Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 469: Chapter 467: Dark Mark

The voices of the Aurors outside drifted into the tent, and Charlie finally breathed a sigh of relief. He wiped the sweat from his forehead, then couldn’t help but lift his foot and give Malfoy a good kick.

”A rare opportunity...” Charlie turned back to Kael and said, ”This guy was laughing the loudest just now and was the first to use the Crucio Curse. I’ve wanted to do this for a long time.”

”Crucio Curse?” Kael frowned and said, ”Then you all...”

”Oh, it’s fine, Dad luckily dodged it... twice in a row.”

As he spoke, Charlie got angry again. The foot he had just put down was lifted again, and he gave Malfoy’s side another round of kicks.

During this time, Malfoy seemed to show signs of waking up, so Charlie decisively added a Stunning Spell, then continued kicking.

Kael also walked over with a bottle in hand.

The noise outside grew quieter, and the sky no longer flickered like fireworks.

After about an hour, the surroundings gradually quieted down.

Mr. Weasley returned, bringing a group of stern-looking Aurors with him.

As soon as they entered the tent, the Aurors saw a few people tied up in the corner.

”By Merlin’s beard!” One of them obviously recognized these people and exclaimed, ”They’re all from those pure-blood families... Arthur, are you sure you didn’t make a mistake?”

”Of course not, Delius, I assure you,” Mr. Weasley said, pointing to a pile of hoods and masks nearby. ”These are all their belongings. And the headmaster of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, Madam Olympe Maxime, can also testify.”

”Maxime?” Delius was somewhat surprised.

He certainly knew Olympe Maxime, who held a prestigious position in France and had significant influence.

He just didn’t expect that foreign wizards were involved, let alone such a famous one.

”These people tried to abduct students from Beauxbatons earlier,” Mr. Weasley explained. ”They seem to want to use this to coerce Maxime into doing something.”

”Despicable means.” Delius scoffed disdainfully, waved his wand, and dragged them out of the tent.

”You’ve worked hard, Arthur.”

After they were dragged away, Delius smiled and said to Mr. Weasley, ”Winning in a one-on-seven fight, I never realized you were this formidable before... You should consider becoming an Auror.”

”You misunderstood, it’s because...” Mr. Weasley was just about to explain, but thinking about the illegal Chomping Cabbage, he immediately shut his mouth and instead said, ”It wasn’t just me; the kids helped a lot too.”

”Four against seven, and capturing them unharmed is impressive enough,” Delius said. ”If you ask me, you should really consider becoming an Auror. It’s at least better than staying in that cramped office you’re in now.”

”It really wasn’t my doing,” Mr. Weasley wanted to explain, but he realized no matter what, he couldn’t avoid mentioning the Chomping Cabbage, which left his face turning red.

”Alright, I get it, seems you really like your current job,” Delius said with a cheerful smile. ”But we have to go, Arthur. There’s still a lot to be done. See you at the Ministry.”

”Alright,” Mr. Weasley nodded helplessly.

After the Aurors left, Mr. Weasley wiped the dirt-mixed sweat from his face with his robe. He looked at Kael and, after hesitating for a while, still said, ”Those Chomping Cabbages...”

”I got them from the school’s greenhouse,” Kael said, ”for brewing magic potions.”

”I don’t doubt that,” Mr. Weasley shook his head. ”But that still doesn’t comply with regulations. If someone wants to make an issue of it, you might have some trouble.”

”It’s alright, Dad,” Bill came over, patting his chest and said, ”We can just say I gave Kael the Chomping Cabbages at that time. As a Curse Breaker, especially in a dangerous place like the Pyramid, it’s perfectly reasonable to carry some magic plants for protection.”

”No, let it be pinned on me instead,” Charlie also stepped forward.

”The Chomping Cabbage is one of the Chinese Fireball Dragon’s favorite snacks. I work at the Romanian Fire Dragon Reserve, so carrying some Fire Dragon snacks is quite reasonable, right?”

”Thanks, but I think it won’t be necessary,” Kael said with a smile, shaking his head.

”The wounds caused by the Chomping Cabbage aren’t hard to treat. I used a special magic potion and healing magic on them earlier. By now, the wounds should almost be healed, right?”

”That’s good,” Mr. Weasley said, ”If that’s the case, then a lot of trouble can be avoided...”

Bill, standing nearby, inexplicably raised an eyebrow.

Previously, he was too tense to notice, but now thinking it over...

Using a Disillusionment Charm to launch a sneak attack, then using a magic potion to erase the wounds caused by the Chomping Cabbage... wow, Kael’s series of actions are practically flawless.

What on earth has he been learning at school these past few years...

However, Mr. Weasley didn’t pay much attention to these details. He looked at Kael, just about to ask where Harry and Ron were, when outside, another burst of exclamations came.

”Oh, damn, is it not over yet?”

Mr. Weasley ran out of the tent, but the next second, he was drawn to something flashing in the air.

It was an enormous skull, with a large serpent emerging from its mouth...

Mr. Weasley’s eyes widened. He knew exactly what this was; in fact, any older wizard would know.

”By Merlin’s beard...” Mr. Weasley exclaimed, unable to help but say, ”Why is there a Dark Mark here? Wasn’t Malfoy already captured?”

He had always thought that Lucius Malfoy was the mastermind behind this riot, but now it seemed evident that there were others involved, and they were even more brazen than Malfoy.

In the Magic Realm, the Dark Mark isn’t something released casually, especially after Voldemort’s downfall. If anyone foolishly got caught, the punishment wouldn’t be much lighter than using an Unforgivable Curse.

Following behind, Bill and Charlie also saw the Dark Mark flashing in the sky.

”Looks like there are still some evaders,” Charlie said.

”Dad, should we go over and take a look?”

Mr. Weasley naturally wanted to go; after all, the Dark Mark hadn’t appeared in over a decade, and even he was curious to uncover what exactly was going on.

But before he could make a decision, a loud popping sound came from around them.

Somehow, the restriction preventing Disillusionment in the camp had been lifted. At the sight of the Dark Mark, nearly half of the Aurors and Beaters immediately rushed over.

There were about fifty people in total.

”Forget it...” Mr. Weasley shook his head, ”There are already enough people. Even if we went, we wouldn’t be of any help.”
