Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

Without Si Daren present, nobody on the committee dared to act rashly and announce the start of the competition.

Seeing that influential figures like Nalan Ye Jue were still waiting, the vice-chairman of the committee was so anxious his hair seemed ready to be torn out, repeatedly apologizing at the guest judges’ seats.

No one else had any objections.

Everyone looked towards Nalan Ye Jue, fearing that he might be displeased.

Unexpectedly, Nalan Ye Jue graciously said, ”It’s fine, we will start once everyone is here.”

As soon as he finished speaking.

From the nearby VIP passage, a woman dressed in a sharp black hunting outfit, with long-sleeved top and trousers, a dark leather belt at her waist, and stylish Chelsea boots, approached confidently. She wore a low-profile baseball cap and sunglasses, obscuring her true appearance.

She strode directly towards the central guest seats and commanded in a deep voice, ”No need to wait. Let’s begin.”

Nalan Ye Jue narrowed his gaze.

Si Daren sat beside Nalan Ye Jue.

She glanced at Nalan Ye Jue; both exchanged a look but neither said anything, yet everything seemed to be understood without words.

With Si Daren’s instruction, the vice-chairman finally relaxed, ”Chairman, will you preside over the competition?”

Si Daren shook her head, ”You preside.”

The vice-chairman was taken aback, then lowered his voice, ”Chairman, I arranged the personnel you asked for earlier. Are you planning to strengthen security on-site or...”

Si Daren said, ”I’ve already instructed them; you don’t need to worry. Organize the competition well, shorten the time, and finish the award ceremony within an hour, so everyone can leave the venue.”

The vice-chairman took a deep breath, ”Understood!”

Good grief, the chairman had given him another tough problem.

A large-scale national competition usually needs four to five hours to complete; designers need more than an hour just for the creative concept drawings.

Yet the chairman wants it finished in an hour?

However, he dared not complain; he had to follow orders.

The vice-chairman took the stage, announced the competition rules, and conveyed the idea of a swift conclusion, asking the contestants to express their thoughts and creativity through concise plans and complete their design work within half an hour.

The contestants were initially stunned, but quickly became energized and sprang into action.

Half an hour, and for many, it was their first time at Imperial University, unfamiliar with the surroundings, challenging them to design suitable intelligent transformation plans for Imperial University, which was indeed a formidable test.

Over a thousand contestants, carrying boards and drawing papers, equipped with cameras and drawing pens, rushed into the campus construction site, seeking inspiration everywhere.

Some started sketching on-site, others climbed onto engineering vehicles to overlook the campus panorama, while some observed construction companies clearing debris...

Among them was Qin Wenrou, wobbling along in her high heels.

Had she known she’d need to experience on-site competition in a construction area earlier, she would have brought a pair of sneakers. How annoying that chairman was, setting such competition rules, her high heels were meant for the awards podium.

As contestants moved into the construction site, guests and regular spectators in the stands watched their performances via monitoring footage on the big screen.

Yet at this moment, from the guest seats, a gaze lingered not on the screen but intensely focused on Si Daren!

Jun Ruyi scanned Si Daren thoroughly from head to toe.

Except for that face, which couldn’t be seen, no matter the stature, aura, or indescribable feeling, this woman... each pore exuded two words: Qin Xin.
