Unrivaled Miracle Doctor: The God-Defying Demonic Consort

Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Lord Plays at Calling the Troops (Part 1)

Mu Qingge did not delay, but nodded cheerfully.

Her composure made Mu Xiong feel gratified, and he nodded continuously, saying, ”You really have grown up. Although you cannot cultivate, if you can have loyal trusted aides, it will be difficult for ordinary people to harm you. Once you’ve chosen your trusted aides, during training, let You He, Hua Yue, and that boy Mo Yang join in. They all serve by your side, so having more skills is always good.”

It turns out the old man brought these three people with this idea in mind.

Mu Qingge understood in her heart.

Regarding Mu Xiong’s decision, she did not oppose it. On the contrary, she strongly agreed.

”Once you’ve chosen your trusted aides, I’ll have your Uncle Xiong train them, then...”

”Grandfather, this time, I hope to train the chosen trusted aides myself.” Mu Qingge interrupted Mu Xiong.

”Oh, what!” Mu Xiong reacted, suddenly raising his voice in shock.

His reaction made the people guarding around all look over.

”Ahem.” Mu Xiong coughed to cover up, and once everyone withdrew their gazes, he sternly said to Mu Qingge, ”Ge’er, are you joking? What can you train? Training soldiers is not child’s play.”

”Grandfather, I’m speaking very seriously.” Mu Qingge looked directly at Mu Xiong, her clear eyes filled with sincerity.

Mu Xiong’s brows furrowed tightly, as if trying to see through Mu Qingge’s thoughts, yet he realized he had somehow stopped understanding his little grandchild.

”Grandfather doesn’t believe me?” Mu Qingge countered.

Mu Xiong’s heart was bitter.

He believed in his grandchild, but believing did not equate to Mu Qingge being adept at training soldiers.

In the Sunset Wilderness, Mu Qingge had lost the lives of five hundred trusted aides. This had already formed a backlash in the hearts of the soldiers. If not for her later bravely admitting her mistake, and enduring two hundred lashes with dignity, which earned the soldiers’ respect, who would willingly come to serve as her trusted aide?

Yet, being willing to guard Mu Qingge is one thing; accepting her training is another matter.

His little grandchild was still too immature, too proud and ambitious.

Did she really think these soldiers were easy to tame?

”Ge’er, this...” Mu Xiong was internally resistant.

However, facing his grandchild’s eyes, so clear they seemed to penetrate one’s soul, he found himself unable to voice opposition.

”Since grandfather trusts me, then let’s decide it this way. This time, the selection, as long as it’s based on my wishes, will be done according to my methods. As for those selected, no need to trouble Uncle Xiong; I will naturally train them. If grandfather still has concerns, why don’t we make a bet?” Mu Qingge suggested effortlessly.

”What kind of bet?” Mu Xiong instinctively followed Mu Qingge’s lead.

Originally, he should have resolutely rejected Mu Qingge’s antics, but ended up listening to her conditions.

However, the old man himself remained unaware at the moment.

Mu Qingge smirked playfully: ”Isn’t grandfather worried about my ability to lead troops? How about three months from now, my five hundred trusted aides compete against the remaining soldiers in grandfather’s army, and see who is stronger or weaker? The loser will have to fulfill a promise.”

Mu Xiong’s beard quivered, and his tiger eyes widened: ”You brat, truly like a newborn calf unafraid of the tiger. How could your mere five hundred people stand against my nearly ten thousand soldiers?”

”If we don’t try, how do we know it won’t work?” Mu Qingge smiled with a hint of mischievousness, yet it somehow made her words feel credible.

Mu Xiong nodded involuntarily, and by the time he realized it, he’d already walked to the training ground. As he looked at her slender and striking figure in bright red attire, he realized he’d been tricked by his own grandchild.
