Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1885: Chapter 1130: About to Form a Core!

Xuanzhen wanted to accelerate the cultivation speed of the Divine Generals, and Yang Zhenshan naturally would not oppose, but Xuanzhen wanted more than just the cultivation of ordinary Divine Generals.

”I can arrange the transformation and cultivation of the Divine Generals, but there is one thing that requires your agreement!” Xuanzhen said.

”What is it?” Yang Zhenshan was a bit surprised.

Xuanzhen chuckled and said, ”I’ve discovered that Divine Generals can cultivate the Eight Great Mantras!”

For a moment, Yang Zhenshan did not grasp the significance of his words, ”So?”

”They can cultivate!” Xuanzhen reminded.

Yang Zhenshan paused slightly and then his eyes suddenly lit up.

”Can they really?”

”Of course, I’ve already had them try it. Not only can they cultivate the Eight Great Mantras, but they can also use the Golden Light Divine Spell to convert Yin Souls into Divine Generals!” Xuanzhen replied.

Yang Zhenshan was stunned as he looked at him.

The Divine Generals can use the Golden Light Divine Spell to convert Yin Souls into Divine Generals, what does this mean?

It’s probably like robots manufacturing robots.

Manufacturing robots still faces limitations from materials and energy, but converting Divine Generals only requires a Divine Soul.

But then Yang Zhenshan frowned, the Divine Generals can convert Yin Souls into Divine Generals, is this good or bad?

The benefit is that this would greatly increase the speed of cultivating Divine Generals in the Spirit Source Land, not just a hundred thousand Divine Generals, even a million Divine Generals might be possible.

There are also disadvantages, like whether the converted Divine Generals would be uncontrollable.

Although Divine Generals are loyal and reliable, this loyalty and reliability are because the Divine Generals’ thinking is relatively simple and their self-awareness is relatively thin.

If Divine Generals can cultivate on their own and even independently convert other Yin Souls into Divine Generals, won’t they become a kind of Ghost Cultivator?

A being with self-awareness and desires.

Yang Zhenshan asked thoughtfully, ”How is their cultivation speed?”

”It’s not fast, it’s probably a bit slower than ordinary Ghost Cultivators!” Xuanzhen said.

”Are the Divine Generals they convert controlled by the Divine General Chessboard?” Yang Zhenshan asked again.

Xuanzhen’s eyebrows slightly furrowed, ”Not controlled! Are you worried they might betray?”

Yang Zhenshan shook his head, ”No!”

Worried about Divine Generals betraying?

Naturally, that’s impossible!

If Divine Generals can betray, can’t humans? Can’t demon beasts?

The current Spirit Source Land has a population of over six million, more than ten thousand Mutant Beasts, and thousands of demon beasts. If Yang Zhenshan were afraid these humans and demon beasts would betray, he wouldn’t have let so many people and demon beasts enter the Spirit Source Land.

”Then is their speed in converting Yin Souls fast?” Yang Zhenshan continued to ask.

”Currently, it’s not fast, but their cultivation level on the Golden Light Divine Spell is still very low. If their cultivation level in the Golden Light Divine Spell improves, the speed shouldn’t be slower than Foundation Establishment cultivators!”

”You just said the converted Divine Generals are not controlled by the Divine General Chessboard, does that mean they can exist independently?” Yang Zhenshan asked.

The true spirits of the Divine Generals transformed earlier were all in the Divine General Chessboard; the Divine General Chessboard was both a restriction and a protection for the Divine Generals.

Restriction means that the Divine Generals are subject to the control of the Chessboard’s owner and cannot disobey the owner’s orders.

Protection means that as long as the Divine General’s true spirit is in the Chessboard, their true spirit will not dissipate, and they are essentially immortal.

”That’s correct, their true spirits are no longer in the Chessboard. If they die in battle, their true spirits will dissipate, and they are also limited by their Yin lifespan!” Xuanzhen replied.

Yang Zhenshan nodded, ”That means they are essentially a different type of Ghost Cultivator!”

Xuanzhen was startled, then nodded, ”That’s not wrong! But Divine Generals are much better than Ghost Cultivators. Ghost Cultivators tend toward gloomy dispositions because they cultivate Yin Attribute techniques, whereas Divine Generals tend to be very pure because they cultivate the Golden Light Divine Spell.”

The cultivation technique can influence the cultivator’s disposition, this is common knowledge among Immortal Cultivators.

Most Immortal Cultivators can overcome this influence and maintain their true selves.

But Ghost Cultivators are different; they emerge without memories of their previous life, which means they lack their own personality and consciousness, although they retain some habits from their previous life, they possess an entirely new personality.

Therefore, being influenced by Yin Attribute Spiritual Energy, their slowly forming self-awareness tends to be cruel, indifferent, and selfish.

After listening, Yang Zhenshan’s mouth slightly curved, ”Very well, then let all Divine Generals cultivate the Golden Light Divine Spell!”

Divine Generals being able to cultivate autonomously is a good thing.

Once all Divine Generals can cultivate autonomously, their future will be bright.

Although most of the Divine Generals in the Spirit Source Land currently originate from the Ghost Cultivators of the Yellow Springs Hall, most future Divine Generals will be people from the Spirit Source Land.

Yang Zhenshan doesn’t dare hope that everyone in the Spirit Source Land can be immortal, but if they become Divine Generals, it counts as a continuation of their lives.

Therefore, he hopes that the people of the Spirit Source Land can become Divine Generals in the future and have new paths of cultivation.

”Let them cultivate the Golden Light Divine Spell, that’s not a problem, but they also need resources!” Xuanzhen said.

”Resources!” Yang Zhenshan thought about it, understanding Xuanzhen’s meaning that previously Divine Generals did not receive any salary, they didn’t eat or drink, nor did they need to cultivate, so giving them a salary wasn’t useful.

Now they need to cultivate, naturally, they will need some resources.

If it were just a few Divine Generals, Xuanzhen could make his own decisions.

But this involves thousands, even up to hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of Divine Generals in the future.

Granting salaries to Divine Generals, neither Xuanzhen nor Yang Chengmao can make such decisions alone.
