The First Store System

Chapter 894: An Undefeatable Challenge!

The sudden appearance of the non-demon and his subsequent loss of the territory caused Jamieʼs face to become solemn.

Jamie would have immediately attacked the non-demon if a different Demon group didnʼt control the Ronar Kingdom.

”How can someone buy territory in your city, and you donʼt even try to check it with the Kingdomʼs administration?” Jamie looked at Alfred and angrily reprimanded him.

Alfred didnʼt know what to say at that moment. He came here to learn about the relationship between the non-demon and the king and thus make a good impression on the non-demon.

”Get to the bottom of that non-demonʼs background,” Jamie demanded.

Jamie didnʼt wait for Alfredʼs response and pushed his hands forward. The next moment, a wind appeared and pushed Alfred right outside of the royal palace.

Alfredʼs face turned sour as he realized he was being humiliated. At the same time, he was also worried about what this would entail for the relationship between Corr Cityʼs lord and the King.

Every Vurron had enjoyed a stabilized atmosphere due to the Corr Cityʼs lord. Alfred didnʼt want to disrupt that.

As Alfred turned around to leave, a problem attacked him. Should he use the portal to travel to Thorr City or not?

The journey using the portal would take only a few moments, but the cost would be expensive. Alfred was someone who liked having money and not wasting it on unnecessary things.

ʼSince Jamie didnʼt ask for a specific timeline, I should travel to the city on foot.ʼ Jamie concluded after standing there for several seconds.

The distance between Thorr City and the capital city was several billion miles, so it would take him around three days to travel that distance if he ran at full speed. No passenger vehicle covered that large distance, so Jamie could either travel by foot or by the travel portal.

Alfred made up his mind to travel by foot and charged in the direction of Thorr City. Jamie, who could see Alfred, couldnʼt help but sigh in frustration and irritation as he was well aware of Alfredʼs stingy character

Unaware of the storm he had caused in the royal palace, Aakesh was relaxing comfortably in his chair.

Not even half a day had passed in the store, and all the virtual portals had already been booked for the day.

Aakesh was relaxing when he heard a sound coming from the storeʼs door, so he opened his eyes and turned around in that direction.

”Should I go or not?” The man standing at the storeʼs door mumbled in confusion.

Jacques came from a wealthy family in Thorr City. His family had been controlling half the pharmaceutical needs of the city.

Jacques wanted his stores to not only control Thorr City but also the other four Vurron cities. He had been working toward that goal for the past thousands of years.

”> Yesterday he was invited to a banquet organized by Garos since he was good friends with Garos and Elera was his cousin. The reason for the celebration was a mystery, so only after reaching there did Jacques find out the reason.

Jacques had always been someone who was obsessed with his goals, so he never really cared about his familyʼs conditions.

Only after reaching the banquet, Jacques found out about his nephewʼs death, his cousinʼs illness and successful treatment.

Garos and Elera kept mum about how they succeeded in treatment since everyone knew how deadly and expensive Maleros was.

Since Jacques had good relations with both the husband and wife, he succeeded in finding about the secret of their treatment.

After learning that a pill was the reason behind Eleraʼs treatment, at first, Jacques was shocked, but soon, the shock turned into a solemn face.

Jacques had always been trying to make his pharmacy stores the only contender in all five Vurron cities. The sudden emergence of this store in Thorr city could put an end to his ambitions, so how could he not be solemn.

At first, Jacques thought of killing the non-demon and his store, but after learning about the background and the other products, Jacques couldnʼt help but smile wryly.

Jacques couldnʼt believe that an unbeatable challenger could derail the goal he had worked so hard to achieve for several thousand years.

Jacques left the banquet early due to his uncomfortable feelings. Yesterday, Jacques destroyed many of his expensive and rare items.

After the morning arrived, the uncomfortable feeling only grew stronger. Since Jacques could do nothing to stop that feeling, he decided to check out the store, which would prove to be an unbeatable challenge for him.

Jacques couldnʼt help but pause as he approached the storeʼs front door. He had already known about the background of the store owner.

Jacques also found out that the non-demon was behind the killing of his nephew, yet his friend, who was stronger than him, could do nothing to the store owner. What would he even do after reaching the store?

ʼI must face the challenge head on!ʼ Jacques decided in his heart. But while thinking about it was simple, putting it into action was not. His foot stayed in the same position, not moving any further.

Time flew by, and several seconds passed in the blink of an eye while Jacques stood frozen in place all this time.

Aakesh, who had opened his eyes after hearing the sound of a footstep, also moved his gaze away because he had grown tired of staring at the man who had been standing in the same spot for several seconds.

More time flew by, and Jacques still couldnʼt move himself.

Heʼd already decided on a reason to go into the store. He would buy the pills from here and then experiment on them to create an even better version of energy purification pills. Since the store could do it, he and his group could do it as well.

But Jacques still couldnʼt gather enough courage to enter the store. It had been around three minutes since he had been standing here.

Sigh!

Jacques suddenly sighed and turned around to leave since he needed to first gather some courage.

ʼI will return tomorrow,ʼ Jacques vowed as he left. His steps werenʼt stable at all as he proceeded.
