Reborn As Noble

After leaving the Goddess Hall.

Garreth walked alone, his footsteps echoing softly against the polished marble floor. The air was still, and the only sound was the quiet rustle of his royal robes.

Soon...

I will finally taste what I have dreamed of for so long. To have her, to feel her beneath me, to claim her... the Supreme Goddess herself.

He let out a slow breath, his mind drifting.

I wonder... how will she feel? How will she taste? Will she be as divine as she appears, or will she be something else entirely? Something raw, something real beneath that divine façade?

He shook his head slightly, a faint smirk playing on his lips.

I must not get ahead of myself. First, I must relay the command to the special unit. Send them to the other continent, hunt down this Jaigar, and retrieve the stolen weapon. After that, I will return to her... and bury myself deep inside her until she screams my name.

Garreth straightened his posture, his expression shifting back to one of regal authority as he continued down the hallway. The Royal Guards stationed along the walls stood at attention, their eyes fixed forward as their king passed.

He noticed a figure walking at a distance.

Hmm... here comes the so-called Supreme Leader among my Goddess’s summoned heroes.

That brat, Julius.

I wonder what he’s doing here? Perhaps he was summoned by the Supreme Goddess herself?

Whatever.

As long as he doesn’t get in my way, doesn’t cross my path, and remembers his place before a king, I have no reason to concern myself with him. I am the one who approved the summoning ritual, the one who allowed these outsiders to set foot on my continent. Without my authority, they would be nothing.

Just because the Supreme Goddess appointed him as leader doesn’t mean he holds any power over me. I am the King of Divinitas. My authority is absolute within these lands.

If he tries to disrespect me, to challenge my position, or to interfere with my plans... he will feel my wrath. No title granted by a goddess will protect him from the fury of a king.

”Your Majesty.”

Julius approached with a warm, gentle smile, his posture relaxed and respectful. His eyes held a kind, almost boyish charm, the kind of smile that disarmed those who looked upon him.

”Mm.” Garreth mumbled, nodding curtly as he clasped both hands behind his back. ”Were you summoned by the Supreme Goddess?”

”Yes, Your Majesty. She called for me.”

Garreth nodded again, his expression unreadable.

While they spoke, Julius kept smiling, his thoughts sharp and cold.

This bastard king.

I wonder what he’s doing here at this hour? It’s already night, and yet he’s wandering around alone. Heh~ Couldn’t sleep, I guess? Or perhaps this old man is up to something.

His smile never wavered as he studied Garreth’s posture, his stance, the way he carried himself.

I wonder how strong this shithead really is? He carries himself like a ruler, but I’ve never seen him fight. He doesn’t even carry a weapon. But something tells me he’s hiding something.

Should I try something? Test him? See what he’s really capable of?

But if I push too far, I could land myself in trouble. And Supreme Goddess wouldn’t like it if I caused a scene with Divinitas Ruler.

It’s been more than seven years since we were summoned to this world and started living in this nation.

But never once have I seen this guy walk with an escort. Unlike the kings of the other two nations, who are always surrounded by guards and retainers, this old man wanders alone, as if he has nothing to fear.

Hmm...

But my power is strong. None of the other heroes under me are even close to my level. Even during the sparring match years ago, the strongest Divinitas warrior and general couldn’t stand against me. It always ends within seconds.

He kept smiling, listening to Garreth talk about preparations and other matters, nodding along as if genuinely interested.

While he secretly activated his level three gravity skill, casually crossing his arms and rubbing his chin as if deep in thought.

This skill has always been enough to defeat any opponent, even high-level monsters. They would collapse, unable to move, their bodies pinned to the ground.

And yet... Garreth stood there, completely unaffected, as if the gravity was nothing more than a gentle breeze.

Garreth glanced around, a puzzled expression crossing his face. ”Hmm... is it going to rain tonight? Or perhaps I’m just hungry.”

He let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head before placing a hand on Julius’s shoulder.

”I think I’ll head back now. Good night, Julius. Rest well.”

He turned and walked away, his steps unhurried, his hands clasped behind his back.

Julius’s smile remained frozen on his face, but his eyes narrowed as he watched the king disappear into the shadows.

That old man... he didn’t even flinch.

Shit...

The skill I always use to crush any opponent... didn’t affect him at all.

Julius was stunned, his mind racing.

But... I shouldn’t worry about it. I have plenty of other skills, stronger ones. He’s just a king, not a hero. He must have some kind of resistance to magic. That’s all. He can’t stand against everything I have.

He turned and continued walking, slipping his hand into his pockets, while his smile still in place, but his mind was sharp with suspicion.

After leaving the area, Garreth let out a low, amused chuckle.

Haha~

That brat really thought he could intimidate me with that weak little gravity trick? Who does he think he is? A child who barely understands the weight of true power, yet acting like he’s the strongest in the world just because he was bless by a goddess.

He shook his head, a smirk curling on his lips.

But it’s a shame...

Why did he only test me with such a basic skill? Why not use the full power he flaunts during the yearly tournament? The same power that pins all his opponents to the ground before they can even blink.

If only I could have seen more of his so-called divine power...

He let out a soft, dismissive chuckle.

But it doesn’t matter. All his special skills, his summoned divine warriors, his flashy techniques... they mean nothing to me. I already know every trick he has. Seven years of watching, observing, learning. I’ve already prepared counters for everything he can throw at me.

Garreth’s grin turned dark, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

Well... no time to waste on that brat.

Tonight, I’m going to feast on my reward. I’m going to bury myself inside the Supreme Goddess herself and claim what I’ve been promised.
