Reborn into the 70: Turning Adversity into Her Dazzling Path

Chapter 385: Chapter 385: Women are Troublesome

Throughout the morning, Gu Lingling did not see He Jijun. However, Zhang Shiqiang and Liu Zhi, along with the later arriving Tang Qing, took good care of her, explaining what the engineering department does and providing her with some materials to study.

Basically, there wasn’t much else to do.

As for that Tang Wei, he still behaved coldly.

At lunchtime, Gu Lingling took her lunchbox to the agreed meeting place. On the way, she ran into Hao Lianlian, ”How was your morning?”

”Pretty good,” Hao Lianlian replied, ”There’s just one person who’s hard to get along with, always loves to argue with people. How about you?”

”The room is full of male colleagues,” Gu Lingling chuckled, ”But they’re all quite easy to get along with.”

”That’s good, in our department, aside from the head being a man, the rest are women.” Hao Lianlian had just finished speaking when she saw a woman walking over, ”Sister Zheng, going for lunch?”

”Mm.” Sister Zheng responded with a single sound from her nose.

After she walked past, Hao Lianlian stuck her tongue out in the direction of Gu Lingling, ”Is it her?” Gu Lingling asked.

Hao Lianlian nodded, ”I heard she’s Secretary Zheng’s sister or something. Anyway, in the office, she only talks to the head of the department and doesn’t pay much attention to anyone else.”

”Don’t worry about her, just make sure you have good relations with everyone else,” Gu Lingling said.

When they met Zhao Jingmiao, she was already waiting for them, ”How is it, how is it? You didn’t get bullied, did you?”

She had been led around the entire workshop all morning, feeling completely bewildered, but fortunately, the workshop people were nice and quite welcoming.

The three young women gathered together, chirping about their morning experiences and then encouraging each other.

After lunch, Gu Lingling returned to the engineering department, only to find Zhou Qing and Tang Wei anxiously packing their things. Seeing Gu Lingling return, Zhou Qing hurriedly said, ”You finally came back, quickly pack up, we need to head out.”

Heading out? Where to?

”Why are you still standing there?” Zhou Qing had already packed his things, and glanced at Gu Lingling, ”The car outside is already waiting for us.”

Are we going somewhere far?

It was Gu Lingling’s first day, and she had only been given a pen and a notebook. She simply held her things in her hand, and that was it.

”Women are a hassle,” Tang Wei muttered before heading out.

”Let’s go,” Zhou Qing followed closely behind.

Upon getting in the car, Gu Lingling found almost everyone from the engineering department was there.

”Where did you disappear to this morning? We couldn’t find you even after looking everywhere,” Zhang Shiqiang asked quietly when he saw Gu Lingling.

”Went to have lunch,” Gu Lingling replied with her head down.

”Alright, now I’ll brief everyone,” He Jijun said from the front passenger seat, ”There’s a problem at the factory that needs us to solve. The division of work is the same as last time. Lingling, since it’s your first day, just try to adapt, observe, and learn as much as you can. If there’s anything you don’t understand, ask your senior brothers.”

”Let me tell you, Lingling is a junior I specifically poached from the factory. You better not bully her.”

”Director, how could we!” Liu Zhi said with a laugh, ”It’s not easy for a junior sister to join us, it’s only natural for us to care for her, isn’t it?”

”I’ll count on all of you senior brothers to look after me more in the future,” Gu Lingling said with a smile.

Humph...

Tang Wei snorted, turning his head towards the window, ignoring Gu Lingling.

Liu Zhi shrugged at Gu Lingling.
