My SSS-Rank Innate skill: Infinite Adaptation core

Nova wasn’t in need of Bloodlines or Physiques, as he already had a powerful Bloodline and Physique. He also rarely used the System Store, only buying simple things that cost fewer Evolution Points.

As Liya said, he preferred saving more Evolution Points for the Gacha, as it could give him things that would cost multiple times more if he bought them directly with Evolution Points.

Though he might need the System Store if he wanted to buy something for his wives and parents so he was still happy that it had been upgraded to include treasures, Bloodlines, and Physiques of such high ranks.

Next, Liya went over a few more upgrades, and Nova kept listening patiently. After some time, the briefing on the System upgrades was finally over.

”Now that this is over, show me the notifications I wanted to see after completing my third evolution,” Nova said excitedly.

{Sure... here they are. I saved them for the right time and situation, as you would have enjoyed them more then. But now, you will enjoy them even more.}

The next second, multiple notifications popped up.

With this, the notifications finally came to an end.

So, these were the hidden objectives Nova had to complete, and he wasn’t surprised to see that he had successfully completed them.

By seeing the second objective, he understood one thing: Caelan and Kharos were not the strongest existences in this world.

Although it was said that the Dragon Emperor stood at the same level as Caelan, that still meant Caelan, Kharos, and the Dragon Emperor were all around the same level.

Nova understood that these were not the strongest beings in this world, which shocked him, as he couldn’t imagine how strong the true strongest beings must be.

He had only just started to comprehend the strength of a Level 1 Sovereign, and he himself had just become an Emperor. He still had a long way to go.

But that didn’t mean he had no way to deal with them, nor did it mean he had to fear them.

The objective made it clear that he had instilled fear in many Sovereigns and Emperors, which was quite natural after they saw what Nova could do.

The dread they felt was even greater than the dread they had felt during the time of Demon Lord Raze. Another anomaly had appeared in the world.

They understood that Demon Lord Raze was already an anomaly, but Nova was something else entirely. He had the presence of a Royal Demon or even a Demon Lord, and then he transformed into a Dragon at the level of an Elder Dragon.

The level of dragon size that had only ever been seen with Demon Lord Raze and one other individual. There were other Elder Dragons as well, but none of them had a colossal form nearly as large as theirs.

That was an entirely different level of shock.

He wasn’t a hybrid. He could literally change his race. Just what kind of being was he?

And then there was his unknown ability, which had shocked even two of the strongest existences, Kharos and Caelan.

Not to mention his special flame.

That flame could literally destroy a Sovereign’s body as if it were nothing and even burn their soul. That flame was on an entirely different level.

Then there was his level of growth. The information spreading throughout the world proved that the Slaughter Monarch hadn’t been this strong not long ago.

His age was also incredibly young, yet he was already this powerful. What would he become in the future?

All of these things were enough to instill fear in every Sovereign and Emperor, if not even the strongest existences of this world.

And then came his rewards, which shocked him even more. Yet, he understood why they were so extraordinary. After all, it had been an SSS-Level Quest, so the rewards were bound to be shocking.

One billion Evolution Points... That was huge. He had also received quite a lot of Fate Points, though not as much as last time.

But he was surprised to learn that Zero had actually died. How? He had thought Zero wouldn’t die, as he knew his flame would harm him by reducing his strength, but it wasn’t strong enough to kill him.

Then there was the fate of Nyxara and Velena.

Nova knew that if he hadn’t been able to transfer them into the System Space, he couldn’t possibly have saved them from Kharos taking them back with him.

He, or anyone else, wouldn’t have been able to do anything about it.

Although Kharos was Nyxara’s father and a bad one at that, he wasn’t so bad that he would harm Nyxara. But Nova wasn’t sure about Velena, and Nyxara would have saved her as well.

That was probably why he had only received 20,000 Fate Points for changing their fate.

He understood that his class had leveled up. Now, he had to see what skill he would receive from it.

” what the fuck was this First Seal?” Nova wondered. It said he was now able to understand and comprehend beings of the Divine Level.

”Are there fucking seals on my body?” Nova wanted to see them.

Although he now felt a little different, as if his vision had become clearer and his understanding had widened slightly, he couldn’t tell exactly how.

{It must be related to the headache you get whenever you think about something you shouldn’t, which relates to higher-level existences... Though it was only the First Seal, it gave me the authority to explain things to you on that level as well.}

”Hmm, I understand a little... Though there is one thing that’s certain. I know I’m forgetting something, but I can’t remember what it is. Yet I feel like it’s something I wanted to know the most.”

Sure enough, Nova had forgotten about the existence that had brought him to this world. He remembered the being just after he transmigrated, but little by little, he had completely forgotten about that existence.

Although he remembered that he had transmigrated and still had all the memories of his old life, he knew how he had died.

But whenever he reached the point where he had met a certain someone, it was as if a magic spell prevented him from thinking about that being. His thoughts would automatically shift to something else.

He only knew that after dying, he had somehow ended up in this world and received the System.

His understanding had been sealed multiple times, which was obviously done for a reason—a reason significant enough that Nova couldn’t even think about it.

And Liya didn’t have the authority to reveal anything either. She herself didn’t know many of the things surrounding his existence.

But now that the First Seal had been released, she had gained the authority to reveal a few things to Nova.

{Think of it this way: there are things that are dangerous for you to know right now, and someone has placed seals on you, as you can already tell. It’s from the being that gave you me, of course.}

{And I can’t tell you why it is dangerous for you to even know them, as knowing things and thinking about them doesn’t always put someone in danger. Even I don’t understand or know everything about it.}

{But now that the First Seal has been removed, you are eligible enough to comprehend beings on the Divine Level without any backlash.}
