Just Came Into Wealth, Now Renting with Three Flight Attendants

35: Is the house in my hometown going to be demolished?”Pretty good, how about you?”

Zhang Yu asked too.

”I’m doing okay too.” Xu Mufie looked at Zhang Yu. ”After so many years, you’ve become even more handsome. And you’ve grown quite a bit taller.”

His previous impression of Zhang Yu was that he was relatively short.

Being suddenly so tall and handsome, she really hadn’t dared to recognize him just now, afraid of the embarrassment if she called out the wrong name.

Compared to before, Zhang Yu looked completely different now.

He was also more handsome and masculine.

”Yeah, I just had a growth spurt these past few years.”

Zhang Yu laughed.

He wasn’t particularly outstanding in high school, and at that time, he wasn’t even as tall as Xu Mufie.

It wasn’t until the following years that he changed year by year.

He grew directly from 165 to 185.

”That’s great.” Xu Mufie asked, ”Do you have a girlfriend?”

”Good question.”

Zhang Yu smiled. ”Strictly speaking, no, I don’t have a girlfriend yet.”

”That’s good, that’s good.”

Xu Mufie said this internally, feeling a little sentimental.

”Do you still remember back then...”

”I remember.” Zhang Yu smiled. ”If you hadn’t moved away, we would have been together back then.”

Speaking of which.

Xu Mufie was his first love during adolescence.

They were mutually attracted to each other.

But before they could break through the final barrier, Xu Mufie’s family moved away.

Later, their contact information also changed.

The regret of adolescence came to an abrupt end.

He never expected that a few years later, they would meet again here.

”It’s true.” Xu Mufie was also filled with endless emotion.

Waves surged in her heart, and she felt that her somewhat bleak life had suddenly brightened again.

”Oh, right, Zhang Yu, what are you doing now?”

Xu Mufie asked.

”Me?”

Zhang Yu thought for a moment and found an excuse. ”Just working, nothing worth mentioning, haha.”

He was currently a shareholder or boss of three companies.

But no matter which identity he revealed, it would shock people.

So it was better not to say anything.

”It’s nothing. We’re all laborers.”

Xu Mufie smiled.

”Hurry up and handle the business, there’s a line forming in the bank.” Just then, the Branch Manager came over to urge her.

”Okay, coming right away.”

Xu Mufie turned around and responded.

”Well, I should get back to work then?” Xu Mufie asked hesitantly.

”Go ahead. We can talk again when you have time.” Zhang Yu smiled.

”Oh, right.”

She suddenly remembered something. ”The village we used to live in is going to be demolished. Everyone in the village is going back tonight for a final farewell dinner. Are you going?”

”What did you say? The village is going to be demolished?”

A huge question mark appeared above Zhang Yu’s head.

”Yes, you didn’t know?”

Xu Mufie was confused.

Even though her family had moved away years ago, they received a notice. How could Zhang Yu not know?

”I really didn’t know.” He shook his head.

”But then again...” Xu Mufie suddenly realized, ”Although we moved, the old house is still there. You don’t have a house under your name, so...”

”That’s not exactly true.”

Zhang Yu gave a faint smile. ”Alright, you go back to work first. We’ll talk after you get off.”

Watching Xu Mufie return to her station.

Zhang Yu also fell into deep thought.

It was a good thing he happened to pass by and ran into his former classmate and neighbor here.

Otherwise, his house might have been torn down without him knowing.

Following that.

His memories from the past came flooding back into his mind.

Since he could remember, he had never seen his biological parents.

He was raised entirely by his grandparents.

The family also included several elders: his Second Uncle, Third Uncle, and Paternal Aunt.

They lived in a six-story self-built house.

Two floors of this house were legally owned by Zhang Yu.

The others each owned one floor.

This was because his father, being the eldest son, had paid the majority of the construction costs.

When he was young, Zhang Yu didn’t understand these things. Everything was controlled by the elders.

He never expected.

Now that it was going to be demolished, they were still hiding it from him?

Zhang Yu hadn’t been back since he started university.

He worked part-time during both winter and summer breaks.

His ex-girlfriend Liu Ruyan was someone he met while distributing flyers during a part-time job; she was the one who pursued him.

Now.

Several years had passed.

Zhang Yu already owned the most luxurious house and car in Jiangcheng City.

He also controlled three companies: finance, aviation, and technology.

An invisible billionaire worth hundreds of billions.

However, the matter concerning his old home, brought up again now, still left him with lingering resentment.

Although two floors of a self-built house in an urban village weren’t worth much.

Based on the compensation standard of 5,000 per square meter, it would only be around 1 million yuan.

But this was a matter of principle.

What was his was his.

He could choose not to take it, but they couldn’t seize it.

Moreover, this was the only thing his parents had left him.

Zhang Yu thought to himself that since he knew now, he should take this opportunity to go back.

Once he handled the demolition matter, he would have nothing more to do with his Second Uncle and Third Uncle.

Then he could peacefully return to Binjiang Mansion, wait for the Flight Attendant tenant to come back, and live a carefree, shameless life.

Just then.

A call came in.

Checking the caller ID, it was Zhuang Xiuqiang, the head of Dami Technology’s Central China Headquarters.

As a company executive, he knew Zhang Yu’s identity.

”President Zhang!”

As soon as the call connected, the person on the other end greeted him warmly.

”What is it? For business matters, you can report directly to President OK.”

”President Zhang, there’s something related to you that I must report!”

Zhuang Xiuqiang looked at the blueprints on his desk.

His expression was serious.

”Go ahead, what is it?”

”President Zhang, here’s the situation: the company plans to build a Research and Development Center in the South City area. Negotiations for land acquisition and demolition are almost complete.”

Zhuang Xiuqiang reported from the other end.

”But there is one family demanding an extremely high compensation amount for the demolition, and we can’t reach an agreement. Furthermore, our investigation found that two floors of that building seem to be under your ownership. We wanted to confirm...”

”No need to confirm. Those two floors are indeed mine.”

Zhang Yu said calmly.

”Huh?” Zhuang Xiuqiang was stunned.

How could the demolition actually involve President Zhang’s family home?

Moreover, that family hadn’t mentioned Zhang Yu at all, clearly intending to use the confusion to swallow the compensation for the two floors entirely.

The subordinates couldn’t understand why there were only four families involved, yet they were demanding compensation for six floors.

And the person in question hadn’t shown up.

Since the subordinates didn’t know Zhang Yu’s identity and couldn’t resolve the issue, they reported it up the chain to Zhuang Xiuqiang.

”In that case, President Zhang, what should we do next?”

Zhuang Xiuqiang waited for his instructions.

”No rush. Put the matter aside for now; I’m going back to take a look today.”

”Should I send a few subordinates along?”

Zhuang Xiuqiang could tell that the family was on bad terms with Zhang Yu.

The most outrageous thing was, did they actually not know President Zhang’s true identity?
