Chapter 2579: Chapter 797: Academy Rules

”Besides this, fights are permitted within the Academy. The Challenge Arena is the most common place for resolving issues, be it wanting to occupy someone else’s residence, seize someone else’s resources, or settle personal grudges and grievances, all can be solved in a duel at the Academy’s arena! The Academy’s arena is a Life and Death Arena, and once you are challenged by the other party, you cannot refuse. The challenger will step onto the arena and call out your name; after initiating the challenge, you have no right to refuse. Whether you are cultivating or doing something else, as long as you are within the Academy, you will be directly teleported opposite the arena. If you have matters outside the Academy, upon your return, you will be teleported to the arena immediately. Of course, if you are engaged in pill refining, artifact refinement, or beast training, the arena will automatically enter waiting mode, and you will be teleported once your tasks are completed. Additionally, if you enter the Cloud Middle World through the Academy Competition, any pending arena challenges will automatically disappear, and your name will no longer appear on the arena...” Elder Shiqi continued.

”Elder Shiqi, does this arena challenge apply to everyone in the Academy? Such as the Dean or yourselves?” Mo Jiuli curiously asked Elder Shiqi.

”That’s right, it applies equally to everyone within the Academy!” Elder Shiqi replied.

”Understood.” Mo Jiuli nodded upon hearing this.

”The rest involves your daily activities. There is no money trade within the Academy, currency is not used in the Cloud Underworld. Trading relies on bartering goods; if you fancy something or want to purchase it, you must exchange it for something the other party desires. The sole currency within the Academy is points; all expenditure, cultivation, medicinal materials, artifact refinement, etc., requires points for survival. Without points, survival becomes difficult, and you might even starve! Points are acquired simply by completing the Academy’s missions. You can visit the Mission Hall to take on tasks within your capabilities. Another way to gain points is by seizing others’ points; for example, if you possess a hundred thousand points and another person does not, you can use any means to seize or trick or even steal their token to transfer the points to your own token. This is also viable! Your tokens must recognize you through blood; besides being a teleportation token within the Academy, it also symbolizes your identity. If you fall during an arena challenge or training, the token will turn to dust along with your soul. In a sense, the token represents your soul and spirit! To transfer someone else’s points to your own token, simply check the other party’s points with soul power and use soul power to transfer the points to your token...” Elder Shiqi explained thoroughly.

”Apart from what I have mentioned, there is one more aspect—factions. You might have heard before arriving at the Academy, factions are prevalent within the Academy. If you want to establish your own faction, it also requires points, and earning points might be faster with a faction. However, it’s optional; not everyone in the Academy joins a faction.
