Reborn into the 70: Turning Adversity into Her Dazzling Path

Gu Lingling tasted a few dishes and frowned.

Taoran Inn hires top chefs, and usually there are no issues as long as the menu is followed.

Moreover, many recipes at Taoran Inn are derived from the ancient book she acquired, so there shouldn’t be such a significant difference in taste for the same dishes eaten here versus in the Capital City or elsewhere.

Of course, people like Mo Hongying and Zhang Lanfang who haven’t eaten at Taoran Inn before wouldn’t be able to tell.

But the taste doesn’t leave a strong impression either.

It might even make one think that the dishes here are merely famous without being exceptionally good.

After trying a few dishes, Gu Lingling mentioned to Mo Hongying and went to the kitchen with the manager.

”When did this start happening?” Gu Lingling asked while checking the kitchen’s ingredients.

”Last month,” the manager replied, ”You’re aware of our ingredients; they’ve always been fresh, and we maintain rigorous standards.”

After all, those dining here are wealthy or hold status.

”Let me take another look,” Gu Lingling said, ”If we still can’t find the reason, we’ll have to close temporarily and reassess the situation.”

Closing!

The manager’s expression turned grim, thinking of the financial loss.

”Losing money is better than losing customers,” Gu Lingling knew what he was thinking from his expression.

She walked around the kitchen but found everything was in line with their standards.

”I’ll check the water source,” Gu Lingling said.

”Water source?” The manager was puzzled, ”Our water source has always been the same mountain spring as the Capital City.”

”Do you know where Taoran Inn in the Capital City is located?” Gu Lingling asked with a smile, ”Right at the foot of the mountain.”

Although Taoran Inn in Qin City isn’t in the urban area, leading mountain spring water from Nanshan is quite challenging.

”Since there’s no issue with the ingredients or cooking method, let’s inspect each process step-by-step,” Gu Lingling said and tasted the water.

She frowned.

”Could this water really have an issue?” asked the manager upon seeing her reaction.

”Take people to the water source and see if there’s any nearby change,” Gu Lingling said, ”I remember there was also a water well, right?”

”Yes, we dug the well very deep as required, but we’ve always used the mountain spring water for its quality.”

”Have the chefs cook with the well water and let me taste it,” Gu Lingling said and left.

Behind her, the manager and others were skeptical, ”Manager, do we really have to check the water source?”

It seems like a waste of time.

”We do,” Though the manager doubted Gu Lingling’s words, she was the consultant for Taoran Inn and there wasn’t a better solution now, so they had to give it a try.

Dishes made with well water weren’t as good as those at Taoran Inn in the Capital City but better than the spring water ones.

Only then did the manager truly believe Gu Lingling.

”You’re amazing! You can even taste this?” Mo Hongying admired.

She couldn’t taste the difference at all.

Weren’t all the dishes supposed to be delicious?

Zhang Lanfang was also shocked.

She hadn’t expected the young girl who was younger than them to have such skill.

Not only was she smart and beautiful, but she was also competent.

No wonder she married Yang Yunhai.

A girl like this is bound to attract the attention of outstanding men.
