A Warm Marriage After Rebirth

Chapter 73: Chapter 73: Mighty Seraphina

”Terrence Grant? What are you doing in my bedroom?” Seraphina Sterling glanced cautiously behind her. ’Thank God Mom didn’t hear, or tomorrow’s plans would be completely ruined!’

Terrence Grant was leaning against her bookshelf, arms crossed over his chest, a wicked smile playing on his lips.

”What’s going on between you and Justin Hale? I’ve warned you, Justin Hale isn’t as simple as he seems! Don’t let his gentle and considerate act give you any ideas. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. For a scion from a wealthy family like him, all he sees is personal gain, and all he calculates are profits and losses! He’s only getting close to you because you’re useful to him right now. He needs to get the Hale Family’s assets from you! Don’t be a fool and fall for it. In the end, you’ll be the only one who gets hurt!”

”Relax! I’ve seen plenty of scions from wealthy families. In fact, you could say I used to be one of them! I know exactly what kind of people they are. I will absolutely never fall in love with any of them! You don’t need to worry about that, *teacher*!”

The corner of Seraphina Sterling’s mouth lifted in a self-deprecating smile. ’Wasn’t I miserable enough in my past life for the sake of so-called love? I crawled my way out of hell, and my only goal is revenge!’

Terrence Grant’s brows furrowed tightly. ’Never fall in love with any of them? Why does that sound so wrong?’

”Also, this is my bedroom! Isn’t it a little inappropriate for a grown man like you to barge in without so much as a knock?” Seraphina Sterling walked up to Terrence Grant, her brilliant eyes flashing with a sharp light. ’If I could, I’d really love to strangle this man right now!’

Terrence Grant’s deep eyes swept coolly over her. ”I’m not interested in a little green apple like you. You wouldn’t even be a mouthful.”

What Seraphina Sterling hated most was when Terrence Grant spoke to her with that tone and that look in his eyes.

She stepped closer to Terrence Grant, the corners of her lips turning up slightly. A faint, bewitching smile played in her dimples as she leaned in toward his ear. With a sultry gaze, her sweet breath warm against his skin, she asked softly, ”Is that so?”

Terrence Grant had never imagined that the student he’d personally mentored could have such a seductive, bewitching side. A wave of heat washed over him, and the memory of their last kiss flooded his mind. The mere thought made beads of sweat break out on his forehead, the heat in his body building to a fever pitch!

Just as Terrence Grant was about to kiss her, Seraphina Sterling suddenly slipped away. The enchanting temptress from a moment ago vanished, replaced by her usual smiling self, as if that seductive display had been a complete illusion.

”Seraphina Sterling—” A frustrated man is a terrifying thing. Terrence Grant’s eyes were bloodshot, and he looked ready to take what he wanted from the little troublemaker right then and there.

”You should probably leave now, Mr. Grant.” Seraphina Sterling completely ignored the man who looked ready to snap. ’That’ll teach him to keep calling me a little green apple!’

Terrence Grant took a deep breath, finally suppressing the rising heat. ”Hughes will pick you up tomorrow.”

”Pick me up? For what? Don’t tell me you’ve got something planned. I have to go downtown tomorrow! Whatever it is, I’m not going!” Seraphina Sterling watched him warily. ’I absolutely have to go tomorrow!’

Terrence Grant glanced at her. ”Your mother’s no fool. After the big scene Justin Hale just made, do you really think she’ll let you go tomorrow if she doesn’t see me?”

Seraphina Sterling: ’...Is he right?’
