Chapter 2812: Chapter 1030: Elder Qi, Now Tell Us Your Purpose!

The only way to reach Cloud Peak is through the academy trial held once every three hundred years. The first 100 people to come out of the trial can be teleported to Cloud Peak via the academy’s teleportation array. There’s no other way!” Elder Qi directly told Mo Jiuli and Di Minghan.

”I see, so how long until the next academy trial?” Mo Jiuli asked Elder Qi.

”You arrived at the right time. It’s a hundred years before the academy trial opens, so you can cultivate well at the academy during this time!” Elder Qi commented after glancing at Mo Jiuli and Di Minghan’s strength.

Mo Jiuli and Di Minghan exchanged a glance upon hearing this and felt that the time frame was acceptable. After all, Mo Jiuli’s situation was different now; if the trial was as frequent as in the Cloud Underworld, they might not be able to participate...

”These two tokens are for you. Use your spiritual power to engrave your names on them, then perform blood recognition. The academy will then have your registration information!” Elder Qi said, handing two black tokens to Mo Jiuli and Di Minghan.

Di Minghan took the tokens and immediately engraved the names Shangguan Han and Shangguan Li on them with spiritual power, and both successfully performed blood recognition!

”Elder Qi, please tell us your purpose now!” Mo Jiuli put away the token, smiled, and looked at Elder Qi.

”Cough, cough, I don’t have any particular purpose!” Elder Qi said awkwardly upon hearing this.

”Elder Qi, if you don’t tell us, then my second request will be that you are forbidden from making any requests of me!” Mo Jiuli said with a playful smile.

”No, I’ll talk, I’ll talk!” Elder Qi rolled his eyes at Mo Jiuli and said, ”There’s no big matter, really. Just that some years ago, I, along with another dean and two elders, made a gambling agreement out of boredom. The agreement is that ten years later, our respective disciples will have an alchemy competition. The master of the winning disciple won’t have to manage academy affairs for fifty years, but the master of the losing disciple must take over the winner’s tasks. For example, I am responsible for admissions, so if I lose and the elder in charge of disciple missions wins, I’ll have to handle both admissions and the tasks for fifty years. Just thinking about it is unbearable! So, Little Girl, you can’t let me lose!” Elder Qi looked at Mo Jiuli expectantly.

”But, Elder Qi, I just want to ask, isn’t there any other elder in the academy? Why is a dean like you in charge of admissions?” Mo Jiuli asked curiously.

”Of course there are. Other elders are busy as well, so naturally, I can’t just sit around!” Elder Qi said a bit sheepishly.

He was afraid to tell Mo Jiuli and Di Minghan that the academy only had a handful of deans and elders, fearing it would scare them away...

Di Minghan and Mo Jiuli didn’t think too much about it, as the actions of strong people aren’t always understandable, so they didn’t ask further, allowing Elder Qi to breathe a sigh of relief...

”Let’s go. From now on, you don’t need to call me mentor. Calling me Elder Qi is more intimate. I’ll take you to your accommodations!” Elder Qi said happily, looking at the Jiuli Couple.

Mo Jiuli nodded, and Elder Qi took out his token.
