My Goblin System : Levelling up with my SSS Class Devouring skill

Chapter 498: Chapter 498

Used Absolute Severance to cut connections between core and extremities, isolated consciousness from distributed body.

Used Holy Blade to burn divine power reserves directly, forced Ancient God to consume reserves defending against purification rather than fueling detonation.

Used Temporal Manipulation to age sections of divine form rapidly, accelerated decay that regeneration couldn’t counter.

Used Psychic Annihilation to attack Khar’razoth’s awareness continuously, prevented coherent thought needed to complete techniques.

It was brutal. Methodical. Merciless.

Satou wasn’t fighting anymore. Was executing. Taking apart an Ancient God piece by piece, reducing divine horror to helpless prey.

Khar’razoth screamed. Raged. Begged. Threatened. Promised.

Satou ignored all of it. Just continued the dismantling with mechanical precision, thirteen-layered destruction applied continuously for hours.

Finally, after one hundred thirteen continuous hours of combat, the Ancient God collapsed.

Its 50-foot form, reduced through sustained assault, fell to the devastated ground.

Its divine power, depleted through four days of maximum output and three hours of direct burning, dropped below manifestation threshold.

Its consciousness, fragmented through sustained psychological assault, lost cohesion needed to maintain unified awareness.

Its body, destroyed by accumulated damage that couldn’t regenerate, lost ability to support existence.

Khar’razoth the Forsaken, Ancient God of Hunger and Consumption, fell.

Not dead—Ancient Gods couldn’t truly die.

But defeated. Broken. Helpless. Unable to fight. Unable to resist. Unable to even maintain physical form much longer.

Satou stood over the fallen god, his own body equally devastated—barely humanoid, held together only by regeneration operating on impossible negative resources, maintained purely by will that refused death.

One hand still embedded in Khar’razoth’s core. The other raised, gathering darkness.

”It’s over,” he said through mouth that had reconstructed forty-seven times during battle. ”You fought well. Better than anyone I’ve ever faced. You proved gods can be challenged.”

Blood poured from his lips as he spoke.

”But you threatened my family. And that’s unforgivable.”

He activated the ability that had defined his entire journey.

”[DEVOURING]”

The Devouring that normally took seconds stretched into hour for Ancient God.

Satou’s SSS-Rank ability, enhanced by Final Overdrive to absolute maximum, activated with force that could consume demon lord-tier beings.

But Khar’razoth wasn’t demon lord. Was god. Was existence predating mortality. Was consciousness spanning eons. Was power that shouldn’t fit in mortal vessel.

The consumption was violent.

Satou pulled at Khar’razoth’s essence, his Devouring ability analyzing, deconstructing, absorbing power that resisted every step.

The Ancient God fought the consumption even in defeat, divine consciousness refusing to be eaten, existence itself protesting being digested by mortal.

But Satou was relentless. Unyielding. His will, forged through five years of building something worth protecting, hardened through five days of impossible battle, refused to accept failure.

He pulled. And pulled. And pulled.

Khar’razoth’s consciousness began separating from Elric’s body—divine awareness being torn from human vessel, godhood forcibly extracted.

The Ancient God’s essence, halfway extracted, began fighting harder than ever:

Lashing out with remaining power, trying to possess Satou instead, attempting to turn consumption into counter-consumption.

Satou’s Mind Fortress - Absolute defended against possession attempt, his Mental Fortitude - Legendary refusing divine override, but the struggle created feedback that felt like brain being boiled.

Khar’razoth’s consciousness fragmented into millions of pieces, tried to hide fragments throughout mortal realm, attempted to ensure some portion would survive even if main consciousness was consumed.

Satou’s enhanced perception tracked every fragment through thirteen-layered awareness, his Devouring expanding to catch each piece, refusing to let anything escape.

As Khar’razoth’s consciousness was pulled into Satou’s being, the integration process began:

Divine power beyond mortal capacity flowing into dragoblin form, power trying to destroy vessel that couldn’t contain it.

Knowledge spanning eons downloading into consciousness designed for decades, information threatening to shatter mind that couldn’t process it.

Abilities that shouldn’t exist in mortal realm settling into power structure, techniques creating conflicts with existing skills.

Satou’s body began breaking from inside—not from external damage, but from containing power it was never designed to hold:

His Dragon’s Heart, already operating beyond sustainability, tried to split to create additional hearts to distribute power load.

His mana channels, already exploding and rebuilding continuously, tried to expand into dimensions beyond three-space to carry divine energy.

His bones, already crystalline from repeated reformation, tried to transcend physical matter entirely to support impossible strength.

His consciousness, already fragmented into thirty-seven streams, threatened to dissolve completely as divine knowledge overwhelmed processing capacity.

But his Survivor’s Will—the ability that refused death—activated automatically, forcing his body to adapt rather than fail, compelling existence to change rather than end.

In the final ten minutes, the consumption reached climax:

Khar’razoth’s final, desperate scream as divine consciousness was pulled completely into Satou’s being, Ancient God experiencing unprecedented horror of being eaten by mortal.

The scream operated across dimensions, across timelines, across reality itself—every being within a hundred miles heard it, felt it, understood on primal level that something impossible had just occurred.

Then silence.

Khar’razoth the Forsaken, Ancient God of Hunger and Consumption, ceased to exist as independent entity.

Its power. Its knowledge. Its essence. Its existence.

All consumed. All absorbed. All made part of Satou.

Satou stood there for three seconds after Devouring completed, Ancient God power burning through his form, trying to process what he’d just absorbed.

Then Final Overdrive, maintained for fifteen hours past its theoretical limit, finally reached its absolute end.

Not gradually. Not with warning. Just... stopped.

Every system shut down simultaneously:

His Dragon’s Heart, which had been beating at impossible speeds for five straight days, trying to split into multiple organs to handle divine power, simply... stopped. Muscle that had been vibrating faster than perception froze mid-contraction, oscillation ceasing completely.
