Reincarnated With A Glitched System: Why Is My MP Not Running Out?

—–

“Now then, is everyone ready? We should quickly get this over with. I can sense powerful presences down there. The Queen most likely has several strong generals. This could be a good opportunity for all of you to train and grow stronger, especially you and your friends, Aquarina,” Shade said.

“G-Generals?” Silvia asked. “What does that mean? Can ants have generals? But they’re ants!”

“Huh?” Agua was also confused.

“Yes, they can have generals,” Shade said, facing the blazing interior of the nest. “It’ll be very hot down there. Agua, Aquarina, we’ll need your strongest Water and Ice Spells to counter the heat. We’re counting on you two.”

“Yeah, you can handle that, right?” Nepheline smiled. “You haven’t become stronger for nothing, no?”

“I’ll show you!” Aquarina nodded with a confident smile.

“I-I’ll do my best!” Agua nodded nervously. “With Aquarina here… I think I can do anything too! She has been guiding me this entire time after all…”

“Ehhh? And not us?” Silvia crossed her arms, feeling left out.

“Come on, Silvia, she means in terms of learning magic, right?” Justicio asked.

“Yeah…! Of course, I appreciate you two as well… And Pyuku too!” Agua nodded.

“Ah, I suppose I could help too. My Water Magic is my strongest element,” Pyuku nodded. “And thanks for saying that, Agua. I really value the friendship we’ve built together…”

Shade and Nepheline nodded as they advanced.

“I can sense new ants rushing here. They’ll arrive in a minute,” Nepheline said. “To prevent them from escaping and attacking the oasis, we’ll block this main entrance, alright?”

“I wonder if they have other exits, though?” Silvia asked. “Couldn’t they escape from somewhere else or break through the walls?”

“These walls are heavily fortified. It would take them a while to break through and create a hole,” Nepheline said. “That gives us enough time to eliminate them. We’ll meet them with a powerful attack. Aim to kill as many as possible in as little time as we can, alright?”

“Yeah, sure,” Aquarina nodded, cracking her knuckles as her Aura surged. “Agua, we’ll combine our Auras and cast a super strong spell, alright?”

“Is that possible?” Agua wondered as her Spiritual Aura emerged, blending seamlessly with Aquarina’s.

“It should be. We’ve trained together for some time,” Aquarina nodded.

As she prepared and the ground rumbled with the approaching ants, Aquarina noticed messages appearing in her system.

“Oh, nice! Now I just need to find a Tier 9 Monster and the Earth Spirit Stones. High Quality stones like those aren’t easy to find, but maybe my mom can help me get them? If she can create any type of Spirit Stone…” Aquarina thought for a moment. “In my stash, I have some darkness, water, and ice stones, but how much counts as ’one’?”

As she pondered this, she examined several stone fragments, trying to determine which ones counted and what it meant to “gather” them.

Apparently, retrieving them from her shadow inventory was enough to register them. Since she had crushed larger crystals into smaller pieces…

[Gather one hundred High Quality Ice Spirit Stones]: [0/50] -> [50/50] (Complete!)

[Gather one hundred High Quality Water Spirit Stones]: [0/50] -> [50/50] (Complete!)

[Gather one hundred High Quality Darkness Spirit Stones]: [0/50] -> [50/50] (Complete!)

[Gather one hundred High Quality Earth Spirit Stones]: [0/50]

“Eh?! Those count then?!”

Apparently, a “stone” was roughly the size of an apple! She had mined giant crystals from various locations, such as the oasis itself and other spirit stone gathering spots near Agartha. There were also many dark crystals in Arachne’s dungeon, which Sylphy had gathered and shared with her.

She only needed Earth Attribute stones, which her mother could help create. The only remaining task was defeating a powerful Tier 9 monster. Hopefully, the strong generals her father mentioned will appear in this incoming wave of ants.

“I even got a new Title and a Skill? Another punching Skill, though? Can’t I combine them?”

As Aquarina considered this, she suddenly saw strange messages…

[…]

[Player Input has been accepted.]

[Do you wish to spend stored EXP to combine Skills?]

[This is a new feature still in development, so results may vary.]

“Huh?!”

RUMBLE!

As Aquarina read the message, she heard the ants. A large swarm approached from below the nest!

“Aquarina! They’re here! Get ready!”

As her mother called out, Aquarina quickly dismissed the messages. She and Agua began conjuring their strongest spell, weaving magic circles and runes together.

FLUOSH!

Aquarina decided to leave what she saw in the System for later, focusing on the incoming battle.
