Reborn As Noble

The Next Morning

Gloria was the first to stir.

”Mmm...?” she blinked softly, her lashes fluttering as she lifted her head from the pillow. A faint stretch rippled through her body, her arms rising above her head as she let out a quiet, elegant yawn.

She sat up, brushing a few strands of hair behind her ear.

”Hm? Where’s Liana...?”

The spot beside her was empty. The sheets untouched, cool to the touch.

She tilted her head slightly, smiling. ”Bathroom, perhaps...”

Her eyes swept over the rest of the room. The other girls were still fast asleep, the sound of their breathing quiet and steady. Mimi curled up like a cat, Felicia mumbling something about carrots in her dreams, and Delya clinging to the blanket like it was a life preserver.

She listened for the faint sound of water running, nothing. Gloria pushed back the covers, slipped out of bed, and padded softly across the room.

She checked the small bathroom...empty.

No... I don’t think she’s here.

A knowing suspicion flickered in Gloria’s eyes. She bit her lip, hiding a tiny, wry smile, and moved quietly toward the door. The morning air was crisp and cool as she made her way across the grass to the next shelter.

She stopped at the neighboring shelter. Knocked, just once, soft and deliberate.

”...Young Master?”

Silence.

She knocked again, a little firmer. ”Young Master~?”

Still no reply.

Her hand found the door handle.

It was not locked.

She opened it quietly and stepped inside.

Her eyes swept over the room, catching the small pile of clothes scattered on the floor. On the bed, Liana was curled up tightly, her head resting peacefully on Javier’s bare chest, his arms wrapped loosely around her.

A slow, knowing smile spread across Gloria’s face.

So... Liana finally made her move~

She watched them for a long moment, the glow in her eyes gentle but sparkling with mischief. In the silence, she pressed a finger to her lips, her smirk deepening.

”That means... Young Master is already a man now,” she whispered to herself, soft with a hint of amusement.

She turned away, her steps light and her heart oddly content.

And that means... my turn is next~

A Few Hours Later

The scent of sizzling meat filled the air.

Liana and Gloria stood side by side outside the shelters, grilling thick slabs of marinated meat over a portable magic griller. The rich aroma of spices and fat danced on the breeze, making even the half-awake Pekko birds perk up nearby.

Liana stood at the grill, tongs in hand, her face calm and focused.

Gloria, however, wore a very different expression, soft amusement tinged with playful suspicion.

She turned a skewer with gentle precision, then glanced sideways at her fellow maid.

A quiet moment passed.

Then Gloria’s thoughts returned to earlier that morning.

Just a few hours ago...

She had just returned from Javier’s shelter after witnessing a certain scandalous scene. Not long after, she heard footsteps outside their shared room.

The door opened. Liana walked in.

Still wearing the same dress from last night.

”Ara~ good morning, Liana~ Coming from the bathroom next door~?”

Liana didn’t answer. She simply sighed... and walked straight into the actual bathroom.

Gloria had stifled a giggle behind her hand.

Now, watching Liana act as if nothing had happened, Gloria’s smirk widened.

My~ someone snuck out last night. How clever~

Liana, still playing innocent, smiled softly and flipped another slice.

But Gloria could see through it all.

Ara~ she’s still pretending like they only ”slept” together~ But I saw those clothes... that poor little dress on the floor~ Tehe~

With graceful movements, Gloria stepped a bit closer, leaned in, and whispered with honeyed mischief.

”Looks like someone made our Young Master into a real man last night~”

”W–Wha?” Liana flinched, nearly dropping the tongs. ”I... I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Gloria leaned even closer, her voice barely above a breath, eyes sparkling.

”My~ still pretending, I see. First wife~?”

Liana turned away quickly, her cheeks burning pink. ”I don’t know what you’re talking about, Gloria.”

Gloria giggled softly, tilting her head. ”Ara~ I saw how you walked back, dear. Should I ask again? Or perhaps I should tell the others instead~?”

Liana’s head whipped around, eyes wide. ”W–What? No! Don’t you dare!”

She hissed her protest, panicked, but Gloria only smiled sweetly, flipping a piece of meat as if nothing had happened.

Liana smiled softly, stabbing at the grilled meat with the tongs.

Gloria caught the subtle trembling, her lips curving into a knowing smirk as she leaned in, her voice low and teasing. ”So... did Young Master finally decide to stop making us wait~?”

Liana kept her eyes on the meat, but nodded, just once. ”Mm~”

”My~ you finally lost your virginity~” Gloria’s tone was playful, sing-song, but her eyes were warm with genuine happiness.

Liana’s cheeks turned a deep shade of pink. She bit her lower lip, hiding her shy smile as she poked at the meat again.

Gloria, not missing a beat, covered her mouth with her palm, her smile elegant and mischievous. ”Ara~ that means my turn is next, First Wife~”

Liana glanced at her. ”Mm~ our ’husband’ finally decided to stop holding back. Now that the deal is sealed, it’s up to you, Second Wife~”

Gloria’s eyes glinted with anticipation, her smile widening as she turned back to the grill.

But then Liana carefully picked up a slice of meat and placed it on the plate, her voice dropping to a sly whisper. ”Remember our training during maid lessons long ago?”

Gloria tilted her head, puzzled. ”Hmm? Which one?”

Liana leaned close, her expression sly. ”Even in pain, try to walk normal.”

Gloria blinked, her cheeks coloring as she realized what Liana meant. ”E...ehhh!? Why?”

Liana didn’t answer. Liana just lifted her wrist, showing it off for a split second before leaning in, her whisper pure mischief. ”Let’s just say... it’s this big.”

Gloria nearly dropped the spatula, her face flushing crimson as she stared in disbelief.

Liana only giggled, setting the plate aside, her posture graceful.

Gloria’s eyes widened in disbelief, her voice dropping to a whisper as she leaned closer to Liana. ”Fo...for real?”

Liana just nodded, her smile soft but tinged with mischief.

Gloria gave her a skeptical look. ”There’s no way~ You’re just trying to scare me...”

Liana leaned in again, her voice a hush barely above the crackle of the grill. ”Try your best not to scream~” She glanced sideways, watching as Felicia, Mimi, and Delya began stepping out from their shelter, stretching and chatting quietly.

”Wh-why?” Gloria stammered, glancing nervously toward the others.

Liana kept her gaze forward, voice even softer. ”The moment it goes in, it feels like tearing~ Just bite your lower lip and hold on... You don’t want to ruin that moment, especially if you catch his face when it happens...”

Gloria flushed scarlet, her heart thumping in her chest as she imagined it, part nerves, part anticipation, and a lot of embarrassment.

Before Gloria could reply, Liana turned away with a sly, innocent smile, calmly arranging the meat on the platter.
