Unrivaled Miracle Doctor: The God-Defying Demonic Consort

Chapter 158: Chapter 158: If You Leave, I Shall Follow (Part 1)

Eastern Palace, the sleeping quarters of the Crown Prince of Qin Country.

At this moment, Qin Jinxiu was pacing back and forth in the hall, his eyebrows knitted with impatience.

Suddenly, from outside came the voice of an Eunuch—

”The Empress arrives—!”

This voice brought a gleam of joy to Qin Jinxiu’s heart, and he hurriedly headed towards the door.

”Your son welcomes the Empress’s arrival!”

Qin Jinxiu knelt outside the hall and spoke to the graceful woman approaching.

The Empress Han maintained a stately and noble smile, the phoenix hairpin on her head shining brightly. She bent down, personally helping her only son from the ground: ”Get up quickly, the ground is cold.”

Following her words, Qin Jinxiu stood up, dismissed the Palace Maid, and took Empress Han’s arm, leading her into the palace.

After Empress Han entered the palace and saw her son behaved, she nodded in satisfaction.

After ordering the entourage to wait outside, the vast palace was left with only the mother and son.

”Mother, can you be sure that Mu Xiong won’t return alive?” Qin Jinxiu asked eagerly.

Empress Han glanced at him and smiled, ”You and your impatience are truly worrisome.”

Seeing her not answering directly, Qin Jinxiu frowned and asked again, ”Mother, is Mu Xiong truly doomed?” His tone carried a sinister coldness and cruelty.

Empress Han nodded lightly, her expression full of confident arrogance.

”Great, that’ll be excellent! This way, let’s see how Mu Qingge dares to be rude and reckless in front of me!” Qin Jinxiu’s face showed excitement, though he thought more than he spoke.

For example, once news of Mu Xiong’s death returned, how would he bring Mu Qingge into his residence to torment and abuse her?

These past days, he had been anxiously awaiting this day, unable to sleep at night!

”When will you ever change that childish nature of yours?” Empress Han said helplessly. If it weren’t for Mu Xiong being a thorn that must be removed, she wouldn’t have acted in line with her son’s wishes.

”Mu Qingge only verbally offended you, does it really warrant you, the favored son of heaven, to take it so to heart?” Empress Han curiously asked.

Qin Jinxiu laughed slightly, covering it up.

His true motive for Mu Qingge was something he didn’t intend to tell Empress Han, even if she was his biological mother.

What provoked him was not her defiance, but her stunning beauty.

Thinking of those calm yet arrogant eyes soon begging under him, he couldn’t help but feel a thrill!

Seeing him not speaking, Empress Han didn’t think much of it and continued, ”I’ve already instructed your uncle to delay military supplies during the war. What kind of place is Yi City? A desolate land of poor mountains and waters. Without military supplies, no matter how capable Mu Xiong is, he can only be trapped there.” After speaking, a hint of ruthlessness flashed in her eyes.

Hearing the entire plan from Empress Han, Qin Jinxiu felt a step closer to what he wanted.

Yet, he still asked, ”Would Father suspect us?” After all, compared to the throne, Mu Qingge was less irreplaceable.

”Don’t worry about your father.” Empress Han smiled, ”Not to mention he doesn’t want Mu Xiong to continue living, even if he knows, when Mu Xiong is dead, what can he do? Once he takes over the Mu Family army, he might even credit you for it.”

”Then I can be at ease.” Qin Jinxiu showed a smile, his sinister look gone, revealing some elegance.
