Chapter 392 – Battle(2)

Chapter 392: Battle(2)

Seeing the bowl in the sky turning bigger and larger without stopping, the high-level soldiers became crazy fighting Aakesh.

They wanted to kill Aakesh before the bowl could complete its complete enlargement. They didnʼt want to fight the lava released by it.

”Clang!”

”Clang!”

”Clang!”

The sound of metallic clashes continuously rang in the area as Aakeshʼs arrows clashed either with the weapon of the soldiers or their bodies.

The giant soldiers had levels higher than Aakesh, and they also had large numbers, but Aakesh still didnʼt get overwhelmed for even a moment.

***

”Is today the day?” The ruler, sitting on its throne on top of the fort, commented, seeing the scenes on the battlefield.

More than ten million soldiers on the ground were fighting Aakesh, while around one-third of them were in a direct fight with Aakesh. The remaining were long-range fighters, so they gave their fellow soldiers cover from time to time.

”What day, your majesty?” One of the higher-ups seated near the ruler asked.

He was the spear user that had succeeded in killing Aakesh the last time.

The ruler ignored the question and continued watching the battle going on.

The spearman had expected something like this, so he also focused on the battle.

”Itʼs time for you to die,” A cold female voice rang in Aakeshʼs ears, and the next moment, a blade passed through his heart.

The killer felt satisfied with her act, but when she looked at her blade, she found it was too clean for passing through someoneʼs heart.

A sudden sense of horror engulfed her heart. Before she could even find the source of feeling, an arrow pierced through the back of her head. It then came out through one of her eyes.

”AA-”

She couldnʼt even complete her scream or turn around when another arrow pierced the back of her head.

This time, it didnʼt pass through her head, but after piercing it, it exploded, resulting in the bursting of her head.

Aakesh didnʼt even glance at her before shooting another arrow, aiming to kill another soldier.

Since Aakesh was in a direct battle with millions of soldiers having different levels and belonging to various races, giving even a second to a single opponent could prove disastrous.

Fortunately for him, he hadnʼt gotten in the direct field with her in anger for breaking the barrier around him and giving him a wound.

He had done this because the bowl in the sky had stopped further enlarging.

As far as anyone could see in the sky, they could only see red, regardless of their level. It was the color of the bowl.

”Die!” Aakesh muttered with an expressionless face, seeing a spear coming toward him.

As if the bowl was only waiting for Aakeshʼs order, it turned over with an unimaginable speed.

”Drip! Chhish!”

”Drip! Chhish!”

”Drip! Chhish!”

The next moment, lava began raining down on the ground, creating a burning sound when it fell on the soldiers and the fort.

On the top of the fort, the higher-ups acted. They then created a transparent barrier above them so that not even a single soldier got burned to their deaths.

The soldiers on the ground didnʼt have such fortunes. With even a slight touch of lava raining down, they melted into a pool of mess, and then they got vaporized, taking away their proof of existence.

If the drop of lava touched the ground, it would create a pit.

In only a few seconds, countless deep pits appeared on the ground, while the soldiers continuously died in large numbers.

The spear that was coming at Aakesh became the first casualty of the lava.

Aakesh expressionlessly looked at the chaotic scenes around him while lava continuously poured down.

Not a single drop of lava touched him. A few meters of the land around him was clear of the rain.

The lava had enough heat, but it still wasnʼt enough to kill the higher-level soldiers like the other ordinary soldiers.

If it only took one drop of lava to kill a Level 6 soldier, it took around ten drops to kill a higher-level soldier.

Their resilience gave them a chance of survival, so they wanted to breach the area around Aakesh, clear of any rain.

Aakesh ignored them since the rain was alive, and it knew where to fall.

Whenever a higher-level soldier attempted to breach the area, the pouring would turn strong. It helped in the intensity of the rain getting weaker, but Aakesh didnʼt care.

While he was standing in the clean area, devoid of any life or lava, he didnʼt just stand there.

”…, Godatam Tatsam Uhapa…,”

He had begun chanting for the ʼVoice of the Antiquityʼ. Since he had gotten free time, how could he waste it?

He knew the higher-ups would get involved in the battle after he shot it, but he didnʼt care.

He was confident in the destructive power of the ʼBowl of the Annihilationʼ.

According to his estimations, when the lava rain ended, more than 95% of soldiers on the ground wouldnʼt survive, three percent would have severe injuries, the remaining two percent would have shallow wounds, and they would only be the strongest of the batch.

As for the number of soldiers surviving the rain with no injuries, Aakesh didnʼt believe it would exceed a single digit.

***

As expected, the higher-ups began frowning, hearing the chant of Aakeshʼs arrow. They still remembered the scene of how the majority in the group had died.

”What are you waiting for?” One of the higher-ups looked at the higher-up who was an archer.

The archer understood what he wanted to say, so he stood up from his seat, went to the wall, and began chanting the mantra for his strongest arrow, while the remaining archers also began chanting the mantra to call out the sun.

The screams on the ground engulfed the sound of mantras coming from the fort, so Aakesh wasnʼt able to hear it. Even if he heard it, he wouldnʼt have cared much as he was in a battle, not a one-sided massacre.

It has been four seconds since he began chanting the mantra. It had even started affecting the rain in the sky since the effects of the mantra werenʼt in Aakeshʼs control.

Even the red bowl in the sky had several cracks spreading all across it, facing the pressure of the mantra.

Around 90% of the soldiers had already lost their lives by first getting melted and then vaporized into the air. Out of all the casualties in the war until now, only six higher-level soldiers died. They were the soldiers who faced the ferocious might of the rain after attempting to breach the perimeter around Aakesh.

”…, Antanam Gatnam Namah!”

At that time, Aakesh finally completed the mantra.

Soon, the space above Aakesh cracked open.

Astu svIkarotu unmUlayati bhavataH amitraghna||”

When the space above Aakeshʼs head had cracked open the required radius, the familiar voice echoed in the area for everyone to hear, sending chills down the spine of already fighting higher-level soldiers.

Similarly, the chanting on the fort came to a stop.

Soon, a sun similar to the last time appeared in the sky. Only through the crack was someone able to witness it.

While in the hands of the archer higher-up, an arrow appeared.

It looked similar to the ordinary arrows, barring the arrowhead. Instead of arrowhead, there were three heads, with eyes and mouths wide open in terror. It was called ʼCry of the Headsʼ.

The archer then nocked the arrow on the bow and released it, aiming at Aakesh.

Similarly, after the appearance of the voice, an arrow appeared in Aakeshʼs right hand.

(A/N: For the appearance, please check chapter 373.)

After getting the arrow, Aakesh suddenly sensed a danger to his life. A terrifying arrow with three terrified heads was coming toward him when he looked at the source of the sense.

Aakesh didnʼt wait for it to approach it.

He nocked it on his bow, stretched the bowstring up to his nose, and released it.

”Whoosh!”

The next moment, Aakeshʼs arrow flew toward the ʼCry of the Headsʼ, tearing through the air.

While the bow in the sky had finally consumed all its lava, the pouring rate slowed down by a considerable margin.

The effect of the mantra also played a large role in this, as several large cracks had appeared on the bowl, while the sun enlarging itself also harmed it, resulting in an early exit for the attack.

However, the arrow still did most of the work it was designed to do. The casualties on the grounds had crossed ten million, and more than a million severely injured soldiers.

***

”Get ready to enter the battlefield anytime,” The ruler ordered the higher-ups as they focused on the coming clash between two chanted arrows.

The last time two chanted arrows clashed, it had resulted in massive destruction, and today, the strength of these two chanted arrows couldnʼt even be compared with the last time.

Hearing the order, they got serious and ready to jump on the battlefield anytime.

***

Aakesh, on the other hand, didnʼt look for what the result of the clash was going to be. But instead, he focused on the sun appearing in the sky.

***

”Boom!”

An explosion sounded in the air as both the chanted arrows clashed with each other.

The black hole on the tip of Aakeshʼs arrow attempted to engulf the entirety of the three terrified heads. The heads began crying out loud, resulting in the destabilization of space and the black hole, which also resulted in continuous explosions.

The black hole had the ability to devour and grow stronger, so it even consumed the destabilization around the space and continued getting stronger while the cries of the three terrified heads turned weaker with each passing moment.
