Re-Awakened :I Ascend as an SSS-Ranked Dragon Summoner

Noah barely had time to breathe before the situation turned from bad to worse.

The ones he had taken down were getting up.

Not just groaning and stumbling—no, they were recovering.

Because they weren’t normal humans.

Noah had known that, logically. Everyone here had powers. Humanity had evolved past simple flesh and bone, and these guys were proof of that.

But he was experiencing it in the worst way possible.

His fists clenched.

All seven of them, minus their leader, were ready to go all out now.

The one who had cratered the pavement was already flexing his ability—molding the broken rock into thick, jagged boxing gloves around his fists.

’That’s going to hurt.’

He needed to take at least two of them down before things spiraled completely out of control.

Noah shifted his stance, keeping his breathing steady. His HP still sat at [300/320], the previous explosion injury already fading as his body worked overtime to heal it.

That wouldn’t last if they all piled on him.

The first one to move was the one with the stone gloves.

He charged in, heavy feet thudding against the ground, his entire body a wrecking ball of momentum.

Noah didn’t wait.

He sidestepped just as a massive stone-coated fist whooshed past his head. The force behind it was enough to stir the air, and Noah didn’t want to imagine what it would do to his ribs.

He struck back immediately.

A sharp jab to the exposed side of his opponent’s throat. A stagger. A brutal kick to the side of the knee.

The rock-gloved guy grunted, faltering, but before Noah could press the advantage, another one was on him.

A fist came flying from the right.

Noah twisted—barely dodging it—before snapping his leg up in a lightning-fast counter-kick to the attacker’s ribs.

A sharp crack.

HP: [295/320]

A burning sting exploded across his left shoulder.

’Shit.’ Your next chapter awaits on freewebnovel

The rock-gloved guy had swung back, catching him on the rebound.

The pain wasn’t overwhelming, but it was enough to make his muscles tighten.

No time to think.

He forced himself forward, ignoring the ache, and drove a brutal knee into the gut of the guy he had just kicked.

A gasp—

Then Noah grabbed him by the back of the head and slammed him face-first into the pavement.

One down.

But the numbers game was catching up.

Another one rushed in—this one faster, closing the distance before Noah could react.

A palm strike hit him square in the chest.

HP: [280/320]

Then another slammed into his ribs.

HP: [270/320]

He gritted his teeth, forcing himself to move. His arms shot up, catching the next blow on his forearm. The impact rattled his bones, but he twisted with it—rolling his shoulder and driving his elbow into his attacker’s jaw.

A stumble.

Noah grabbed the masked goon by the collar, pivoting, and threw him straight into another incoming fighter.

The two crashed together.

But before he could capitalize—

Pain exploded across his back.

HP: [255/320]

A brutal kick had landed between his shoulder blades, sending him staggering forward.

Before he could recover, another blow struck—

A fist to his side.

HP: [240/320]

His vision blurred for a second.

Then another hit—

HP: [220/320]

Noah clenched his jaw.

Even as he was getting hit, he was still throwing punches, still lashing out with knees and elbows, still making them pay for every second they pressed him.

But there were too many.

His muscles screamed, his body moving on instinct as he blocked, dodged, and struck back.

And yet—

They were finally landing more hits than he was.

One caught his ribs.

HP: [200/320]

Another slammed into his gut.

HP: [180/320]

A sharp kick to his thigh.

HP: [170/320]

Then—three of them surrounded him.

Noah’s breathing was ragged.

His entire body felt like it was on fire.

He had lasted longer than he should have. Taken down more than they expected.

But he was reaching his limit.

The three remaining fighters stood in a triangle formation, boxing him in.

Noah forced himself to stand straighter, rolling his shoulders despite the pain.

The masked leader took a step forward.

”You had your chance to come quietly.”

Noah wiped a trickle of blood from his lip.

”Yeah?” he exhaled. ”And you had your chance to leave with all your bones intact. Guess we both made bad calls.”

The leader sighed.

”Finish him.”

They moved.

Fast.

Noah’s system flickered in his vision, lines of data scrolling—analyzing attack patterns, movement speeds, weaknesses.

[Warning: Multiple threats detected. Analyzing evasive measures…]

His body tensed.

[Calculating counter-strategies…]

His eyes locked onto the nearest fighter.

[Projected weakness: Lower guard during right jab.]

He adjusted his stance, preparing to exploit it.

[Recommendation: Sweep left leg, follow with—]

Then—

Everything stopped.

Literally.

The air around him seemed to freeze.

The three fighters lunging at him were suddenly suspended mid-motion, their bodies locked in place.

Even the dust in the air had stopped moving.

Something was wrong. Leaves hung midair, caught in a breeze that no longer moved. Petals from the school garden floated, frozen in place like an artist had painted them onto the air itself.

They weren’t moving.

Nothing was.

Everything was suspended in time.

By who?

Noah already knew the answer.

A slow, almost reluctant smile crept onto his face. He hated to admit it, but seeing her right now—seeing the deranged, absolutely unhinged Blonde walking his way right now—made something in his chest loosen.

Like he could actually breathe again.

And that was dangerous.

Because Lila wasn’t just anyone.

She was a girl with a soft spot for him that was anything but soft. Psychopathic levels of affection, the kind that would leave more than one poor bastard regretting ever looking in her direction.

His classmates didn’t know but he’d advice that they fear her. His team for expeditions? He knew tolerated her. And Noah?

Noah wasn’t sure what the hell he felt about her. Sometimes annoyance. Other times he was on the fence about her.

But right now?

Right now, he had to fight the very stupid, very reckless urge to drop to one knee and propose.

Kelvin would never let him live it down.

Lila skipped into the frozen scene like she was stepping onto a stage meant just for her.

”Hey boys,” she greeted, her sing-song voice cutting through the eerie silence. She winked at Noah, placing a hand on her hip as she surveyed the mess before her. ”So... what the hell is happening here? I was just out for a stroll and saw this.”

Noah let out a slow breath. Liar.

He knew damn well Lila hadn’t just happened to be here. But now wasn’t the time to question it.

He just wanted to leave.

He’d made his point. These Year 3s would crawl back to Albright with a very clear message—Noah Eclipse wasn’t to be messed with. And while it was out of character for him to let emotions make him do irrational things like fighting against eight year 3s, he’d needed to let out some of that frustration.

But the real problem wasn’t them anymore.

It was her.

Because Lila was closing the space between them, her soft fingers reaching up to touch his face.

Noah barely flinched—he knew better than to make any sudden moves around her.

Her eyes traced the blood trickling from his nose, his forehead. And then, in a voice so quiet, so sweet, it sent something cold running down his spine, she cooed,

”Did they do this to you?”

Her tone was gentle. Almost... affectionate. Like a mother doting over a hurt child.

But something in her eyes shifted as she looked back up at him.

Something dark.

Something hungry.

Kelvin sat in homeroom, his foot tapping against the tile floor as he checked his watch for what felt like the hundredth time.

Twenty minutes.

Noah still wasn’t back.

And that didn’t sit right with him.

What if Albright’s boys had taken him? What if they’d done worse?

Kelvin clenched his fists. If something had happened, then he’d be the coward who let it happen.

Just like Cannadah.

Noah had told him to run then, and he had. And after that, he’d promised himself—never again.

Even if it went against every logical thought in his head.

Kelvin pushed up from his seat, rounding the corridor as he made his way toward the exit.

And that’s when he ran into her.

Vee.

The hacker who had started this whole mess.

She looked up at him with mild surprise, like she hadn’t expected to see him there. But Kelvin wasn’t fooled. This was the Year 1 homeroom block. Specifically Class 1B.

What the hell was she doing here?

His gaze swept over her, taking in the eerily calm expression she wore.

She wasn’t lost.

She was exactly where she was supposed to be.

Kelvin narrowed his eyes. ”What do you want?”

Vee gave a small, knowing smile. ”The file.”

Kelvin folded his arms. ”You think I’d just leave it on Raven’s tablet after our little cyber slugfest? I’m not that dumb.”

”I know.” Her eyes gleamed as she took a step closer. ”That’s why I came to reason with you.”

Kelvin smirked. ”Yeah, okay. First of all, no. Not happening. Second, you’re in my way. Move.”

Her smirk deepened, something sharp and dangerous flashing in her eyes.

”Actually,” she said, her voice dropping into something silkier, darker, as her irises pulsed into a luminous violet glow.

”You’re in my way.”

Kelvin’s pulse kicked up.

His own eyes flared green.
