Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 311: Chapter 114: May This World Shine Like Gold

In the first year of the Giant Dragon Calendar, which marks the birth of the calendar within the Dragon’s Nest territory.

The Land of Golden in winter remains warm.

In the first city born within this vast territory, the Golden City, the bustling and noisy atmosphere seems to make the warm weather even more scorching.

Early in the morning, the city’s inhabitants hastily ate their breakfast, a simple mashed potato salad paired with a small bowl of rich mushroom soup.

Then, without even tidying up at home, they hurriedly stepped out with their families, quickly heading to the Central Square of the Golden City.

Many outsiders who came to this land for trade or were stranded in the city, such as business groups, minstrels, adventurers, and spies from various forces, also put down everything at hand on this day.

They followed the massive, noisy crowds towards the spacious square built specifically for the dragons at the city’s center.

Even some villagers from remote villages within the territory made a special trip to the city on this day.

They swarmed like waves sweeping across the sea, gathering before the high stone platform of the Central Square, for the celebratory festival, and for the free-flowing fine wine and roasted meat.

More importantly, to glimpse the grandeur of the dragons ruling this land. This close contact with all the true dragons was a rare moment never before experienced.

On the high and wide stone platform sat the majestic giant dragon, standing like a firm and solemn king, with ruby-red eyes filled with wisdom and serenity.

A pair of long, crimson trident dragon horns served as the crown on this monarch’s head, a scepter of power. The sixteen-meter-long body resembled the most perfect sculpture in the world, with scales gradually turning dark red, reflecting brilliant halos under the rising sun, perfect and mighty!

The King of Earth and Metal, the Monarch of Flames and Magma, Karon Gogomola.

Or perhaps the title propagated by a small number of human scholars: the Dragon that Shaped World Civilization!

This was the title belonging to the supreme ruler of this territory, but not all dragons would earn a title of their own.

Only those dragons whose strength and talents were extremely outstanding among the dragons could gain others’ recognition and earn a title of their own.

Although some of these titles aimed to incite jealousy and conflict among the Five-Color Dragons, who revered titles and vanity, it was undeniable how gifted the Red Dragon, who had his title since youth, truly was.

As for Gomot, also revered in this land as the White King, and Camid, who was fortunate enough to be associated with Gomot and thus named the White King’s Twin Sons.

Their titles only circulated within the territory and did not achieve widespread recognition in the civilized world like the Red Dragon.

Behind this supreme ruler, members of the Gogomola Dragon Group were lined up, occupying space. The female Red Dragon Kleyna, female Green Dragon Antajena, and female Bronze Dragon Alina were situated on the right side.

While Black Dragon Rosani, young Blue Dragon Akzhi, Blue Dragon Doss, the White King’s Twins, and Red Copper Dragon Alfred were lined majestically on the left side.

However, many residents of the Golden City were already familiar with the two Blue Dragons, after all, this place was near the sea area where the Blue Dragons frequently appeared.

They were the lords guarding the sea region, and their temperament was not as irritable as the other Five-Color Dragons, gaining much admiration and affection through frequent contact.

Even though, under the nature of Five-Color Dragons, these two Blue Dragons occasionally intimidated or played pranks on fishermen and children by the sea, few were genuinely afraid of them.

As for the Green Dragon Antajena, who wasn’t particularly attractive in Karon’s eyes, she was considered a beautiful giant dragon in the eyes of the people.

The crown-like dragon horns on her head and her jade-colored scales were much loved by women and children, especially the Green Dragon dancing among flying birds when patrolling the sky, creating a stunning scene.

There were also two White Dragons, with Gomotain maintaining order in the territory early on, contributing to the successful initial development of the Golden City, thus earning a following.

The impression left by White Dragon Camid wasn’t profound, as this White Dragon always preferred to nap in his lair, hoping to grow stronger following Karon’s teachings.

Nevertheless, due to the low-price ice block business, the people benefiting from this service held a kind view towards this White Dragon.

Especially the ever-increasing dwarf wine groups, whistling under the high platform, loudly shouting, ”Hey, look, this is the generous White Dragon Lord, the dwarves’ beloved!”

Concerning Black Dragon Rosani, the public opinion treatment wasn’t as favorable as the other dragons. Although Black Dragons often soared across the sky, safeguarding the territory, the Black Dragon’s former terrifying appearance, coupled with its rumored bloodthirstiness and insidiousness, always cast a dark aura over them.

Although now the Black Dragon no longer resembled its former skeletal dragon appearance, it made the people at the Beast Park revere and avoid it more.

This guy frequently ran to the Beast Park to evaluate the Elf Druids, Human Beast Trainers, and Jackal-Wolf Man animal management personnel and always demanded their job focus on caring for horse herds, interrupting others’ work.
