Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

“{Divine Holy Golden Flame Spirit Formation Arts}: {Purifying Sacred Flame Inferno}!”

FLUOOOSH!

Golden flames surged in that instant. Shade’s eyes widened as the golden flames engulfed him from every direction, concentrating and compacting around his body before unleashing a massive explosion he couldn’t escape.

BOOOMMM!

The explosion was immense, leaving a gaping hole in the ground, with the Saintess hovering at its center. Shade was nowhere to be seen, hurled away by the blazing shockwave’s force.

“Oh my, well, that’s a shocker. It turns out the Human Hero wasn’t that strong after all.”

As the Saintess laughed, a shadow materialized behind her. Shade emerged out of nowhere, like a specter that simply could not die.

“An instant formation-type magic, very advanced. Reminds me of Faylen. Good thing I’m experienced with such magic thanks to her.”

“…?!”

Her eyes widened, seeing Shade completely unscathed. He vanished swiftly, reappearing above her and attacking relentlessly.

“Let’s try something different.”

His hands transformed into shadows, merging with Vulcan’s Spiritual Power as he suddenly sprouted the eight arms the Weapon Master wielded.

However, instead of various weapons, each arm held the Abyssal Dragon Fang Dagger, his Divine Soul Weapon Manifestation.

“{Abyssal Assassination Arts}: {One Thousand Abyssal Spatial Stabs}!”

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

A barrage of piercing, stabbing blows struck the Saintess’ barrier. This time, Shade didn’t slash but stabbed directly, combining his sheer physical power with Vulcan’s spiritual energy. An explosion of black and red flames erupted, with phantasmal and cursed energies infiltrating the holes in the barrier, eroding its defenses.

“T-This…!”

The Saintess panicked as a formation activated beneath her. Pure golden flames erupted, engulfing both Shade and herself instantly.

BOOOMMM!

“Hahahaha! Did you think I panicked?”

She laughed as her barrier absorbed the flames and instantly restored itself. Her healing powers even rejuvenated her own barrier.

And yet…

“She had a formation prepared beneath herself, and her barrier can heal with her magic… Well, that’s troublesome, perhaps.”

Shade abandoned his close-range attack pattern and stood at a distance. The Saintess realized he had once again evaded her assault.

“You’re good at running away from danger, huh? Are all humans this pathetic, or are you the exception?”

“{Abyssal Shadow Void Magic}: {All-Devouring Abyssal Maws}!”

“…?!”

The Saintess’ eyes widened as she realized a sea of darkness had enveloped her in that moment. Somehow, Shade had seeded those shadows in preparation for a spell.

The spell manifested instantly. Giant maws emerged, crushing the barrier and the Saintess within. Their sharp fangs pierced the barrier’s walls, shattering them like glass.

Crack, crack…!

CRAAASH!

“It’s futile!”

The Saintess roared angrily. An explosion of golden flames burst forth, burning through the shadows as she soared into midair on her long butterfly wings. Her barrier, composed entirely of compressed golden flames, radiated sacred and holy power, infused with her mother’s divine spiritual energy and her strongest blessing.

“{Divine Holy Golden Flame Spirit Formation Arts}: {Sacred Holy Flame Serpents}!”

Her barrier trembled as dozens of golden flame serpents emerged one after another, rushing toward Shade and pursuing him as he nimbly evaded by leaping from one place to another.

“Stop running and confront me!”

As she roared angrily, Shade smiled faintly. He was being told to confront a foe head-on when he was an assassin? That was like asking a cat to bark. It was simply not in his nature, let alone to take damage if he could avoid it.

Assassins were stealthy, silent, and precise. They struck to kill, not to engage in battle, and were trained to avoid any contact with a foe. They were honed to become perfect killing machines.

“I am not running.”

FLASH!

“Huh?!”

The Saintess gasped, realizing Shade had appeared above her. His multiple spiritual shadow specter arms unified their divine soul weapons, forming a massive, blazing black hammer.

This was Vulcan’s technique!

“{Divine Spiritual Soul Weapon Master Arts}: {Spirit Soul Weapon Fusion: Abyssal Hammer of Demise}!”

TRUUUM!

The hammer struck the giant barrier, spreading countless cracks across it more effectively than any prior attack. Shade never limited himself to daggers if they proved ineffective. He would use any weapon available as long as it fulfilled the purpose of killing.

“Y-YOU…!”

The Saintess grew furious. Multiple magic circles materialized in midair, attempting to ensnare Shade in destructive, explosive formations of golden holy flames.

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!

However, Shade nimbly evaded each one, teleporting through the shadows surrounding him. The cave’s darkness made it effortless to maneuver, thanks to the abundant shadows available.

At the precise moment, Shade seized his opportunity. He swung the hammer with immense force, striking the Saintess’ barrier, spreading more cracks and demolishing additional layers.

Constantly shifting from one place to another, he intercepted the spherical barrier, having thrown her down moments before.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

The barrier began to give way rapidly. Cracks widened, shattering further with every blow. Fragments of the barrier, resembling glass, fell to the ground below and erupted into golden flames.

“UUUGGGH! STOOOOP!”

The Saintess grew furious. Her Aura finally manifested. No, it was more than an Aura—a Beast Aura, roaring mightily and resembling a colossal, blazing golden butterfly.

“KRIEEEEHHH!”

The butterfly charged at Shade, unleashing a spiraling inferno of golden flames, forcing him downward with an explosive tackle.

BOOOMMM!

“Heh… Heheheheh! Face the power of my—”

SLAAASH!

Before she could finish, her Beast Aura was cleaved into two halves by a concentrated slash attack. The hammer Shade wielded transformed into a long katana.

BOOOM!

As the Beast Aura Embodiment exploded behind him, Shade reached the Saintess. He swung the katana upward, slicing through her weakened barrier and shattering it.

“…Eh?”

The Blazing Ant Saintess’ golden eyes stared at the scene in disbelief. Her slender and shiny body was sliced into two halves as Shade’s sharp Katana easily cleaved and destroyed her without any mercy, his eyes glowing bright red with immense bloodlust.

“It looks like stacking Divine Soul Weapons with Vulcan’s Spiritual Soul Weapons creates something truly monstrous. I have to thank you for helping me learn a new technique.”

“UUUUAAAGGGHHH!”
