I Outworked the Entire Cultivation World

Jiang Yuebai quickly composed herself and accepted the scroll handed over by Lii Jiuchuan.

The original edition of the ”Great Derivation Scripture” is stored on the top floor of the Heavenly Interence Sect’s library. These two scrolls, upper and lower, were later transcribed by the Supreme Elder.

Jiang Yuebai opened the scroll to examine it, while Lii Jiuchuan gave a brief explanation beside her.

”Strictly speaking, ’Great Derivation Scripture’ is not a cultivation technique. It focuses more on the Heaven and Earth Laws. The so-called Great Derivation involves understanding the changes of heaven and earth, using calculative arts to deduce everything between heaven and earth, encompassing all things.”

”The Heaven and Earth Laws described in the upper part are also laying the foundation for the lower part. I have not yet completely comprehended the ’Great Derivation Scripture.’ I only know that from Tai Chi comes the Two Elements, from the Two Elements come the Four Symbols, and from the Four Symbols come the Eight Diagrams. Tai Chi is Taiyi, the Two Elements are Yang one, Yin two, the Four Symbols are Sun one, Lesser Yin two, Lesser Yang three, Taiyin four...”

”By analogy, everything in the world can be deduced using the Great Derivation of Fifty Numbers, following the process of formation, development, prosperity, decline, and extinction. Once you understand the forward deduction, you can reverse the deduction; reverse is the key to the ’Great Derivation Scripture.’”

Jiang Yuebai nodded. She already had a deep understanding of the ’Path of Reversal’ from the upper part of the ’Great Derivation Scripture.’

[The reverse means opposition and resistance is one, but there is another, which is deduction, deducing the cause from the effect is also the reverse. Primordial Chaos creates Chaos, Chaos creates Infinity, Infinity creates Tai Chi, Tai Chi creates Two Elements, Two Elements create Four Symbols, Four Symbols create Eight Diagrams, and from the Eight Diagrams all things are born]

[All things ascend against the flow, practice the Eight Diagrams, master the Four Symbols, refine the Two Qi, unite the Two Elements, comprehend Tai Chi, transform Infinity, return to Chaos, seek to prove the Primordial Chaos, which is the peak of the Great Dao, is the Path of Reversal]

[With Primordial Chaos in hand, all things are mine]

These few words had become the cornerstone of Jiang Yuebai’s Path of the Reversed Great Dao.

Lii Jiuchuan continued, ”In other words, the purpose of cultivating the ’Great Derivation Scripture’ is to prove the Primordial Chaos Great Dao. Take a simple example, like the Longevity Gu of the Witch Clan. Even a cultivator reaching the Mahayana Realm cannot see the trace of the Longevity Gu, let alone catch it.”

”But if one masters the Time Law, they can step into the Time River, and catching the Longevity Gu would be as easy as fishing in the river. Primordial Chaos is like an even more elusive Longevity Gu, requiring all the laws of everything to form a river before the fish of Primordial Chaos can be seen.”

Jiang Yuebai mused, ”So, other cultivators only need to master one law to seek the Dao and become immortal, but the ’Great Derivation Scripture’ requires mastering all the world’s laws, surpassing the Immortal Gods, and directly becoming the Heavenly Dao?”

Lii Jiuchuan nodded, ”That’s exactly right.”

Jiang Yuebai’s eyes widened, shocked by the overwhelming imposing aura.

What kind of woman is Lu Xingyun who could create such an overpowering cultivation technique that transcends the heavens and earth? Just the idea alone puts all creatures far behind her.

She’s not trying to cultivate immortality; she wants to become the heavens!

”Is this really... possible? Did the founder achieve it?”

Jiang Yuebai asked, trembling unexpectedly. If Lu Xingyun did it, wouldn’t the heavenly dao controlling this world be Lu Xingyun?

”Probably not,” Lii Jiuchuan furrowed his brows. ”The Supreme Elder once searched for the founder’s traces in the Upper Realm. Like other Mahayana Immortal Monarchs, she ascended, not replacing the heavens. Perhaps in the legendary Immortal Realm or Divine Realm, she is still practicing this path.”

Jiang Yuebai couldn’t help but marvel, ”What a solid foundation she laid... truly exceptional!”

It’s a relief that the heavenly dao is not Lu Xingyun; otherwise, she would have an unshakable feeling of unease. There’s nothing more terrifying than a heavenly dao with human consciousness.

”Then how exactly should the lower part of the ’Great Derivation Scripture’ be practiced? At first glance, it’s all Yin-Yang calculative arts, like Yin one Yang two, Heaven one Water Earth two Fire,” Jiang Yuebai asked.

Lii Jiuchuan asked back, ”Do you remember the process of deducing the Five Elements Rotation and transforming yourself into Water Spirit?”

Jiang Yuebai’s pupils trembled slightly and she immediately understood as if enlightened.

”It’s about transforming everything into numbers, following Tai Chi Two Elements, Yin-Yang Eight Diagrams, and deducing the most fundamental existence, right? Doesn’t that mean understanding first before deducing the origin?”

Just like that leaf—initially, she didn’t know the leaf was a fusion of Water Spirit Energy and Wood Spirit Qi. It wasn’t until after Core Formation when she ’saw’ the spiritual energy of all things in heaven and earth mixed together, she realized the composition of the leaf.

But above the Water Spirit Energy and Wood Spirit Qi composing the leaf, there are one or more layers of rules. Practicing the ’Great Derivation Scripture’ means deducing those upper-layer rules and eventually understanding how the first leaf in the world came from chaos and primordial chaos.

It sounds quite unbelievable, almost like a myth.

But Lu Xingyun’s ascension to the Immortal Realm proves it’s not entirely a myth. At least she proved one law among all worldly laws—otherwise, how could she ascend?

Lii Jiuchuan added, ”’Great Derivation Scripture’ is very long and complicated, accompanying your entire path of immortal cultivation. You don’t need to rush. The Five Elements being complete is the foundation of the ’Great Derivation Scripture.’ Only on this basis can you deduce. Grasping just one law is enough, and each law has its unique power.”

”For example, a great power who masters the ’Method of Life and Death’ can transform death into life and life into death with a single thought. Telling you this now is too early; everyone has different understandings of laws, leading them to comprehend different Daos.”

”As your teacher, I can’t help you much more. You deduce according to the Method within it, and any gains will be like your first enlightenment, receiving a baptism of the Great Dao, Spiritual Energy flooding you. That’s possibly the only way the ’Great Derivation Scripture’ can enhance cultivation.”

Jiang Yuebai nodded; indeed, this thing is rather complicated. Her mind was in a whirl, needing to calm down and sort it out.

In any case, she understood one thing: the ’Great Derivation Scripture’ isn’t used for cultivation but for comprehending the Great Dao, laying the groundwork for mastering laws and proving the Dao Fruit in the future.

Saying it’s powerful is indeed true!

But for her, a freshly minted Little Golden Core, it’s not of much use.

She can’t just forgo the cultivation technique that steadily enhances cultivation to sit around daily, waiting for the heavenly dao to force-feed her Spiritual Energy like spoon-feeding her meals, right?

That’s too unstable!

Better to continue focusing on the ’Five Elements Returning to Truth Skill’, supplementing with the ’Great Derivation Scripture’ in her spare time.

”Master, just out of curiosity, which law have you delved into?”

Lii Jiuchuan extended his hand, and the leaf appeared again on his palm, transitioning from tender green to deep green, from deep green to deep red, eventually withering into ash.

”In my earlier years, I comprehended the Five Elements Rotation Method from the four seasons, and for centuries I’ve delved into the path of seasonal transitions. Now, I’ve only slightly gained, still not considered a law.”

Lii Jiuchuan withdrew his hand and stood up, ”You’ve just formed your core and still need to nurture and stabilize it properly. On the way back, it’s best to stay in the quiet room within the ship and cultivate diligently. I’ll watch over things outside, so no need to worry.”

Jiang Yuebai got up to send Lii Jiuchuan out, closed the quiet room door tightly, and activated the protection array. She sat on her bed, savoring the words her master had just spoken.

”Completely clueless, not even sure where to start. How did the founder’s mind work, to come up with such a complex thing? Did she grow up eating Calculation Scriptures? It’s all numbers!”

She patted her head, trying to shake out all the Yin-Yang calculations from her brain before immersing her consciousness into her small lotus world.

Huu~~

A cold wind blew over, instantly freezing Jiang Yuebai’s consciousness avatar into an ice sculpture.

She was surprised to see that the grassy area, originally ten mu in size, was now covered in snow, and heavy snow was falling beneath the starry sky.

The pond was frozen, and the tree ablaze was pressed down by the cold, its flames nearly extinguished.

What happened here?
