Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

”Fine,” Arafunn said, his eyes sharpening with focused determination. ”While Zack and Luck are busy handling their own battles, we can’t afford to stand idle. We have to pull our own weight and carve open a path for them. Right?”

Ninhursag furrowed her brows, her expression turning deadly serious. Even in her current state, her towering chimeric form was a sight that inspired both awe and terror. She had become a colossal fusion of countless monstrous traits — sleek wyvern scales that shimmered with iridescent menace, flickering flames of a sacred flame bird dancing across her shoulders, the raw muscular power of a three-headed lion beast coursing through her limbs, and the unyielding defensive might of an ancient titan turtle reinforcing her core. Her living great-axe pulsed violently in her grip, glowing with the stolen life force and essence of every monster she had devoured so far.

”I will take this one...!” she roared.

With explosive force, Ninhursag leaped forward toward the shattered remains of the massive obsidian Drake. Her aura surged and transformed mid-air into the shape of an enormous, ethereal beast jaw that snapped down upon the corpse. In mere seconds, she devoured the entire draconic body, bones, scales, and all. The surrounding monsters watched in utter disbelief, their grotesque faces twisting with shock and primal fear at the horrifying display.

Using her newly evolved and fully awakened Skinchanger Physique, she rapidly absorbed the drake’s immense power. The process that had once been limited and gradual was now swift and overwhelming. After completing the brutal Trial of her Ancestors alongside Zack and Luck — a trial she could never have survived without their unwavering support — Ninhursag, the last remaining Skinchanger, had finally awakened her true bloodline. She inherited the collective strength, knowledge, and legacies of every predecessor who came before her, evolving into something far beyond what her tribe had ever dreamed possible.

This hard-earned power, forged through the most dangerous and life-threatening experience of her entire existence, was now fully hers.

”Myriad Pelts Physique!”

A simple name for an ability of limitless potential. Ninhursag had become quite literally boundless in her transformations. Previously, she could only partially consume a monster to mimic its form, and she was restricted by how many different forms she could maintain at once. Those restrictions were now gone. The only remaining requirement was gluttonous consumption — the more completely she devoured her prey, the stronger and more perfect the resulting form would become. Small pieces no longer sufficed.

Alongside this awakening, she had also gained Skinchanger Spirit Magic, allowing her to channel the lingering souls and residual strengths of devoured monsters as loyal spirit entities born directly from her own soul. The more she consumed, the more powerful these spirits grew.

She was no longer the same warrior she had been.

”Now... Myriad Pelts Physique, Change!”

Of course, even this immense power had its limits. Her body still suffered from exhaustion, finite energy reserves, and the accumulating strain of maintaining multiple high-level transformations. At her current level, Ninhursag estimated she could safely absorb one or two more major monsters before needing to rest — likely collapsing into unconsciousness afterward from the overwhelming backlash.

Furthermore, if she failed to actively use each form regularly, their power would gradually fade. Yet this limitation came with a glorious new ability: her current ultimate state, the Myriad Pelt Chimera Queen Transformation. By channeling as many forms as her physique could withstand simultaneously, she could obtain a truly tremendous and overwhelming surge of power.

Just like Pyuku, who stood as the undisputed champion of slimes with his unique limitless evolution, Ninhursag had become the pinnacle of her kind. As the final descendant and living vessel of her entire tribe’s hopes, discoveries, efforts, and perseverance across countless eons, she had reached a level equal to the heroes themselves — all without receiving any external blessing or divine favor.

Within her soul, the Myriad Pelt Physique resonated with a brilliant spark of light. It was the condensed essence of her ancestors’ love, their unyielding hard work, their sacrifices, and above all, their undying hope.

FLASH!

Her body erupted with radiant light. Bone armor and reinforced scales rapidly grew across her form. Lolth’s curse, which had once threatened to consume her, was now fully assimilated and transformed into a powerful asset, manifesting as glowing purple crystals of concentrated miasma and curses that reinforced every inch of her body.

Inside her, the ancestral spark burned brighter than ever. The auras and roaring spirits of every monster she had devoured surged outward like a tidal wave. Among them, the powerful presence of the obsidian Drake roared dominantly, pushing back the other boss monsters and temporarily shattering their coordinated formation.

”It’s now or never!” Ninhursag shouted, gripping her living great-axe tightly and infusing it with the combined fury of her beast spirits.

Arafunn smiled softly beside her, nodding with silent approval. He too had grown tremendously through their shared experiences. While his path could never fully merge with the Myriad Pelts Physique or the unique variations that Zack and Luck had mastered, he had still received a precious gift. As gratitude from the ancient ancestor spirit of the Skinchangers after the boys completed the trial, Arafunn had learned to channel and manifest the more primal forms of music and the very spirits of nature itself. He could now weave these forces into his living symphonies with greater mastery than ever before.

He had also grown closer to the woman fighting beside him — a dear friend he once thought impossible due to her initially stiff and solitary personality. She had even jokingly told him once that if he were a man, she might have fallen for him. The remark had made Ninhursag a little sad at the time, but now they both remembered it fondly and laughed about it together.

Romance had never been in the cards. Arafunn simply wasn’t interested in women. Yet the deep friendship they had forged while teaching and protecting their beloved disciples had strengthened their bond enough that their powers could now harmonize beautifully.

Thus...

”Let’s begin,” Arafunn said calmly.

Ninhursag connected her raging aura with his, unleashing a thunderous chorus of beastly roars.

”Primal Resonance — Act I: Apex Symphony!”

A magnificent and terrifying symphony of apex predators exploded across the battlefield, shaking the very air itself.

Arafunn chuckled lightly under his breath, a playful thought crossing his mind. ”Fufu, to think everyone would end up learning a little about music... That boy Zack, despite how much he used to hate it, has become a masterful student of Melody Magic. Yet he barely uses it. Even though its range and versatility are massive, he still prefers charging in with the brutal combat techniques he learned from Ninhursag, his adoptive mother... Wait, does that make me his adoptive father now?”
