Ferocious Boss: Hubby, Let’s Get Married

Chapter 585: I Cannot Let Anyone Bully My Yan Qingsi

Yan Qingsi nudged Yue Tingfeng with her elbow. “Who wants to have a child. My dream is to get the best actress award, and that hasn’t come to pass.”

“Having a child doesn’t interfere with your dreams of obtaining the best actress award.”

“How does it not interfere? A pregnancy lasts for 10 months. After having the child and coming back to work, who would still remember Yan Qingsi?”

“Don’t you have me? You’re holding on to my thigh, if you wish to be famous it will be a matter of minutes.”

While both of them talked, they bumped into Ji Mianmian who was walking over from the opposite side.

Ji Mianmian immediately rushed over the moment she saw Yan Qingsi. “Sis, you guys are back! Did you see the reporters outside?”

Yan Qingsi nodded. “Yeah, we did. It’s okay… I think they’ll leave after a while.”

Ji Mianmian sighed. “That’s good then, there are too many reporters outside. Xiao Xu and I didn’t dare to go out the main door.”

Yue Tingfeng opened the room door. “Come in first.”

…

On the other hand, Mrs. Yue laid in bed in the hospital. Without Yue Tingfeng to watch over her, she finally picked up her cellphone and opened Weibo. She saw the news that Yan Qingsi had hit someone, and the photos of Zeng Yingying being sunburnt.

Mrs. Yue’s face changed immediately when she read the news. She knew the kind of person Yan Qingsi was, and if nobody provoked her, she wouldn’t hurt them.

Yan Qingsi looked like a very strong-willed person. A very nasty person, but she wasn’t the kind of person to hurt someone on her own accord.

Mrs. Yue’s chest ached in anger at the netizens who were hurling abuse at Yan Qingsi.

She scrolled to another post and saw that Zeng Yingying had made a police report.

Mrs. Yue pulled up her sleeves and cursed in the dialect of Su City. ” Report to the police, report to the police, you think the people of my family are herbivores?”

Mrs. Yue immediately made a phone call to Su Zhen.

Su Zhen at the time was in a meeting, but when he saw that the call was from Mrs. Yue, he did not dare to reject the call. He picked up the phone. “Hello, aunty. What’s the matter?”

“Of course something’s the matter.” Mrs. Yue said.

Su Zhen assumed that it was a big issue, and stood up immediately. “Tell me what’s going on? What can I do for you?”

“It’s that thing on Weibo, an actress said my daughter-in-law assaulted her and wants to make a police report…”

Mrs. Yue spoke very slowly, making her words very clear.

After listening to that, Su Zhen massaged his forehead. “Aunty, this… this…”

Mrs. Yue grew suspicious as she heard Su Zhen’s reply. “This what? She made a police report, so now you can’t look into it?”

“That’s not it… if it’s as you say, the pictures and videos would be solid evidence, we can’t just ignore it.”

Su Zhen had a headache after hearing Mrs. Yue’s words. He got the gist of it. Yan Qingsi hitting someone from the cast had made its way to the internet, and she was under attack from the netizens.

Su Zhen thought of Yan Qingsi’s mean streak and believed that she most certainly was the kind of woman to do something like that.

This woman certainly was a troublemaker.

But with a case like this, with the facts clear, and the evidence there, he could not take action.

Mrs. Yue banged the table angrily. “So what if there’s evidence? You should go and investigate thoroughly, why did she hit her. My daughter-in-law would not hit anyone without reason. She definitely must have mistreated my Yan Qingsi.”

Su Zhen breathed in silently, ‘who would be able to mistreat your Yan Qingsi?’

“Aunty, don’t worry. This is a matter for the district dispatch center plus it’s a small matter. At worst there’ll be a fine and compensation, there won’t be any stiffer punishments.”

Mrs. Yue immediately replied, “Compensation is also unacceptable. My daughter is only a small-time actress. She doesn’t have that much money. I don’t care, you need to help me, if you don’t, I’ll go look for your dad.”
