Reborn As Noble

Garius lept into the air, blades spinning in his hands like twin comets of green-white light.

”Hahahahaha!”

His sly grin widened as he landed right in the middle of the horde, at the very heart of the corrupted mass.

A dozen dark mana beasts shrieked and lunged all at once.

SLASH!

Limbs flew. Corruption scattered into smoky shreds. Blood hissed into steam.

Every beast that dared come near was cut down with a single strike, not even given a chance to roar.

”Come on! Is that all you’ve got?!”

He spun around, blades carving elegant arcs of destruction.

”Bring out the BIGGEST one!!”

His shout echoed across the contaminated field.

”GYAHAHAHAHA!!”

From the shadows, a twisted creature three times the size of a house lunged to slam him from above—only for Garius to leap straight into the air and carve its skull in half mid-flight, laughing all the while.

He landed lightly on its crumbling corpse.

Alf, back-to-back with Erinette, stood frozen for a moment.

”...My lord...”

”...is enjoying this way too much,” he muttered under his breath.

Erinette, usually unreadable, blinked twice.

”This is... not what I expected.”

Gloria, with her warhammer glowing brightly, stared in disbelief.

”Is this what young master Javier will become someday…?”

Liana, clutching her trembling bow, stared blankly.

”...He’s smiling. While covered in monster blood.”

Fransesca closed her eyes with a gentle smile.

”Let him be. He hasn’t had fun like this in years.”

Meanwhile, Garius dashed through the miasma again—cutting through five beasts with a casual spin, laughing louder than the monsters could scream.

Suddenly, twenty dark monsters—bulkier and more twisted than the rest—leapt from every side, surrounding Garius in an instant.

Their eyes burned crimson, claws extended, mouths stretched wide in silent screeches.

A wave of deadly intent poured toward him.

”My lord!!”

Alf shouted, already ready to leap in.

”Watch out!!”

Erinette’s voice cut sharply, her body tensing to intercept.

But Fransesca simply smiled, no worry. No panic. Just a comforting warmth in her eyes as she softly whispered..

”Poor creature.”

And then.

The twenty monsters vanished in an instant.

Not cut, not vaporized, not thrown aside.

They simply disintegrated into smoke, their forms fading before even touching him.

The space around Garius shimmered faintly with residual afterimages—thin strands of green mana lingering like threads in the air.

He stood motionless, one sword resting on his shoulder, the other loosely pointed at the ground.

He let out a long, lazy yawn.

”Too slow...”

He rolled his neck casually.

”Too weak.”

The battlefield fell into stunned silence for a heartbeat.

Even the distant monsters hesitated, their miasma rippling with unease.

Liana blinked in amazement.

”I didn’t even see him move…”

Gloria whispered,

”Was that... teleportation? No... it was something else.”

Erinette’s grip tightened on her blades.

”His sword didn’t even hum. It’s like the very air itself is cut for him.”

Finally, Alf exhaled and muttered,

”This is why they call him the White Reaper of Armand.”

Garius let out a relaxed sigh, spinning one sword idly.

”Come on now. You’re all so loud back there. Weren’t we supposed to clean this place up?”

He grinned again.

”Let’s make it fun.”

Garius raised his left palm.

A glowing magic circle expanded in mid-air, pure white and intricate with glowing runes.

In an instant, countless white orbs of light materialized—each one humming with concentrated, divine purifying energy.

They hovered for only a moment—then shot forward like divine meteors across the battlefield.

Every single orb hit its mark.

Not a single one missed.

Each ball of light pierced through a shadowy fiend, exploding it into flickering ash and scattered miasma.

Even creatures attempting to dodge were tracked—guided by Garius’s intent—homing bursts of destruction that hit precisely.

The entire front line of the corrupted horde collapsed in moments.

And through it all—Garius didn’t even pause.

His twin blades kept swinging lazily, each arc clean and perfect—as if he were just practicing drills.

His long coat fluttered behind him, barely tainted by the filth he was cleansing, dozens of monsters falling at his feet.

His face—lit by flashes of holy light—carried a joyful, boyish grin.

”Ahh~ It’s been so long since I’ve had a workout like this.”

He tilted his head back slightly, laughing.

From behind, Liana and Gloria stood ready, awe in their eyes but firm in stance.

”Liana! Gloria!”

Garius called out mid-swing, casually decapitating a beast twice his size.

”Yes, my lord!”

They responded in unison, clutching their weapons tighter.

His tone shifted into a playful warning.

”Don’t tell your young master about this.”

Their eyes widened—then sparkled with shared understanding.

”As you command, my lord!”

Garius laughed and twirled through the battlefield, his twin swords slicing through waves of monsters like ribbons of shadow in a storm of light.

His footwork was fluid—almost effortless.

His grin only grew wider with every shriek he silenced.

”One! two! three! Aha! that one popped!”

He hummed happily, like dancing through his favorite routine.

”This is more relaxing than paperwork.”

Behind him, Liana moved like the wind, her magic bow glowing with silver and emerald threads.

With each pull, she fired bolts of pure mana, arrows slicing through the enemies trying to flank Garius.

”Right flank clear!” she called, eyes quickly locking on the next group.

”Covering high ground!”

Beside her, Gloria charged forward with her runed warhammer, glowing like molten gold.

She slammed it into the ground, sending a shockwave that knocked a cluster of dark beasts flying.

”They’re vulnerable to impact! I’ll keep them down, Liana, finish them!”

”Roger!”

On the other side, Alf and Erinette fought like blades of vengeance—precision and grace in perfect sync.

Alf flickered through shadows, his white ore daggers leaving trails of clear light with each strike. His body darted from place to place like a ghost—silent, exact.

Erinette spun her long twin blades, moving like a whirlwind—strikes elegant and brutal, faster than the eye could follow.

”Switch!” Alf called out.

”Got it!” Erinette spun—targeting different enemies mid-swing, carving a lethal arc of destruction across an enemy wave—all perfectly coordinated.

And right in the center—

Fransesca stood still, serene and untouchable.

Her eyes half-closed in calm focus.

Raising one hand slightly, she commanded.

Behind her, a ring of white magic missiles formed, floating like orbiting stars.

They moved on their own—targeting, firing, piercing every corrupted monster daring to approach her vicinity.

Each missile struck with surgical precision, exploding into divine bursts of white light that vaporized enemies instantly.

”Fransesca-sama... does she even need to try?” Erinette muttered, fighting nearby.

”Does she ever?” Alf replied dryly.

The battlefield erupted with flashes of white, silver, and gold, turning what should have been a desperate fight into a stunning, brutal massacre by the elite of Armand.
