Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

Imperial University.

The reason the Imperial Design Competition attracts talents from various fields within the empire isn’t anything extraordinary; it’s simply because this year, the Imperial Design Competition invited the president of the Global Designer Association, Lady Si Daren, to be the committee chair.

What kind of organization is the Global Designer Association?

If Red Society is the top authority in the medical field, then the Global Designer Association encompasses professional creative talents across various domains—not just architects, illustrators, or software designers. The most ingenious minds in the scientific world view joining this association as an honor.

Their designs aren’t just drawings that a layperson would understand.

Only those in the association can comprehend their futuristic creativity and advanced design capabilities.

The world might not understand their high-IQ brains, but it recognizes the value of their innovative ideas.

Bear in mind, their creative ideas are ahead of the market by decades. If a commercial company purchases their patents early, it becomes a monopoly in the field.

Therefore, any slightly intelligent enterprise is eager to establish connections with the Global Designer Association.

Unfortunately, the association’s leadership is reclusive, making them quite difficult to contact.

Especially the president, Lady Si Daren, who oversees the association’s decisions and creative order sales, is almost never seen in public.

Meeting her is more difficult than climbing the sky.

This time, the Imperial Design Competition unexpectedly invited her as the committee chair, no wonder the upper class of the empire flocked to it, treating what appears to be a lackluster competition as a precious social occasion.

How precious is it as a design competition? It’s an opportunity to meet Si Daren, right?

When Mrs. Qin and Qin Wenrou entered, they saw familiar figures from TV at the guest section, making them tread lightly and breathe cautiously.

Qin Wenrou couldn’t help but be excited, ”Mommy, why are so many important people here?”

Mrs. Qin’s eyes sparkled, ”Rou’er, you’re on the right path with design. Look at how many dignitaries come for even a competition; it shows how much the empire values talented young designers. This is more rewarding than your piano playing and more promising than your sister’s oboe, and easier too, unlike your sister who studies medicine exhaustively.”

Qin Wenrou disliked how Mrs. Qin compared her to Qin Xin.

But fortunately, this time Mrs. Qin implied that Qin Xin’s choices were inferior, her vision less sharp, her career prospects dim. This made Qin Wenrou feel somewhat at ease.

She remembered to ask, ”Mom, will sis come to watch my competition?”

Mrs. Qin’s brow furrowed, ”I don’t know. I sent the ticket to her company; she should have received it.”

Seeing this, Qin Wenrou figured there’s an eighty percent chance Qin Xin refused to show support again.

She couldn’t help but sneer, ”Mom, that woman doesn’t care about this family anymore. She’s even led Xiao Shuang astray. Now they look at us like we’re enemies. Since the day she ousted us from the board, she’s had no affection for us. You keep sending her tickets even knowing she won’t come? This ticket is expensive; I didn’t even give one to my classmates who wanted to come.”

Qin Wenrou’s words stung.

Mrs. Qin felt bitter inside, ”Your sister has really changed, sigh. If only we’d known back then...”

What good was keeping this daughter?

This heart-wrenching thought, she really didn’t want to utter, yet couldn’t suppress the idea.
