Child of Destiny

Seven was really gotten by surprise when he saw the lineup of the players sitting around the roundtable. ’What’s with this lineup players? This team was more that enough to trample the main army of the majority of Powerhouse Guild.’

Then he named the most noticeable and reparable players present, in his mind. ’Winter Demon: Ravier, Flame Witch: Ember, God Slayer: Tora, Death God: Yami, War God: Simba, and Gentle Goddess: Arielle. D*mn! These guys are real deal. I wonder what kind of quest are they going to tackle with these people.’

Then he couldn’t help but took a renewed look at Shin. It was because base on his exchange with the latter earlier, this guy had some authority over this team. ’And who the heck is this guy to gather these guys in one place?’

After that brief moment of silence, Simba was the one that opened his mouth first and said. ”Since you are here, that means your boss in also present, right?”

And that was the time when Seven recovered himself and said. ”Yes, Sir! Boss is currently hunting-…”

And before Seven managed to complete what he wanted to say, Simba immediately asked another question. ”Immortal. Yes. Did he succeed?”

Seven suddenly shook his head and said. ”Unfortunately, not, Sir. Hoawin appeared when Boss is about to catch up with him. And obviously, the two of them break into a fight instead, making for Immortal to escape.”

Simba nodded his head as he indicated that he understood. Then it was Cloe’s turn to ask a question. ”Is your boss going to participate on this quest?”

Seven was stunned at first before nodding his head and said. ”Yes, he seems to be going to participate on it.”

Then Simba and Cloe looked at each other before nodding their heads. After that the both of them stood up, and Cloe said at the same time. ”Then this meeting is already over.”

Simba, on the other hand, said to Seven. ”We are going to add you the party. We are going to send you the coordinates of the meeting place later. Just go there with your boss.”

Lawless, Faker, and the others also started standing up one by one.

Meanwhile, Shin was stunned at that sight. He wanted to say something but he couldn’t find the words to voice them out. He just opened and close his mouth while the others brushed past him one by one.

At the same time, Seven understood that the meeting was already over. That was why he also bid his farewell to go with the others so that he could fetch his boss. Even though the he didn’t know the details about the quest the they were going to do, he was still confident that there would be no problem with it.

After all, they have three of the best players that they could have in the team. What’s more, two of them were the strongest attacks while the other was the best support that they could ask for.

And while everyone when at leaving, Simba patted Shin’s left shoulder before saying. ”Alright, you should go check your final preparations before we get moving.”

Shin was finally snapped out from his daze with that. Then he looked at Simba and said. ”But I am already done with my preparations.”

And the moment those words left Shin’s mouth, Cloe suddenly hopped beside Shin and clung on his right arm while saying. ”Then go out with me! I haven’t done my preparations yet. Let’s go into a shopping.”

The corner of Shin’s mouth suddenly twitched and said. ”Where do you think is this? A mall in the Real World for you to go in a shopping?”

”Who cares? Let’s go! Let me buy some potions and other things that I need,” said Cloe while dragging his Shin towards the exit by pulling his right arm.

”Alright, alright. I’ll go with you. You don’t have to drag me,” said Shin while having a helpless sigh. He didn’t mind Cloe’s behavior since he was already used to it.

At the same time, Simba also released a helpless sigh when he heard that. But that was for Shin being too clueless to read between the lines. ’He is so smart at reading the hidden meanings of the opposing side when making a deal, but he so dumb to see the obvious on this kind of things.’

Then he followed after the two. And when he did that, he suddenly heard Cloe’s voice saying. ”Are you going to become a third wheel on our date again, Leo?”

And since Shin thought that she was only a joking, he suddenly said to her. ”Let him tag along. I also need to consult him about few things.”

Simba facepalmed when he heard that while saying on himself. ”This guy is really hopeless.”

Cloe, on the other hand, was smiling from ear to ear when she heard that. And from the looked of it, she seemed to even enjoying Shin being this dense.

At the same time, the was the group of players waiting on the forest not far from the Holy City.

”As expected, there is also a 1-day preparation time for this event. Meaning, we have more than enough time to finish our quest before the registration period comes to an end,” said Simba.

Shin clicked his tongue when he heard that. ”Tch! So that was why you are confident that we are going to make it in time even if we are in the quest.”

After that, he immediately changed the topic. ”What about the other two that we are waiting? Are they still not around?”

”You don’t have to worry about that. That guy is just a type of guy that have a habit of getting late even if you give have a lot of time to prepare,” said by Simba while leaning on a tree.

Then a gust of wind suddenly blew form a certain direction. And naturally, Simba had felt the unusualness of that wind and looked that the direction where it was coming from while saying. ”Speaking of the Devil. And as usual, this guy also wants to showoff every time he appears.”

”Huh?” Then Shin and the others also turned their heads at that direction, before Shin said to Simba. ”That sounds like Arthur.”

Then Simba suddenly started chuckling and said. ”Hehe… Brother Arthur? Ha! That guy is more that showing off every time he appeared on a scene. What he wants is a grand entrance, nothing less.”

And that was when the pair of hooded guys arrived in front of the group. And obviously, they were Seven and his boss.

”Still likes to be late as always, huh?” greeted Simba to the guy with ash-grey cloak.

The hooded guy threw a brief look at Simba before saying. ”War God: Simba. I wanted to exchange blows with you, but there are a lot of things that are currently taking place, so let’s have a spar next time. Or we can also do it after we are done with all of the things on this side.”

Simba suddenly smirked at him and said. ”Heh! Still a battle maniac as ever, huh? But I will not refuse such a good offer.”

And that was also the time when Shin received a message from Cloe. Then he looked at the others and said. ”Cloe said that we can now equip the special items that she gave to use and do the teleportation.” while handing out a pair of stones to Seven and the hooded guy.

Then he immediately summoned Hanzo for the elemental spirit to create a void gate connected to the coordinates that Cloe had sent. ”Let’s save the greetings for the latter. Let’s start working for now.”
