Ferocious Boss: Hubby, Let’s Get Married

Chapter 853: Uncle, That Concubine Is Mine

She had thought this slapstick program would probably deter a man like Qin Jingzhi from coming, considering that it required its participants to create a ruckus and act crazy.

In the filming process, the emcee let Qin Jingzhi choose a teammate out of the few actresses who played the concubines. He practically did not hesitate twice when he chose Yan Qingsi.

The emcee asked him why he chose Yan Qingsi because Qin Jingzhi was supposed to choose the female lead, Zeng Qiaoqiao, according to the playscript. “Among these concubines, Consort Zhao received the most attention,” Qin Jingzhi answered him in the end, “Of course I have to choose her.”

The emcee had no choice but to go along with Qin Jingzhi’s reasoning and continue with the show.

They took a break halfway through the shooting. “Long time no see. How have you been doing lately,” Qin Jingzhi asked Yan Qingsi.

Yan Qingsi bobbed her head. “Thank you for your concern, Uncle Qin. I’m doing well. Oh, right. That time when the Movie King Song gave me the script—I think it’s great. I’ve decided to take up the role.”

Qin Jingzhi smiled. “I knew you would take the role,” he said, “Come on, let’s take a wefie. I haven’t seen you for so long.”

He took out his phone and pulled Yan Qingsi over for a photo.

Then he immediately posted it on his Weibo. The captions read, ‘I haven’t seen my concubine in such a long time. She’s still as elegant and beautiful as ever! @Yan Qingsi’.

Consequently, Qin Jingzhi made Yan Qingsi into a trending topic on Weibo alongside him that day.

It was hard-pressed to find people flaming Yan Qingsi this time, strangely enough. Instead, a lot of netizens were discussing topics concerning the in-character shipping of the two.

[Is it just me or does Qinyan make an #Imperialship?]

[It’s not just you. A king and his queen. They were made for each other!]

[What #Imperialship? It should be #Qinshi. It sounds so good!]

Yue Tingfeng saw the comments on Weibo in the break room. He was so mad that he was purpling around the neck. This Uncle Qin was already so old. Did he have no shame?

He even said, my concubine. My concubine, my concubine…

Anonymously, Yue Tingfeng straightaway posted a snapping comment, [I just see an old, perverted bull wanting a taste of fresh flowers.]

Then he was immediately attacked by a group of fans of Qin Jingzhi.

…

After they finished shooting, Qin Jingzhi left without going to the break room. Before he left, he spoke to Yan Qingsi, “We’ll begin shooting in about two months. I’ll let you know soon. You have to empty your schedule for it, okay?”

Yan Qingsi nodded. “Got it.”

Qin Jingzhi finally left. Zeng Keren passed by Yan Qingsi. “You better watch yourself now that you already have a boyfriend,” she said coldly, “Don’t go cozying up to any man you see. People will think badly of you.”

“I don’t know if what I did was ‘cozying up’,” Yan Qingsi replied tonelessly, “but all I know is that no one will bat an eyelash even if you strip down and cozy up to someone.

“If I remember correctly, who was the one who was tightly embracing a married man just last week? Before you think of criticizing the kettle, make sure you aren’t black yourself.”

Yan Qingsi’s did not spare a shred of pity in her retort. It made Zeng Keren red in the face. “That was my friend. Do you think I’m as filthy as you are?”

“I am filthy, I admit. But at least I’m not like you, so jealous till you look like a clown. Zeng Keren, go take a long, hard look at yourself in the mirror. See how ugly you truly are.”

Yan Qingsi now had no interest in arguing with such a useless gnat. She saw Yue Tingfeng coming over and took his arm. “Let’s go. I just ran into a madwoman.”

“Yan Qingsi, don’t you get too arrogant…” Zeng Keren snarled.

“Whether my girlfriend is arrogant or not, I don’t think she has anything to do with you.” Yue Tingfeng said sarcastically, “If you have time to be here and go around snapping like a mad dog, why don’t you think of ways to make Qin Jingzhi look at you? Nobody cares even if you want to cozy up.”
