Unrivaled Miracle Doctor: The God-Defying Demonic Consort

Chapter 297: Chapter 297: Palace Turmoil Rising (Part 9)

Within the Imperial Palace, outside a secluded palace, two groups are confronting each other.

On one side, it’s the Empress and her followers, while on the other side are Prince Rui and Mu Qingge. Crown Prince Qin Jinxiu is currently nowhere to be seen.

”Qin Jinhao, are you rebelling? How dare you bring people to storm the palace!” The Empress, shielded by her people at the palace entrance, harshly questions Prince Rui.

At this moment, Prince Rui has already stepped forward, clutching the treasure sword in his hand, sneering at the Empress Han’s questioning: ”Father is gravely ill, yet the Empress refuses to allow me, his son, to visit. I would rather ask what exactly it is that the Empress wants? Several days ago, it came out that Father was displeased with the Crown Prince. Then, suddenly, he falls seriously ill. I now suspect the Empress, along with the Crown Prince, has imprisoned Father to conduct unspeakable deeds. In unavoidable circumstances, for Father’s safety, I had no choice but to storm the palace. Empress, all of tonight’s events are caused by you; do you have the right to speak to me?”

”Humph, twisting the facts! His Majesty’s illness makes visits unsuitable; I’m simply following medical advice,” says the Empress Han coldly.

”Not suitable for visits? Hao’er can’t see His Majesty, then can I not either? The Empress is His Majesty’s wife, does that mean I am not? Or is it the Imperial Physician dictated that only the Empress and Crown Prince may see His Majesty, and anyone else who does will worsen his condition?” An incisive voice interjects.

Mu Qingge, who had withdrawn to the side to spectate the drama, glances back and spots Imperial Concubine Jiang elegantly walking over amid supportive groups.

She is still alluring and charming, exuding elegance. But now, she has a sharper and cooler presence, and... a kind of exhilaration of having the situation under control.

”Mother Concubine.” Seeing her arrive, Prince Rui hastens to show respectful salutation, fully embodying filial piety.

”Hao’er, you’ve been wronged.” Imperial Concubine Jiang steps forward, grasping Qin Jinhao’s hand, filled with heartache.

Qin Jinhao swiftly says, ”This is what I should do. For Father’s safety, how can I fear scorn from the world?”

”Such a good child, your Father would be proud of you,” Imperial Concubine Jiang says with gratitude.

Their mutual display of sympathy not only darkens the Empress Han’s expression but nearly makes Mu Qingge nauseous.

”Enough! His Majesty is now gravely ill, yet you use this to attempt a coup. Such treachery, if it spreads, the people of Qin Country won’t spare you. I advise you to retreat quickly; cease this reckless path,” says the Empress Han.

Qin Jinhao and Imperial Concubine Jiang exchange a glance, inwardly sneering.

At this stage, will they really stop? What naivety.

”Act!” Qin Jinhao’s eyes chill, ordering with killing intent.

Upon his command, the soldiers behind him rush out and clash with the Empress Han’s people.

Watching the chaotic battlefield, Qin Jinhao becomes increasingly arrogant. ’Qingge is right! History is written by the victors; for major accomplishments, why fret over trivial details? A real man must be ruthless when necessary. Once these people are killed, who else will know what happened tonight?’

The Empress Han’s people are already outnumbered compared to Qin Jinhao’s forces, and with Dragon Tooth Guards intermittently striking, victory soon becomes apparent.

The Empress Han, ragged and disheveled, is tossed at Imperial Concubine Jiang and Qin Jinhao’s feet.

She braces her hands on the ground, looking up at them, coldly laughing: ”Do you think killing me will allow you to seize the throne? Let me tell you, you won’t. Don’t forget, my son is the rightful Crown Prince!”

”Is this person whom the Empress is referring to?” Mu Qingge suddenly speaks mockingly.

As she finishes speaking, Qin Jinxiu, with disheveled hair and clothes, is thrown out beside the Empress.

In his wretched state, he seems severely hurt. Even the sinews in his hands and feet are severed, reduced to a cripple.

”Xiuer! Xiuer!” As soon as Qin Jinxiu appears, Empress Han collapses onto him, screaming in agony.

However, Qin Jinxiu can only moan piteously. It is then that Empress Han realizes the Qin Country’s Crown Prince’s tongue has also been cut out.

”What have you done to Xiuer!” Empress Han, eyes blazing, lunges forward, only to be kicked in the abdomen by someone nearby, folding in pain.

The tragic state of Qin Jinxiu fills Qin Jinhao and Imperial Concubine Jiang with pleasure. Seeing the high and mighty Empress Han now lying like a dead dog at their feet, they feel sheer delight.

”Xiuer! Xiuer! Call for the Imperial Physician—!” Empress Han, unknowing what to do, watches Qin Jinxiu in agony. She had planned for him to sneak out of the palace, meet the Han Family, and then return. Why has it turned out like this?

”Imperial Physician? Humph, is the Empress still unclear about the current situation?” Imperial Concubine Jiang, who battled her a lifetime, sneers.

As Qin Jinhao and Imperial Concubine Jiang revel in their triumph, Mu Qingge’s eyes grow increasingly mocking.

She taunts: ”Empress, the Crown Prince apparently wanted to abandon you and flee the palace. Do tell, if he hadn’t done anything wrong, why would he run? We had no choice but to make him quiet.”

Want to run, Qin Jinxiu? It depends on whether Mu Qingge allows it.

”You! You treacherous thing! Your Mu Family is conspiring with them to rebel and seize the throne! You will all die regrettably!” With her only hope crushed, a torrent of venomous words spills from Empress Han’s mouth.

Mu Qingge smiles lightly, lips curling: ”Thank you for the reminder, Empress. But, this Lord only seeks to live joyfully, too busy to care about what comes after death. It’s unnecessary for the Empress to worry about how this Lord may die.”

With that said, she withdraws to the side. Hmm, continue watching the drama unfold.

Qin Jinhao steps forward, his cold gaze upon Empress Han, ordering: ”Come, the Empress and Crown Prince intended to rebel and harm His Majesty. During my rescue of His Majesty, they resisted in vain and unfortunately died!”

With one sentence, their fate is sealed.

Empress Han’s eyes brim with hatred, glaring at Qin Jinhao and Imperial Concubine Jiang as if wanting to tear flesh from their bones.

Qin Jinxiu is similar, though his gaze also holds deep resentment.

As chaos descends, the corners of Mu Qingge’s mouth lift. Witnessing Empress Han and Qin Jinxiu being slain by the barrage of swords, this outcome greatly satisfies her.

However, this account isn’t entirely settled yet...
