Overlord of the Wilderness

Flames surged to the heavens, and Sword Qi crisscrossed the air.

Yangx Guyuan was indeed worthy of his title as the number one of the Younger Generation in the Thirteen Countries. As he swung his fists, flames rolled like waves, one after another, surging toward Zhaang Ye. The very air crackled as it burned. An area over three hundred zhang wide turned into a sea of fire where stones and soil glowed faint red, hot enough to easily roast a pig weighing several hundred jin.

Faced with such terrifying flames, Zhaang Ye had no choice but to be cautious. A tornado formed around his body, spinning ceaselessly to block out all the fire and heat.

The tornado Zhaang Ye conjured held a faint hint of a Space Storm’s Realm. Although it couldn’t devour everything like a true Space Storm, it was still capable of swallowing some of the heat. Under the protection of this tornado, no matter how powerful Yangx Guyuan’s Nine Heavens and Ten Earths Heaven-Burning True Skill was, he couldn’t do a thing to Zhaang Ye.

The longer Yangx Guyuan fought, the more alarmed he became. Ever since he had brought his Nine Heavens and Ten Earths Heaven-Burning True Skill to the Great Success Realm, not even some of the Elders in the True Hall dared to clash with him head-on. But Zhaang Ye was not only meeting him head-on, he wasn’t at a disadvantage in the slightest. Every collision sent a painful shock through Yangx Guyuan’s arms. By this point in the battle, both his arms were red and swollen, and a sharp pain shot through them with every attack he launched.

’If this drags on, I’ll be exhausted to death! Looks like I’ll have to use my trump card if I want any chance of winning!’ With a great shout, Yangx Guyuan circulated his Nine Heavens and Ten Earths Heaven-Burning True Skill according to some Profound Mysteries. The flames on his fists suddenly changed, turning white.

Yangx Guyuan’s Cultivation of the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths Heaven-Burning True Skill allowed him to produce flames of seven different colors. Of these, red and yellow flames were the weakest, while white and colorless flames were the most powerful. Yangx Guyuan had already used yellow, purple, and blue-green flames, but none of them could touch Zhaang Ye. Left with no other choice, he finally unleashed the most powerful of them all—the white flame.

RUMBLE—

When the white flame appeared on Yangx Guyuan’s fist, it was faintly accompanied by the sound of wind and thunder. This ball of white flame was like the midday sun, radiating endless light and heat. The ground in a radius of more than ten zhang was baked by this white flame, and in an instant, a long crack appeared!

「Ten li away.」

Ling Kongyun stared at the white flame in Yangx Guyuan’s hand from afar, a hint of excitement in his eyes. ”Yangx Guyuan has finally brought out the white flame! This white flame is extremely tyrannical. If it touches flesh and blood, you’ll be burned alive. Zhaang Ye may be strong, but this flame can still ignite him and burn him to a crisp.”

The robed youth stared intently at the sun-like ball of white flame and said, ”That white flame... does it harm one’s eyes?”

A grave expression appeared on Ling Kongyun’s face. ”Exactly! The white flame Yangx Guyuan produces is brighter than any other. Under such intense light, even an expert at the Peak of Martial Arts Ninth Layer would be temporarily blinded. Zhaang Ye must have closed his eyes by now, or they’d be ruined.”

The robed youth’s expression changed slightly.

As the two spoke, Yangx Guyuan raised his fist and suddenly threw a punch.

BOOM!!

As he punched, the white flame on Yangx Guyuan’s fist instantly transformed into a beam of light as thick as a water bucket, blasting viciously toward Zhaang Ye.

The moment Yangx Guyuan threw his punch, Zhaang Ye suddenly felt a powerful Suppression sweep over his entire body. Endless pressure descended from the void, madly crushing him. At that moment, it was as if the entire world had become his enemy. The void, normally filled with fresh air, now felt as heavy as stone and as hot as magma!

This was a punch of ultimate hardness and ferocity!

’Yangx Guyuan really is something else. The power of this punch is even greater than that of a typical expert at the Peak of Martial Arts Ninth Layer!’ As this thought crossed his mind, Zhaang Ye still slashed out with his hand.

It was still the same move, the Cloud-Breaking Slash.

BOOM!

A terrifyingly loud, thunderous crash erupted. The Flame Power and Dragon Elephant Power madly tore at the void and the earth. In that instant, the thick ground was suddenly ripped up and thrown into the sky. The entire expanse of the void was like a pot of boiling-thick soup, churning and bubbling without end.

The deafening rumbles spread out in all directions, so loud it seemed the sky itself was cracking. It took a full twenty to thirty blinks of an eye before the sound finally subsided.

The sound faded, and the dust slowly settled.

The figures of Zhaang Ye and Yangx Guyuan were finally revealed.

Yangx Guyuan had a trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth and was covered in bloody marks. Although he had cultivated his Nine Heavens and Ten Earths Heaven-Burning True Skill to the Great Success Realm, Zhaang Ye’s seemingly unassuming body contained unimaginable strength. In the head-on clash, Yangx Guyuan had actually had his internal organs injured by the shock from Zhaang Ye’s blow, and he couldn’t stop himself from spitting out two mouthfuls of blood.

Compared to Yangx Guyuan, Zhaang Ye was far more composed. He was still in his green robes, not even a single fold out of place, except that his sleeves had vanished, revealing two arms scorched a faint black by the flames.

Ten li away, Ling Kongyun’s gaze was fixed on Zhaang Ye, his expression extremely grave. He said slowly, ”This Zhaang Ye’s strength is truly unfathomable. Even an expert at the Peak of Martial Arts Ninth Layer would have been seriously injured taking that last blow from Yangx Guyuan head-on, yet he took it and is completely unscathed...”

The robed youth nodded slightly, his expression turning ugly. Yangx Guyuan’s last attack had been tyrannical and ferocious. Against such a terrifying blow, even he would have sustained some injuries clashing with it directly. But Zhaang Ye had taken it head-on and was completely unharmed. This caused the robed youth, who had always held a high opinion of himself, to feel a sense of inferiority.

All the arrogance vanished from Yangx Guyuan. He stared at Zhaang Ye and said earnestly, ”I never thought you could take my white flame head-on! I never thought you could injure me with sheer force! Zhaang Ye, you are the most formidable opponent I have ever met. Whether I win or lose this battle, you are the most outstanding figure of the Younger Generation!”

Zhaang Ye recalled Yangx Guyuan’s previous attack and felt a measure of admiration for him. He said slowly, ”You’re not bad either. If you have any other tricks, show them.”

To be honest, Zhaang Ye was quite interested in this Yangx Guyuan; otherwise, he wouldn’t have fought him for so long. However, Zhaang Ye had entered the Little World to search for Heaven and Earth Essence Stones, as well as various ingredients and rare medicinal herbs to refine the Innate Golden Pill. Therefore, he wanted to end this fight quickly so he could continue his search for Essence Stones and medicinal herbs.

Yangx Guyuan laughed heartily. ”Good, good, good! Then let’s settle this in one move! Do you dare?!”

Yangx Guyuan’s proposal was exactly what Zhaang Ye wanted. Zhaang Ye gave a faint smile and said, ”Bring it on.”

Yangx Guyuan nodded slightly. A faint red light suddenly appeared and began to circulate around his body. After completing One Cycle, the red light turned yellow, then blue, purple, blue-green, and white. Each time a new color flashed, his aura surged, and as it climbed, it was as if a great mountain was steadily rising before Zhaang Ye!

When his aura reached its peak, Yangx Guyuan roared, ”Zhaang Ye, take this!”

Following his roar, Yangx Guyuan’s fist suddenly punched through the void, and a ball of nearly colorless flame shot out, flying toward Zhaang Ye!

There was no imposing power behind Yangx Guyuan’s punch; it didn’t even stir the air. But the moment he threw it, the world seemed to pause. The usually lively Heaven and Earth Essence Qi froze in the void, as if it had seen something terrifying!

After throwing that punch, Yangx Guyuan looked completely drained. His face turned deathly pale, and the immense aura around him dissipated. The Colorless Flame he had just unleashed was the most powerful attack in the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths Heaven-Burning True Skill. It looked unremarkable, but it contained Yangx Guyuan’s entire life’s Cultivation and could dissolve anything!

Whether he could defeat Zhaang Ye all depended on this ball of colorless flame!

Yangx Guyuan’s eyes were fixed on Zhaang Ye, waiting to see how he would respond.

And ten li away, Ling Kongyun and the robed youth also realized how formidable this Colorless Flame was. They too stared intently at Zhaang Ye, waiting to see how he would neutralize Yangx Guyuan’s final attack.

The colorless flame moved with the speed of light. In less than a ten-thousandth of a blink, it had already crossed over ten zhang to arrive before Zhaang Ye.

At this moment, Zhaang Ye finally made his move. He exuded no aura, and no power surged from his body. Seeing the ball of colorless flame fly toward him, Zhaang Ye made an unbelievable motion.

He reached out and... pinched it!

”Ah!” Yangx Guyuan was stunned. He screamed internally, ’He must be insane! Absolutely insane! My ball of colorless flame might look unremarkable, but it contains infinite heat, enough to boil an entire pond dry. By pinching it, he’s dead! He’s dead for sure!’

”Ah!” Ten li away, Ling Kongyun and the robed youth were also stunned. Although they were ten li from the battlefield, their own energy senses clearly told them of the terrifying power contained within that ball of colorless flame. That flame was powerful enough to turn a ten-thousand-jin boulder into molten magma; flesh and blood were nothing before it!

’Zhaang Ye is so arrogant! He’s dead! Dead for sure! He’ll definitely be burned to ash and disappear completely from the Barbaric World!’ A hint of delight appeared on the faces of Ling Kongyun and the robed youth. Zhaang Ye’s strength was unfathomable, and even though they were powerful and had made preparations, they were unwilling to provoke him lightly. For Zhaang Ye to be killed by Yangx Guyuan now was simply perfect!

The two of them stared with wide eyes, waiting to see Zhaang Ye turn to ash. But in the next moment, their expressions suddenly froze, and their jaws dropped unconsciously. (To be continued.
