Reborn As Noble

Mimi arrived with a huge bucket of fried chicken, roast meat, and several jam buns, walking slowly while eating in delight. Her tail swayed happily as she munched on a huge drumstick, her cheeks puffed with food.

Felicia let out a long, weary exhale before pinching the bridge of her nose. ”Mimi...”

”Nya? Yes, Onee-sama?”

Felicia stood up, crossing one arm under her breasts before pointing at Mimi, her tone firm. ”Mimi, you should not walk while eating. It’s not proper. At least take a seat and eat properly. And where have you been? You didn’t appear at the dining room for lunch.”

”Ehehe~” Mimi scratched the back of her head, wiping her greasy hand on her shorts before grinning sheepishly, averting her eyes from her sister. ”I was too focused on playing with the block bricks and the swings, nya~”

Felicia exhaled again, shaking her head softly. ”That playground is for Macia and Vivica. You’re a grown woman now, and a princess of the Beastkin Nation. You can’t keep spending all your time playing like a child.”

”Mou!” Mimi puffed her cheeks before taking a seat nearby. ”I was accompanying both of them, nya! They came to me early and asked if I wanted to join them, so I didn’t have a choice, nya!”

Felicia exhaled again, mumbling under her breath. ”Always coming up with excuses...” She shot a glare at Mimi. ”Now sit properly and eat your food. And don’t talk with food in your mouth.”

”Okay, nya~” Mimi pulled one of the large drumsticks from the bucket and extended it toward Felicia, her eyes sparkling. ”Want some?”

Felicia let out a long, weary exhale, shaking her head. ”No. We’re going to train after this. Eating too much before training isn’t a good idea.”

”Why~?” Mimi started eating the drumstick right in front of her sister, munching loudly, her tail swaying with playful mischief.

”Ugh! Just focus on your food and stop asking questions you already know the answer to!” Felicia’s glare sharpened.

”Okay, nya~” Mimi grinned, continuing to enjoy her food while Liana and Gloria watched the sisters bicker with quiet amusement. Delya smiled dreamily as she nibbled on a piece of chocolate.

”Now... where is that little sister of mine~? Hmm~?” Liana’s gaze drifted toward the manor. ”She was the one so eager to ’prove’ herself yesterday, claiming she could handle anything I threw at her. And yet, here we are, waiting. It seems she wants another ’punishment’ from me~”

Just as Liana finished her last word, she noticed Lyzia and Celine emerging from the grand manor door, chatting excitedly with each other. Liana’s smile remained serene as she gracefully rose to her feet, clasping both hands in front of her maid dress, the pristine white apron accentuating her graceful figure.

Lyzia and Celine approached, Lyzia still giggling about something, clearly unconcerned about the time, before she noticed her sister and gave a casual, cheerful wave.

”Afternoon, Sister! Sorry for keeping you waiting~”

Liana moved with fluid grace, stopping directly in front of Lyzia. She smiled sweetly, glancing down at her younger sister before her eyes turned terrifyingly sharp. In an instant, her hand shot out and gripped Lyzia’s ear firmly.

”Eeeeppp!!! Sister!!! It hurts!!”

”Arara~ Really? Hmm?” Liana kept pulling Lyzia’s ear, her smile turning cold and dangerous. ”How dare you keep us waiting for nearly...” She reached for her emerald pocket watch, a beautifully crafted piece designed especially for her, and glanced at the time before snapping it shut. ”...an hour!? Hmm!!!!?”

Her smile vanished completely, replaced by a sharp, chilling glare.

”Ahhhh! I’m sorry, Big Sister!!!”

Lyzia’s hand fluttered near her ear, not daring to touch Liana’s fingers. She spoke in a nervous, high-pitched tone, her voice squeaking every time Liana’s grip tightened.

”I... I was accompanying Celine! Brother-in-law’s mother called for her!”

”Ara? Really?” Liana’s terrifying glare shifted to Celine, who swallowed hard and nodded silently, her voice a soft, shaky whisper. ”Y... yes.”

”Oh~? And here I thought this troublemaker was just causing trouble as usual~” Liana kept her glare fixed on Lyzia, who was still wincing and averting her gaze. ”So? Why did Lady Mother call for you, Celine~?”

Celine fidgeted nervously, her hands clasped tightly together. She swallowed again before speaking, her voice barely above a murmur.

”Lady Mother called me for a simple conversation... she asked how I was feeling, how I was adjusting to Armand, and whether I needed anything. Then she said that since I will be becoming her youngest son’s wife, I should address her as Lady Mother as well, just like Big Sis and the others.”

Liana’s glare shifted back to Lyzia, her voice sharp and cold. ”If Celine was called by Lady Mother, you should have come here immediately instead of waiting for her. You knew we were waiting for you.”

Lyzia pursed her lips, mumbling under her breath. ”But Celine doesn’t know her way around the estate yet... I had to make sure she didn’t get lost...”

Liana’s smile turned sweet and dangerous as she pulled Lyzia’s ear again, hissing softly. ”You’re also new here. I bet you asked the maids for directions, didn’t you? Or did you wander around like a lost kitten, and ’accidentally’ stopping by the refreshment area on the way? I can smell chocolate mint on your breath, and I can see the crumbs on your lips.”

”Eeepp!!! I... I’m sorry, Big Sister! I’m sorry!!!!”

Gloria just smiled and shook her head, mumbling softly to herself. ”First Felicia and Mimi, now Liana and Lyzia...” She turned toward the special door leading to the underground training facility, took out a unique crystal key, and touched it to a glowing panel on the wall.

The door emitted a soft hum before sliding open with a quiet hiss. Gloria turned her gaze toward Liana, a gentle smile on her lips.

”Liana?”

”Hmm?” Liana glanced over her shoulder, her terrifying glare still sharp.

Gloria nudged her glasses up. ”The door is already open. And since we’ll be busy for the evening, we should start the training soon.”

Liana released Lyzia’s ear, her expression shifting back to a serene smile as she turned gracefully and walked toward the entrance. She paused at the doorway, glancing over her shoulder.

”What are you two waiting for? Let’s go.”
