”All set?” he said while pressing some buttons on the Web-Jet.

”Correct. The destination is approximately 20 minutes away. I recommend you get ready,” Cortana said, appearing behind him while he was looking ahead.

”Correct.”

Getting up from the pilot’s seat, he turned around, surprised to see Cortana.

”Are you wearing clothes?” He was puzzled to see her clothed. ’What is even stranger is that she is dressed like Weapon from Halo Infinite.’

”Well, I wanted to change my style. Besides, when I introduce myself to the girls, when the time comes, I do not want to appear half-naked.”

”Mmm. The outfit looks nice on you,” he said while looking her up and down, seeing that the suit suited her quite well.

”Thanks. And as a side note, you are the only one who can see me half-naked,” she said as she approached him and spoke in a flirty tone.

”I like hearing that,” he said while looking down into those captivating blue eyes.

”Although I would like to continue this conversation, I have to get ready for arrival. I want you to mark everyone inside the place and mark Klaue. We will be doing this mission with the utmost caution. Understood?”

”As crystal clear as glass,” she said. He nodded, walked through to the back, and looked for his things.

From one of the shelves he took a backpack along with four katanas.

Two of them stood out because their blade was red.

When he put on the backpack he placed two katanas in it in the shape of an X, and when he put on the belt he placed the other two on his right side. Finally, he put a holster on his left side of the belt.

Turning around, he approached the cockpit and picked up his helmet from the copilot’s seat.

Looking at it for a few seconds, he admired its new design, smiled, put it on, and turned back to head toward the hangar where Cortana was waiting for him.

”We are getting closer. I will put the Web-Jet in silent mode and we will go down,” she exclaimed while looking at him.

”The Red Ronin suit is functioning very good, they cannot be even detected by my sensors.”

”Fantastic.... By the way, how is it outside?” he asked as he walked over to the manual button that opened the Web-Jet doors and leaned back against the wall.

”Umm.... If you mean is there a beautiful starry sky and is the temperature good? A beautiful night. Why do you ask?” she said while looking at him and squinting.

”Just curious,” he said while shrugging.

For a few seconds Cortana looked at him with narrowed eyes waiting for him to do something, but he was just leaning curiously against the wall near the buttons. ”How much longer?”

”Not long. We will be flying over the target in a few moments.”

He waited a few seconds until she turned around.

Taking advantage of that moment he acted.

Just like JARVIS, Cortana had a program to take care of him, and just like Stark he decided to ignore it.

He quickly pressed the button and approached the door. When he turned his head slightly he saw that Cortana was giving him an angry look.

He gave her the typical soldier salute, and saw her face go from angry to worried because she noticed a certain detail.

He was not wearing a parachute.

”Peter!” he heard her scream.

Looking down, he got into a boost position and started to gain speed. Through the HUD, he could see Cortana’s worried face, and that made him feel a little bad for scaring her.

”You jumped without a parachute! Idiot! Do you want to die?!”

”Yeah, yeah, yeah. I do not need it,” he said indifferently while Cortana’s face showed disbelief.

”You do not need it?! You do not need it?! Who said so?! You are not immortal!”

”Do not worry. I am currently using a new invention I created. Take this opportunity as the perfect time to use it.”

”You could not have told me sooner! Sigh.... I was worried for nothing.” She was clearly annoyed.

”Hahaha. I apologize. Tell me, am I getting closer to the target?”

”Sigh.” She sighed. ”Go a little further to the left and maintain this speed. You will see the place soon.”

Before disappearing from the HUD she added: ”Happy hunting.”

After settling in, he waited a few seconds and saw his target: a horrifying, dilapidated ship, but clearly operational. Using the magnifying glasses, he saw some people with low and high caliber weapons.

”Cortana, targets,” he said, and on his helmet’s HUD several orange dots appeared. The one that interested him most was the red dot with the name Ulysses Klaue.

”Perfect.”

He quickly scanned the ship from the outside and saw that the perfect spot to land was behind it. Once at an optimal height, a cape unfolded from his backpack, which he quickly grabbed. It transformed into the shape of the mythical cape of a certain dark knight.

Gliding with the cape to the back of the ship, he slowly began to descend. In front of him was an unsuspecting fellow.

Seeing him, he aimed and with a powerful double kick sent him crashing into the ship’s wall, where he lay unconscious. Pressing a button on his jacket, the cape went back into the backpack.

When he looked to the left he saw on the HUD a red dot approaching his position. Moving toward a wall, he aimed downward and waited until the red dot was close.

When it reached his position he fired, and quickly fired two more consecutive shots upward. The dot changed from red to blue.

Turning around, he looked at the knocked-out subject and approached him, tearing off a piece of his clothing and gagging him, then grabbing both his arms and dislocating them along with his two legs.

The pain was enough to wake him, but before he could do anything, he knocked him out again with a blow to the back of the neck.

’Even if I wanted to kill him, he might be necessary in the future. I will only kill those on an extremely blacklist,’ he thought as he got up and walked down the corridor.

”Cortana, mark those with the most heinous crimes. I do not want any questions.” Several red dots then turned black. There was one right near him.

”Cortana, play the music.”
