Madame is Pretending to be an Academic Slacker Again!

Chapter 71: Chapter 71: Can’t You Be More Generous?

Lan Yingjun was well-prepared, bringing a stack of reference books, some of which were very expensive, translated editions of foreign medical professional books that were hard to find on the market.

Qin Xin, bored, flipped through them.

Lan Yingjun eloquently explained the key points to her, only to find that after she turned two pages... she started dozing off.

The girl lay on the table with her eyes narrowed, her fine bangs hanging down, covering the dark green birthmark.

Sunlight streamed through the octagonal window of the classroom, warmly casting on her forehead.

It was indeed an extremely ugly face, but somehow, the more you looked, the harder it was to look away.

If it weren’t for that birthmark, perhaps Lan Qingxin wouldn’t be too ugly to be seen. She might even be a bit delicate and pretty, and maybe Young Master Jue wouldn’t have left her in the countryside for so many years without paying attention. Lan Yingjun thought.

What a pity... being ugly is one thing, but being so useless and not even trying to improve!

Lan Yingjun helplessly stopped teaching and looked at Qin Xin with a frustrated expression.

He wanted to wake her up with a slap, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it.

Hesitating, he even forgot to reply to the WeChat messages Qin Wenrou had been sending him.

A long time passed.

Qin Xin woke up from her nap feeling refreshed, finally catching up on the sleep she missed last night. She stretched lazily and sat up: ”Are you done?”

Lan Yingjun’s lips twitched: ”...”

I haven’t even started!

”If you’re done, I’m leaving.” Qin Xin stood up coldly.

Lan Yingjun stood up: ”Wait a minute...”

He rested his hand on the books, wanting to say something but hesitated.

Qin Xin thought he was reminding her to take the materials, frowned for a moment, and randomly picked two books from the pile of expensive translated materials.

Lan Yingjun hesitated before speaking: ”Qingxin, actually Wen Rou didn’t do it on purpose yesterday. She’s not targeting anyone specifically, and it was just a momentary oversight in her judgement of the CT images. She later sincerely apologized and regretted it. Can you... forgive her and not let the school discipline her, and stop targeting her in the future?”

Qin Wenrou stood all afternoon yesterday and eventually fainted, her heart was in a bad condition. Yet, the principal’s office sent a notice saying they were going to give her and Huangfu Qian a disciplinary action.

At first, he was a bit mad at Qin Wenrou, because her misjudgment caused him to lose face too, but seeing Qin Wenrou’s exhausted look after fainting from punishment and the disciplinary action, he couldn’t stay mad.

Besides, after Qin Wenrou woke up, her tearful eyes held his hand and kept apologizing, talking about the difficulties in student relationships and her intent in upholding the Student Union’s honor. These words made him feel even more sympathetic.

So today he came early to tutor Lan Qingxin, partly to complete the task assigned by Young Master Jue and partly to plead for Qin Wenrou:

”Is such a small issue really worth escalating to the point of the principal issuing such a serious penalty?”

”With a penalty on her record, it will affect Qin Wenrou’s job prospects after graduation.”

”Qingxin, it’s just a small squabble between girls. Can’t you be more magnanimous, accept the apology, and let this matter drop?”

Qin Xin looked up indifferently, her eyes cold.

So the jerk just wanted to talk to her about this.

Ha ha.

Be more magnanimous?

If apologies worked, even murderers would roam free.

It seemed that making them bow until sunset yesterday was too easy on them, they should have stood all night!

Qin Xin coldly glanced at Lan Yingjun, too lazy to say more: ”Remember your place. You’re just the tutor.”
