yi felt a bit strange being asked this: ”Mr. Bai hasn’t been here for quite some time. How about I go inquire?”

Nalan Ye Jue: ”Hmm. Considering he took Si Moyu away at the wedding, arrange a unit for him.”

He hadn’t seen Bai Chi since that wedding day.

However, he still remembered that Bai Chi and Si Moyu disappeared from the wedding venue at the same time.

That guy was considerate, understanding he didn’t want to see a certain person, handled it beautifully.

He reviewed the financial report for a while longer, and upon seeing the clock point to eight, he stood up and left the study.

The little woman didn’t like to get up early. If he finished cooking, she’d be just right to eat it at nine.

Cooking too early would cause the food to cool down and not be as fresh.

Nalan Ye Jue personally arranged the dishes in the kitchen, cooking himself.

Just as he finished cooking a pot of seafood porridge and a plate of fried omelet with sea cucumbers and prepared to cook vegetables, Lu Yi dashed into the kitchen in a fluster, stammering: ”Young Master, Bai, Bai, Young Master Bai he...”

Nalan Ye Jue frowned: ”If it isn’t something earth-shattering, why all this panic.”

Lu Yi wiped the sweat off his forehead: ”Young Master Bai has been missing for three months! The Bai Family is searching for him worldwide. Because they’re afraid of leaking the information and triggering actions from enemies, they haven’t disclosed it publicly. Today, because you asked to find him, the Bai Family quietly revealed it to you and asked for your help to keep an eye out.”

Nalan Ye Jue didn’t expect Lu Yi to bring such an astonishing piece of news.

For the Bai Family, Bai Chi is the only male heir of this generation. If he truly disappeared, it would indeed be as if the Bai Family’s sky collapsed.

He pondered: ”Three months ago? Specifically when?”

Lu Yi’s expression became increasingly indescribable: ”It was—it was the night of your wedding with your wife.”

Nalan Ye Jue’s breath caught.

Wasn’t Bai Chi supposed to trick Si Moyu away?

Could it be that Si Moyu got annoyed halfway and harmed Bai Chi?

He immediately instructed: ”Contact Si Moyu. I want to speak with him personally.”

Although Bai Chi is unreliable, mentally lacking, going around complaining to him how bad Lan Qingxin is at times and how embarrassing the little loser is, yet suddenly has the whim to become his brother-in-law.

But after all, he was his only playmate growing up, and aside from his deficient intelligence, he was very loyal to brotherhood.

If something indeed happened, he couldn’t turn a blind eye.

He put down the dishes he was making, packed the porridge and omelet with sea cucumbers onto a tray, and instructed the servant: ”Take it to madam.”

Servant: ”Young Master, aren’t you accompanying madam to dine?”

Nalan Ye Jue: ”Let her eat first, I need to handle something urgent.”

He returned to the study and connected to the group’s satellite monitoring center: ”Bring up the footage from the day of the wedding, showing Young Master Bai and Si Moyu leaving the old house, then track them.”

Over there, the satellite footage hadn’t come through yet.

Lu Yi had already dashed back into the study, sweating profusely: ”Y-young, Young Master, Si, the Si Family said...”

Nalan Ye Jue couldn’t stop this guy’s nervous tone anymore, and could only try to keep him calm: ”Speak slowly.”

Lu Yi wiped his sweat: ”The Si Family said their CEO is unavailable to take calls. I initially thought their arrogance was ridiculous and argued with them for a bit. Later, I sensed something was off and quickly checked the records, only to find that Si Moyu hasn’t been seen in public for three months either! He’s gone missing too!”
