Chapter 804: Chapter 105: Cannibal Flower Sea

Chapter 105

The five people continued on with caution and care for a stretch when suddenly Mo Jiuli stopped, and Guyan and the others stopped as well...

A cloud of Purple Light flew out from the back of Mo Jiuli’s hand, besides Guyan, the White Tiger trio looked on at the Purple Light in amazement...

”That is Jiuli’s Contract Beast, a Cannibal Flower!” Guyan explained upon seeing the puzzled looks from Xue Luo and the others.

”Jiuli, is there something wrong?” Guyan asked, looking at Mo Jiuli’s serious expression.

”Look ahead of you!” Mo Jiuli said, frowning as she gazed forward.

Upon hearing this, Guyan and the other four raised their heads to look ahead, only to see a stretch of blood-red that had suddenly appeared in the forest where there had been nothing before—a vast sea of Cannibal Flowers had inexplicably appeared about ten meters ahead of them...

If Mo Jiuli hadn’t stopped them just now, they would have completely failed to notice it, and if they had walked into it, they would have been reduced to nothing but bones...

A cold sweat broke out in the hearts of the four, grateful that Mo Jiuli was there, or else they would have been devoured by the Cannibal Flowers, leaving nothing behind...

Mo Jiuli also felt a shock at the sight of the vast sea of Cannibal Flowers before her, and she noticed a wisp of black fog on the flowers. She wasn’t sure if Guyan and the others could see it, but she saw it very clearly...

”Master, there’s something wrong with these Cannibal Flowers!” Little Book’s voice came through.

”Hmm, I’ve also noticed an aura from these Cannibal Flowers that I’m familiar with. It seems to be the aura of Dark attribute dark energy, but why would it exist within Cannibal Flowers?” Mo Jiuli said, somewhat puzzled.

”I think there might be something beneath this sea of Cannibal Flowers, which is why it’s like this!” Little Book conjectured.

”Hmm, that’s possible!” Mo Jiuli nodded. She still had one doubt in her mind, these Cannibal Flowers seemed unable to leave this place.

Logically speaking, that shouldn’t be the case. The Cannibal Flower is the King of Flowers among Plant Magical Beasts, adept at hiding and moving extremely fast. They can grow in any soil, and because they feed on members of the Human Clan and Beast Clan, their Cultivation progresses extremely quickly...

Moreover, generally, if there is one Cannibal Flower King present, there will be a group of Cannibal Flowers, which makes them very troublesome to both humans and beasts encountered...

Not only did these Cannibal Flowers carry the aura of Dark attribute, but they also seemed to be trapped here. The question was, why?

”Master, the Cannibal Flower King says that it and its subjects are trapped here. A hundred years ago, they accidentally came to this place and have since been unable to move at all. Moreover, a corrosive gas seeps from the land underground here, causing their dark energy to slowly dissipate. Fortunately, for some reason, this place seems to cloak their presence. Anybody passing by would never detect them and walk directly into their mouths. It’s thanks to those who inadvertently fed them over the years that they have survived until now. Even so, one third of its subjects have been reduced!” Yun Xia flew back to Mo Jiuli’s hand and reported.

”So that’s how it is. It looks like there really is something underground. Tell them not to attack us; we’ll go down and take a look!” Mo Jiuli considered, then said.

”Of course, Master!” After Yun Xia responded, she flew out again.

”Beneath this sea of Cannibal Flowers...” Mo Jiuli repeated Yun Xia’s words: ”You all wait here; I’m going to take a look down below!”
