The First Store System

Chapter 1503 Back to the Store!

Chapter 1503: Back to the Store!

It didnʼt take long before the altar had completely formed. It no longer belonged to the fire element but was replaced by the element of earth.

Huo Jinglin wasnʼt there to see it since the moment the screen appeared; he immediately tapped on the return option. Following that, Huo Jinglin returned to the portal room.

Huo Jinglin was in no mood to check anything since the sequelae of the situations he had gone through in the challenge came all at once after the effect of the fiery light disappeared.

He immediately climbed down the stairs. Once he reached his room, he didnʼt waste any time and jumped on his bed. It took only a few moments for him to fall into deep sleep, with him snoring loudly. His sleep lasted for several days.

To be precise, it took him forty-seven days of sleep to fully recover from all the physical and mental stress he had accumulated during the challenge.

Once he opened his eyes, a comfortable smile spread across his face since he had never felt better than what he felt at that moment. He then climbed down the bed and rushed to the washroom.

After an hour, he came out of the room. Since he was going to step into Level 4, he took a long bath and fully cleaned himself of any dust.

Huo Jinglin sat down in a meditative posture and took out a medium Experience Core. He took a deep breath and then began the absorption process.

The moment the first ray of energy left the core and got absorbed by Huo Jinglin, an explosion seemed to have occurred in Huo Jinglinʼs body.

His rosy face immediately turned pale, but he gritted his teeth and forced the momentum to follow the path it needed to achieve the breakthrough.

In no time, the wild energy in his body had ruptured many of his veins and internal organs, but after a while, they automatically began to recover.

The process of destroying and recovering kept on going for a while, and just like that, around an hour had passed. Whatever filth was left in Huo Jinglinʼs body was forced out, and a black, smelly substance oozed out of his skin pores.

Once the process of destroying and recovering fully stopped, it was time for new energy to flow. In just a few moments, whatever energy was left in the medium Experience Core was fully absorbed by Huo Jinglin.

Huo Jinglinʼs body still felt empty, so he immediately took out another medium Experience Core, and absorbed it. After absorbing half of its total energy, Huo Jinglin finally felt full and stopped.

He then opened his eyes and, as expected, found himself standing in front of the dead tree. He was no longer as hostile as he was to the tree earlier since, if not for its help, he would have died in the breakthrough challenge.

As if happy with Huo Jinglinʼs change of emotions, the tree shook its dead branches, and then four fruits fell down. His hands acted on their own and grabbed the fruits before they could touch the surface.

His desire was still out of his control, so he immediately bit into the fruits and ate them one after another. The fruits eaten by him were no longer as simple as the ones he ate earlier, so Huo Jinglin felt bloated, and that feeling kept growing.

He couldnʼt help but frown since he felt as if he would explode if he didnʼt release energy. He immediately exited the sea of consciousness.

Following that, a battle spanning several days played out. Huo Jinglin once almost reached the end of his life, but fortunately for him, he survived by a thread.

Huo Jinglin gasped for a full breath as he looked at the four glowing stones in his hands. The stones were different than earlier, with some kind of pattern engraved on them.

Huo Jinglin immediately activated his challenger screen since there were many uses of the stones. Before he could put the stones to good use, his mouth and eyes widened in shock.

{Challenger Screen:

Name: Huo Jinglin

Power Level: Level 4,

Bloodline: Yedrian,%$#%&(+)

Purity: Yedrian(63.297656)+, %$#%&(0.00004)+

…}

He was shocked to learn that his Yedrian bloodline had been improved by a full ten percent. It wasnʼt a small jump at all since if he wanted to use the help of Experience Cores for it, he would need to spend seven medium and three top Experience Cores.

ʼDoes breakthrough help improvement in bloodline?ʼ Huo Jinglin couldnʼt help but think. But when he saw the next bloodline, he stopped that thought since it remained the same.

Huo Jinglin then suddenly remembered the sudden situation with the fiery light. He couldnʼt help but put the reason for his bloodline increase on that.

After a moment of excitement, Huo Jinglin calmed down since the trial of power clearly showed that there was no end to the benefit if he qualified for it. He then used the four glowing stones and found a new function.

From the previous stones, he could simply upgrade the experience to complete mastery, but with the stones that had the pattern, Huo Jinglin could upgrade the skill by a level.

He immediately tapped on the skill [Pyrokinetic Harmony]. He then released a sigh of helplessness since it required five stones to upgrade the skill by one level and further improve its effects.

The remaining skills purchased from the store required only two stones each, so Huo Jinglin immediately upgraded the attacking and defensive types skills.

Huo Jinglinʼs sudden disappearance caused a shock to the upper-level beings of the Sacred Dimension since it happened in the presence of one of the strongest Sacred Creators, Huo Pinglu, and he could do nothing about it.

After the disappearance, Huo Pinglu approached the store owner for help and left relieved. Aakesh didnʼt tell Huo Pinglu about the trial of power since it was a mysterious term only known to those who qualified for it or those like Aakesh, who had infinite intelligence.

With or without Huo Jinglin, the store kept its operation with the same intensity.

As the sun rose on Thorr and its nearby cities, Aakesh opened the doors, greeted by the usual large crowd outside the store.
