Miracle Doctor Baby

Chapter 57: 57. Serves them right to die!

The others who had regained consciousness were not clear about the situation. They noticed Third Elder was unconscious again, and cautiously watched Baobao fearing what this little devil would do next...

However, evidently not interested in them, Baobao glanced at them briefly before returning to Mo Jiuli’s side. Baobao then addressed the stunned Great Elder and said, ”He started it, insulting my mom. So don’t expect my mom to save him again...”

This meant the predicament Third Elder found himself in was his own doing, in no way related to them...

Second Elder moved over to Third Elder and after conducting a brief check, discovered that Third Elder was poisoned, and with an extremely potent poison at that. Even if the Alchemy Guild could cure Third Elder’s poisoning, he would be rendered useless for the rest of his life, unable to cultivate, let alone refine pills...

What shocked Second Elder was that the poison inside Third Elder’s body originated from their Alchemy Guild. However, it didn’t come from the Fengyun City branch, but from the Alchemy Guild Headquarters...

This particular poison was said to have been lost to the world thousands of years ago. The reason he knew about it was because the Alchemy Guild’s records contained the antidote formula for this poison...

Although there was no formula for making this poison, consequences and symptoms of being poisoned were recorded...

After completing his check, Second Elder alternated his gaze between Mo Jiuli and Baobao, especially Baobao, with a hint of curiosity and inquiry...

The Great Elder always had a displeasure for Third Elder. Hearing Baobao’s words, he didn’t bother questioning it. Instead, he noticed that the Alchemists under the command of Third Elder were all well and stable...

He waved his hand and announced, ”Rest assured, he brought it on himself. If he dies, he had it coming! And to the rest of you, if any of you dare tarnish the reputation of our Alchemy Guild again, don’t blame me for not being courteous. All of you go back to pill refining now. Without my permission, no one is allowed to leave...”

Despite not understanding why the Great Elder was so irate, everyone knew it wasn’t the time to ask. One by one, they bowed ceremonially and scurried out of the room...

In an instance, the spacious reception room was only left with the Great Elder, Second Elder, and Mo Jiuli...

”Since I have helped you treat your people, you should hand over the Netherworld Grass to me now...” Mo Jiuli ignored Great Elder’s passionate gaze, spoke directly.

”Little girl, can you first tell me, what do you need the Netherworld Grass for?” The Great Elder, refusing to give up, asked.

”Refining pills...”

”Oh? What kind of pills are you planning to make?”

”It’s a secret...”

Great Elder...

He was aware that most alchemists treat their pill refining process as top-secret, but, he really wanted to know the details, desperately...

”What? Are you planning to go back on your promise?” Mo Jiuli asked, raising her eyebrow at the Great Elder.

”How could that be? I just wanted to know what kind of pill you’d refine with the Netherworld Grass. I’d never go back on my word! Here, take it, take it...” Great Elder responded after glaring at Mo Jiuli, speaking stubbornly.

He took out a brocade box from his ring and reluctantly gave it to Mo Jiuli...

Without further ado, Mo Jiuli took the brocade box, opened it, and found a pitch-dark herb lying inside. It was the Netherworld Grass she needed...

Mo Jiuli closed the box satisfactorily and put the Netherworld Grass in her ring. Turning to the Great Elder, she continued, ”There’s one more thing, after I finish testing my Alchemy Level, you have to follow me to treat a patient...”
