Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 974: Chapter 974:- Emperor Rowan

By the next Morning, Aditya stood before all the spies of the Radiant Empire. The total number of Spies that the Empire planted in his Empire really shocked him.

The number was exaggerated.

”Are you sure that no one escaped?” Aditya looked at Nathan and asked.

”Everyone on the list is here. This is the only official record about the spies that exists.” Nathan did not immediately find the list. And the captured man refused to give any answers, even when he was tortured.

Another squad stayed behind to thoroughly search everything. But whatever they found was not useful to their investigation. The squad was about to leave when a dog smelled something from the garden.

Beneath the garden, there was a very small chamber that was very well hidden by the vegetable plants.

In it, they found everything that they needed.

”There is a total of four thousand seven hundred and one spies. All have been captured and are in this room.” Just to accommodate this huge number of spies, within a single night, the room had to be expanded. Even then, the whole room was extremely crowded. But all were tied with special chains that restricted their cultivation.

These Special Chains can inflict various kinds of pain on targeted areas of the body.

”The only city that had the least number of Spies was the Capital.” This was natural since the Capital had the highest number of guards and safety was taken more seriously, especially after that bombing attack in the market.

It wasn’t easy for spies to exist here. And those that did exist had to remain hidden almost every time.

For spies, this City was more like a huge open cage where they couldn’t do their job properly. Even the food that was provided to the guards came from the Dragon Palace, and cleaning was done by a group of servants that was maintained and hired by the Second Division.

Even if a new cleaner wanted to join, the strict regulations and background checks made it nearly impossible for anyone to get the job. The pay was excellent, but the entry requirements for the job were extremely demanding.

So there was no chance for any spies to infiltrate. Even if one could, it was too risky. And the spy was caught almost immediately.

”What should we do with the spies?” Asked Nathan. Most times, depending on the level of information the spy had access to and the intel they sent back to their organisation or Empire, an appropriate punishment would be meted out.

There were some who received 50 years of prison punishment after that, and those spies would be branded as slaves and sold off or sent to work at the mines or at some other facility where intense labour is required.

But this was a special case. There were far too many spies, and Nathan had no idea what to do.

”Kill him.” Aditya pointed at the right-hand man of the General. He couldn’t use the word ”former”

here, as it wouldn’t be appropriate. Since this man secretly worked for the Radiant Empire.”For now, don’t kill anyone.”

”Contact the Radiant Empire and ask for an explanation.” This meant provide appropiate ransom and compensation. If the Empire refused, Aditya would have to personally pay a visit to the Radiant Empire.

Scene Change_______

By morning, the Radiant Emperor learned of what had happened last night from some individual sources.

A few hours later, a delegation from the Istarin Empire arrived with the words of the Dragon Monarch.

[His Majesty asks for a proper explanation. The Radiant Empire must compensate for what they did and also provide ransom if it wants your men back.]

The man sitting on the throne calmly listened to the words of the Messenger, who was a Peak 5th-order Dragonian. But to the Emperor and his men, it almost felt like a slap to the face.

Especially for the Emperor, it was deeply humiliating. Not because of the words that the Messenger, but because of the fact that the Istarin Emperor purposely sent its Dragonian as a messenger. It was Aditya’s way of telling the Emperor that he knew that his intel helped the Organisation.

”How dare you?” But the Son of the Radiant Emperor couldn’t sit still.

But the Dragonian merely glanced at the Son sitting by the Throne.

”Now that my job is done, I will take my leave. Farewell!” The Dragonian turned around and began walking back. As for what response the Radiant Empire gave, he did not care. If they wanted war, he was more than happy to fight back.

Since returning from the Tunnel World, he and others have been itching for revenge.

’Going against the Graveyard of Empires would be extremely dumb. But I wonder if the Emperor would be able to let go of his arrogance and think with rationality.’ Aditya had sent one of the Dragonians, who was taken away by a member of the Organisation and tortured in public.

”Father, what should we do?” Once the Dragonian left the courtroom, the Crown Prince couldn’t help but ask.

The Emperor stayed silent for a while before deciding to contact the Organisation before giving a response.

”Let me think for a while.”

”Anyways, we have 24 hours to give an answer.” He knew very well that depending on his answer, this could very well bring an invasion. There was a high chance that the Dragon Monarch himself might come to visit him tomorrow.

The Emperor stopped on its path and looked at his Prime Minister, who was already sweating. He himself could not see a way out of this situation.

’I kept telling you not to send too many Spies all over the Empire. Now we will suffer the consequences of your reckless actions.’ It was he who slowly convinced the Emperor to soften their foreign policy towards the Ethereal Empire.

He knew their Empire no longer stood at the top of the pyramid. Within the last two years, there has been a dramatic shift in geopolitical power.

Even the Dune Sovereignty that was currently ruled by its new Ruler was a really good ally of the Istarin Empire. Within the Six Continents, the Istarin Empire held too much power. The power and influence of the Dragon Monarch was so great that it was suffocating, even though there was no bad blood between the Istarin Empire and the Radiant Empire.

But all of its efforts fell short because of something that the Emperor decided out of nowhere around three or four months back. He became obsessed with recruiting and training spies and then sending them to gather information from the Istarin Empire.

Sending that many spies all over the Vast Istarin Empire almost felt like it was a signal that the Radiant Empire was preparing to wage war. However, the Emperor had no such intentions. So the Prime Minister was left feeling very confused.

”Shittttttt!!!”

”Those bastards!!!!”

A man with messy, long black hair was standing under a large tree and cursing at the sky loudly.1

A few minutes earlier, with a special artefact, he contacted the Core member Vega. But Vega already seems to know about the situation and straight up refused to help with his Own.

He even refused to provide any advice. He ended the conversation, saying it was the last time they would communicate.

After that, the special artefact that he used to communicate with Vega exploded.

Vega met Rowan around a year back. At that time, Rowan was recruited as a scout for the Organisation.

He would also help the Organisation members secure lodging and fake identities to complete their missions.

When he was recruited, Vega gave Rowan a highly rare artefact and 5-star herbs, which are exceedingly expensive and only available at a high cost on the Main Continent.

He also received other benefits. The things that he received every month as a reward helped his Empire grow stronger. Within a year, several of their experts had become Peak 5th-order cultivators.

Vega even helped him send some of his Peak 5th-order cultivators get accepted into reputable sects and build connections with those sects.

But despite all the benefits, the risk he took to help the Organisation ultimately backfired, leaving him alone and without any help or advice. Instead, he was kicked out of the Organisation.

Swoosh.....!!!

A strong gust of wind blew, but he did not care. He was lost in anger, sorrow, regret, and many other negative emotions. He felt so overwhelmed that he could not think rationally about how to deal with the situation.

In the past few months, he had started to even dream about becoming an Outer member of the Organisation.

”They used you, didn’t they?” Hearing the voice behind him, the Emperor was startled. He took a step back and hurriedly turned around.

It was Aditya.

Seeing the Dragon Monarch here, the Emperor widened his eyes with a look of shock. The next second, he panicked. As he knew that Aditya being here meant that he was most likely going to be killed.

”How did you get into my private space?” This was the most private space of the Emperor. The whole area had a total of 9 different types of rune arrays and other traps to prevent anyone from breaking in. There were also hundreds of guards and many alert systems.

But still, the Dragon Monarch managed to get inside and appear behind him without him noticing.

”Well, even if you put a hundred different types of rune arrays, it still isn’t enough to stop me.” Aditya himself was a genius at Runes.

”What about my guards, and how did you get inside the Palace?”

”Don’t tell me you killed everyone to get here?” He asked with a look of shock and panic.

”I don’t need to.” Aditya just learned how to talk with the Emperor before he took any actions. Even though he had given the Emperor 24 hours, he had run out of patience and wanted to see the Emperor face-to-face.

Hearing this, Rowan was shocked again. He knew the Dragon Monarch was strong, but to get inside the Royal Palace despite its heavy security and even get into his personal space just reflected just how powerful the Dragon Monarch had become.

Really, thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets and gifts. I hope we can keep it up!!!

This is to show that the People of the Organisation are above him. The sky represents the Sky above which is the Organization
