I Outworked the Entire Cultivation World

Chapter 361: Chapter 324: [Revision] Yuebai’s Diary (Bonus for 1,500 Monthly Votes in January)

[Year of the Pig, April 1st, Drizzle]

Today I went to Heavenly Sword Peak to apologize, but even before I reached the entrance of the mountain path, I was surrounded by more than a hundred swords.

The nearest one was just a hair’s breadth away from my face!

Looking at them all tense and on high alert, it seems they’ve been ambushed quite a lot by people from Heavenly Hero Peak over the past two years.

Master only told me that sword cultivators are straightforward, but didn’t mention that they are also stubborn with a temper. Even though I’ve come to apologize and have already paid my respects to Sword Lord Guanhan, they still aren’t willing to let me off.

Left with no choice, I had to let them jab me with two swords to vent their anger.

When I finally left, cries could be heard all over Heavenly Sword Peak.

I really didn’t fight back; it’s just that their swords were too fragile, and they snapped when they jabbed me—I couldn’t help it.

Today, I also met Yun Shang and Ge Yuchan. We learned artifact refining together at Yuu Qiuqi’s place.

Yun Shang is still as shy as ever, but Ge Yuchan is much more cheerful. They didn’t call me Martial Uncle or anything, just Little Bai as usual.

After chatting a bit before class, I realized that Ge Yuchan has resolved her inner entanglements.

Two years ago, she went to the Liuyun Sect with True Monarch Fantao and took the title in a tri-sect Foundation Establishment disciple competition, earning widespread attention.

Ge Yuchan said that during that time, she was overwhelmed with all the attention, and being in the spotlight felt like a burden. She prefers the lightness of being low-key and unnoticed.

That’s how people are—only when they have something do they begin to disdain it; things they don’t have they keep longing for, unsatisfied, adorning what they never possessed with endless beauty.

Also, Danggui nearly stole Jixiang—what a naughty cat!

No matter when, teaching others is always a frustrating and helpless task that tests one’s patience.

I’ve been studying the ”Green Dragon Spear Technique” lately, so I asked Jiangg Ziying to teach Shi Xiaowu how to build the Five Elements Wheel Bridge.

In less than a quarter of an hour, Jiangg Ziying came running over to me in tears, saying that Shi Xiaowu couldn’t understand a thing, and that she had explained it very clearly, yet he just didn’t get it.

I think this is a good thing. Let Jiangg Ziying experience the difficulty of teaching now, so she won’t have so many questions for me later.

Teaching others to be empathetic and considerate is wonderful!

Little Monk Niankong surprised me. Despite his young age, he can sit still and meditate on the Prajna Sutra for two hours and had memorized the whole sutra in just a few days.

Practicing horse stance is painful, yet he grits his teeth and endures, with tears welling up in his eyes but never cries out in exhaustion. Such perseverance is commendable.

Prajna Temple is fortunate to have such an heir; it will undoubtedly prosper in the future.

Regarding Niankong, Master told me yesterday that he hopes I can take him to the Vajra Platform and place him under Buddha Venerable Wochen’s guidance, so he can assist Niankong in rebuilding Prajna Temple.

After all, Buddha Venerable Wochen is involved as well, in the causality of the destruction of Prajna Temple and the fall of Ruosheng—it’d be better if he handled it.

I understand that Master is worried that Niankong might hinder my cultivation, and I also know that sending Niankong to Vajra Platform, and having the Divinity Transformation Buddha Venerable Wochen teach him would be much better than having me teach him.

But I still feel somewhat uneasy about it. I’ll wait another two years—when I set off for the Demon Clan, I’ll take him along.

Furthermore, today while meditating, I once again saw that towering Ancient Rong. After waking up, the Little Ganoderma on top of my head had grown noticeably larger.

One more thing that unsettles me: without me seizing anything from heaven and earth, the skill level of the ”Immortal Grass Scripture” increased by a hundred all by itself.

[Year of the Pig, June 6th, Pleasant and Warm]

Having returned to the sect for over three months, I finally met the Supreme Elder today, as well as Song Zhi’ang.

Song Zhi’ang looked unwell, possibly startled by my Core Formation. After a coughing fit before the Supreme Elder, he coughed up blood and fainted, resulting in me getting scolded.

The Supreme Elder said that an issue arose during Song Zhi’ang’s removal of his Water Spirit Root, leading to it corroding his body. The conflict between water and fire persists, as his cultivation increases, his body deteriorates, relying only on Elixirs to suppress the Water Spirit Root.

Moreover, True Monarch Cang Huo’s ”Fire Refining Sky Secret Scripture,” which includes body refining techniques, is the best cultivation technique for him.

Everyone has their struggles. It seems that aside from Xie Jingshan, no one around me finds cultivation easy.

I heard Mountain and Sea Building gave a whole Green Gold Stone Mine to Guiyuan Sword Sect. Xie Jingshan is soaking in the Sword Washing Pool in the Suchen Domain, a privilege not always afforded even to a direct disciple, for as long as he wants.

Having wealth is indeed advantageous!

[Year of the Pig, July 7th, Blazing Heat]

After a month of persistent coaxing, shamelessly haggling, and diligently negotiating with the Supreme Elder, I finally got all my questions answered, though being kicked out in the end was a bit embarrassing.
