”What...?!”

Shock rippled through everyone once more. The black-violet flames did not die down. They continued to burn even the soul of Zero — though the process was noticeably slower than when they had consumed his body.

It was only because Nova had not used the flame at its full power. Every pair of eyes turned toward the colossal black dragon. Chills ran down their spines.

Just what kind of existence was this being?

”Not good... I can’t afford to lose a Sovereign.” Zeon’s expression hardened.

”I have to take him to them. They’re the only ones who can save him now.” He opened a spatial rift and prepared to escape with Zero’s burning soul.

”Not so soon!” Caelan moved to block them, but Kharos immediately stepped in front of him.

”Let them go,” the Demon Lord said coldly. ”If you want to stop them... then fight me.”

”Sigh... you bastard.”

Caelan stopped as he saw Kharos refusing to let him stop them. He knew that if he tried to force it, Kharos might go all out, and he didn’t want that.

If Kharos released all his power now, the others wouldn’t be able to handle him. The capital would be destroyed, and Caelan wouldn’t be able to protect them while fighting him at the same time.

That was why he was being so cautious and not going all out, as doing so could trigger this crazy demon. He knew this fact all too well. Not to mention that anomaly... What kind of fire did he use?

Caelan thought as he looked toward the colossal black dragon. While Kharos had stopped Caelan, Zeon took Zero’s burning soul with him and disappeared inside the rift, as he wasn’t literally touching the soul because he could sense that it was dangerous.

His minions followed after him. Vaoroak and the others knew why Caelan wasn’t stopping them, as Kharos was still there.

Not to mention, Elaris was also present, though for some reason, she looked dazed as she continuously stared at the black dragon.

Nova saw Zeon and his group disappear inside the rift. He couldn’t stop them, nor did he have any reason to, as Caelan and the others would take care of it.

Though he was still curious about why they had attacked the capital.

He could see that they hadn’t been able to destroy much, while the hybrids had been killed by the human forces, though there had been quite a few casualties among them.

Still, he thought there must have been some reason behind it. But he wouldn’t be able to think about any of that for the time being, as he was barely maintaining this form.

He was severely wounded and could feel his internal organs aching despite his instant regeneration.

Such was the power of the flame he had used. He would need quite a lot of time to recover.

People around the continent were still scared of the dragon, as they could see the mighty colossal dragon looking at them indifferently after almost killing a Sovereign as if it were nothing.

Caelan, Kharos, and the other powerhouses were no longer underestimating Nova in the slightest after witnessing his power.

He had been able to take down a Sovereign-level being, yet they couldn’t see through Nova and didn’t know that he was severely wounded. If any of them attacked him now, he wouldn’t be able to defend himself.

Caelan then asked as he turned toward Nova, ”Tell me, Slaughter Monarch, whose side are you on? ...I don’t want someone like you to become my enemy, and I can see that you aren’t on the side of the demons either.

I’m also not sure if you have something to do with the dragons.”

Caelan said that Nova and Nyxara had helped save Maira, though he didn’t know why. That was also the reason he hadn’t been actively trying to go after Nova like Kharos had.

However, he wasn’t certain about what exactly Nova’s intentions were either, so he needed to clear that up. Though, he wasn’t expecting Nova to be honest about his intentions.

Nova looked at Caelan as even Kharos and the others were curious to hear what he had to say. The entire continent was paying attention, waiting to hear what the terrifying dragon would say.

Nova spoke, ”I’m not on anyone’s side... And let’s just say you can’t imagine what I am.

As for being an enemy... If you give me a reason, I’ll destroy your entire lineage, whether it be you, those Demon Lords, or the other racial Emperors.”

People around the continent, along with the powerhouses and experts, gasped when they heard the dragon’s words. They could tell that he wasn’t joking. After witnessing his power and seeing what he could do, they knew he was completely serious.

”Though I have two dogs of your human race to kill.”

Nova said this as he turned his head toward Albert and Ron, who shuddered in fear. They had been standing at a distance, thinking Nova might have forgotten about them.

But after seeing his power, watching him transform into a colossal dragon, and witnessing his strength grow beyond even their imaginations, they could already see their own deaths.

If even Caelan and Kharos were hesitating to attack him, what chance did they have?

”Though... I’ll let them live for now.”

Caelan looked at Albert and Ron as he understood. He was about to say something when someone suddenly interrupted him.

”OH, DARLING!”

Elaris charged toward Nova. She couldn’t believe her eyes at what she was seeing.

When Nova had transformed into a humanoid dragon, his aura had become different, yet he still looked incredibly cool and handsome.

Though she couldn’t see his face, she could somehow feel it. Her body began to heat up as her bloodline surged, urging her to capture him and make him hers.

And then he transformed into a colossal dragon of a size she had only seen from Demon Lord Raze and that person. She couldn’t believe her eyes as her mind went blank.

All she wanted now was to see what else he could do, how much stronger he could become, and whether he was the same handsome young man she had seen in the Abyss.

And now, this gigantic monstrosity was someone she felt afraid of—an existence whose presence reminded her of only a few beings in this world.

But she didn’t care about any of that now.

Who was he? How was he so strong? How had he changed from a demon into a dragon? He had actually been able to defeat a Sovereign?

She now felt an intense jealousy toward Nyxara.

He was the husband of that little girl. She wanted him to be hers. Not to mention, she thought that bitch Aurora was also after him now, especially after seeing her talking to him.

Nova saw Elaris coming toward him and sighed. This stubborn woman really wasn’t going to leave him alone.

”WHY DON’T YOU GO WITH ME, NOW THAT THE FIGHT IS OVER?!”

Nova sighed again and muttered,

”Not interested.”

With that, his entire existence vanished as if it had never existed, leaving behind only the echo of those two words.

Everyone’s eyes widened as they watched the colossal black dragon disappear, as if he had never existed in the first place. It was the same move he had used earlier to save himself from the pressure of Demon Lord Kharos and fight against Zero.

”NO! HE RAN AWAY AGAIN!! WHY WON’T HE LISTEN TO ME?!”

Elaris watched Nova vanish as her heart sank. Why did he run away from her again? She couldn’t even get a kiss like last time. In anger, she stomped her foot in the air multiple times at the place where Nova had disappeared.

People around the continent were surprised to see the mighty dragon rejecting Elaris, and from her words, they could tell that this wasn’t the first time it had happened.

He had vanished again, though they didn’t feel like he had run away because he was scared. It was more like he simply didn’t want to deal with Demon Lord Elaris.

Still, many of them couldn’t help but feel jealous of him. Such a breathtaking and powerful existence was actually interested in him so much.

Kharos and Caelan once again couldn’t detect Nova’s departure. After everything that had happened, they had no choice but to consider him one of the greatest threats they had ever encountered.

Aurora watched Nova disappear, genuinely surprised. It had been a long time since she had received a message like that.

And now, after all this time, it was only because of a boy. Though now, she wasn’t even certain if he really was the same person she had seen in the tournament.
