Reborn As Noble

Then he turned to the generals and the commander of the Halfling army.

“Focus on the last stronghold,” Gurdan ordered, his voice cold and unwavering. “Ignore Gilikan Town for now.”

The officers exchanged uncertain glances.

“But, Your Majesty—”

“Just send ten thousand troops,” Gurdan cut them off sharply. “Position them near Gilikan’s outer routes. Their job is simple—prevent any forces from that town from moving toward the stronghold.”

He leaned forward on his throne, eyes burning with determination.

“We don’t need to take Gilikan. We just need to contain it. Whatever army that is… they won’t interfere with us.”

No one dared speak again. No one questioned his command, because the king’s piercing gaze made it clear:

This wasn’t a discussion.

It was war. And the only goal now was clear.

Gurdan smirked, and inside his mind, the voice howled with anticipation.

After I devour Gumarak…

He could already feel it—the surge, the madness, the overwhelming power that would come once he claimed the Celestial’s core.

The act wouldn’t be gentle. It wouldn’t be divine. It would be raw.

Smoke. Flesh. Soul. All torn apart in a single, violent surge.

Once he had it, he knew he wouldn’t be the same.

He clenched his jaw, eyes narrowing with venom.

After that…I will come for you, Edmund.

The so-called Human King.

They both wanted the same thing, power.

They both raced for it.

But Gurdan would reach it first.

Stronger.

He could already feel it, the pulsing hunger at the edge of his thoughts.

The taste of victory.

And a craving for more.

Gurdan’s smirk deepened, curling into something darker.

Once I get you, Edmund… I’ll devour you slowly.

Not like Gumarak.

Not in a single breath.

No.

You—I’ll savor.

Bit by bit.

Piece by piece.

His shoulders trembled slightly with anticipation.

The thought of bringing the once-proud Human King low, turning him into a trembling vessel of stolen divinity, thrilled him.

He saw only the future.

And in that future…

He stood alone.

Victorious.

Laughing.

“Hahahahaha…!”

His savage laughter echoed through the stone chamber, sending a shiver down the spines of every general and officer present, sealing their silent resolve to claim that dark victory.

Inside Gurdan’s mind, the Celestial’s voice coilled around his thoughts.

“Yes~ that’s more like it, Gurdan…” it whispered, delving into the depths of his madness. “Once you devour the third Celestial… once you rip Gumarak from his shell, your power will evolve. You’ll feel it. You’ll taste it.”

The voice hissed with insatiable hunger.

“You already have two!”

Gurdan’s eyes twitched, the hunger gnawing at him, closer than ever, a beast beneath his skin.

“And after the third… you’ll be ready.”

“Ready to face Edmund.”

“Ready to devour him.”

The voice chuckled darkly, manic and relentless.

“After that, we find the others. You already know, Gurdan—once you reach six… six Celestials…”

A pause.

A surge of thrill coursed through his spine.

“You will become unkillable.”

“Your wounds? Gone.”

“Your flesh? Regenerated.”

“Magic? Overflowing.”

“Strength? Unmatched.”

“You’ll be unstoppable!”

Gurdan’s breath grew ragged. His body trembled with anticipation.

“And then…”

“The seventh.”

The voice lowered into a whisper, reverent and obsessive.

“The last Celestial… the one no one has found…”

“Immortality, Gurdan.”

“Live forever. Rule forever. Stay young… forever.”

“Immortal…”

Gurdan’s lips curled into a feral smile.

Yes.

He would take them all.

And no one! Not Edmund, not the dwarves, not even time itself, would stop him.

“After that… we will devour Garius!”

A shock ran through Gurdan’s body.

“Yes! That Garius! The one who once sealed me—embarrassed me! The one strong enough to seal six of us!”

The Celestial’s tone turned wild and fierce.

“Once you devour him, Gurdan… you won’t just beat him, you’ll become more than a legend. You’ll take his strength. His old magic. His hidden secrets.”

“You’ll also take the power of his sons…”

“The strength of his helpers…”

“Even the loyalty of his people, taken and absorbed by you.”

Gurdan’s eyes grew wide, his breathing faster as madness took hold.

“The Armand family’s power? Turned to dust in your lungs.”

And then…

The voice grew more excited and mad.

“The Beastkin King!”

“The Queen of the Elves!”

“The Demon Lord!”

One after another, they would all fall.

“Soon it will be you… devouring them all,” the voice softly said.

It wrapped around Gurdan’s mind like a lover’s whisper.

“Your power…”

It gleamed.

“…without limit.”

“…invisible.”

“…unstoppable.”

Gurdan’s lips curled into a fierce smile, his eyes shining with dark promises of total destruction and ultimate power.

“So… I can do anything I want?” Gurdan smirked, his voice low, trembling with rising madness.

“Yes!!!” the Celestial howled in his mind.

“Anything! You’ll become the complete one, the strongest existence in the world!”

“No one can stand against you!”

“No army will resist you!”

“No magic, no blade, no time can stop you!.”

“You will rewrite the rules of this world!”

His fists clenched. His breath deepened.

Soon.

Very soon.

The world would bow.

Not to a king.

But to the one true ruler.

Soon… soon! I will get what I want.

Gurdan smirked, eyes gleaming with feverish hunger.

He raised his palm, and dark mana surged upward in a swirling torrent, crackling with raw hatred and corrupted power.

“Power… stronger… yes—this is what I want!”

The ground beneath him trembled slightly as his aura thickened, distorting the air.

His voice turned low. Cold. Certain.

“And when it happens… I won’t ever let anyone look down on me again.”

“Not Lioness…”

“Not Mylezra…”

“Not Veldrac…”

His teeth gritted, eyes burning with obsession.

“I will make them kneel before me.”

Meanwhile, that night—along the dark, rugged road…

Javier rode atop Buddy, his proud and ever-smug Pekko, charging through the shadow-drenched path like a storm.

The night air was thick with corrupted mana, dark miasma monsters slithering and crawling from every crevice of the land.

Javier’s grin widened.

His white ore mana gun gleamed under the moonlight.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Each shot burst with a flash of pure white mana.

And each time the bullet struck, the miasma beast let out a wail before disintegrating into harmless dust, purified, erased.

“Buddy!” Javier shouted, his laughter wild. “Let’s enjoy this!! Hahahahaha!!”

The Pekko let out a proud “Cuquawk!!” as it dashed even faster, dodging twisted tendrils of blackened mist.

The path ahead was nothing but darkness and howls.

But for Javier—this was fun.

His puppet knight army?

Safely tucked inside his dimensional storage—waiting for the real battle.

For now, it was just him.

His mount.

His white ore gun.

And the twisted remains of a world poisoned by Celestials.

“Come on! Is that all!?” he roared, spinning his gun in one hand.

“Bring more!”
