Chapter 2811: Chapter 1029: Encountering Elder Qi Again (Part 4)

Since you are my disciples, you can stay in my courtyard from now on! Although the location of my courtyard is quiet, I cannot ensure that no one will disturb you. After all, the academy is a free place. If someone insists on bothering you, I can’t always watch over you all!” Elder Qi simply said to Mo Jiuli and Di Minghan.

”Elder Qi, there isn’t an arena in the academy, right?” Mo Jiuli asked, thinking of something.

”That’s right, there’s no arena here. So if you have enemies outside and they come to the academy to kill you, we won’t stop them. The academy is not responsible for the safety of any disciple; everyone survives on their own strength! Hence, if you’re challenged and killed, it’s because you’re weak! If you’re challenged and kill the other person, that means you’re strong!” Elder Qi said.

Mo Jiuli understood now. Because the population in the Cloud Upperworld is sparse, the rules here are simple and brutal: the strong do as they please while the weak are at their mercy, and whoever is powerful rules...

”Then, Elder Qi, of the seven requests you agreed to, perhaps only one has been fulfilled, right? In that case, the rest shouldn’t count. As a Dean, you wouldn’t go back on your word, right?” Mo Jiuli said to Elder Qi with a smile.

”How can that be? You agreed to it yourself, I didn’t force you!” Elder Qi immediately refused.

”That’s because I just got to the academy and didn’t know the rules. If I had known earlier, would I have been so foolish?” Mo Jiuli said helplessly.

”At most, I’ll count three for you!” Elder Qi negotiated, thinking who knows what else this little girl will ask for!

”No way, at most two, or else just one! If you don’t agree, we’ll leave...” Mo Jiuli threatened Elder Qi.

”You... you... fine, two it is!” Elder Qi looked helplessly at Mo Jiuli and said.

”Elder Qi, why don’t you first give us an overview of the academy, otherwise, if I make another request, it will be like the situation just now. I’m very doubtful of Elder Qi’s sincerity in wanting to take us as disciples!” Mo Jiuli said to Elder Qi.

”You...”

”Alright, actually, the academy has no requirements. As I’ve told you, the Cloud Upperworld is different from the Cloud Underworld and the Cloud Middle World. People from the Cloud Upperworld, once they come to the academy, are either top experts or have insufficient strength but great talent. Regardless, anyone who comes to the academy genuinely wishes to go to Cloud Peak, and they possess the heart of a strong person aspiring to reach higher and farther, which is why they come to Yuhai Academy! Of course, I’m talking about most people, but there are a few who are purely curious, or are bored and seek a sense of presence here! Over time, you’ll understand more!

As for the academy’s requirements, there is nothing specific to be aware of. After entering the academy, you will receive a token similar to those in the Cloud Underworld’s academies, symbolizing your identity and acting as your soul token. Should you fall anywhere, the academy token with your name engraved on it will instantly dissipate! Anyone without an academy token will be blocked by the academy’s barrier. Those who possess an academy token can walk freely, bypassing any barrier within the academy!

And the method to head to Cloud Peak is singular, through the once-in-three-centuries Academy Trial,
