My Youth Began With Him

The room remained silent. Huo Siqian slowly stood up and walked in front of one of his subordinates.

He was still in his early 20s and was rather handsome.

“Ah-Wang, do you think I treat you well? You were the last to become my brother but I still treat you fairly…”

“Boss, you’re like a parent to me. I would never do anything to betray you…” Ah-Wang rushed to explain himself.

“Oh really? How come I heard you lost eight million at the Horseman gang’s underground casino… I don’t recall you having enough money to repay it…” Huo Siqian said.

The others immediately looked at Ah-Wang with suspicious eyes.

“I… I lost money but I would never betray you, Boss…”

“Really? I don’t think you could still survive so well owing eight million yuan to the Horseman gang… So did you sell the information to the Horseman gang or did you pay back the debt with money you got from Ian?”

“Boss, it’s really not me! I didn’t do it…” Ah-Wang was still unwilling to admit guilt.

“Ah-Wang, if I remember correctly, your son is in grade one now, right? Your wife and mother from your village have moved to that neighborhood at Guizhong South Road, right? I remember buying that apartment for you…”

Ah-Wang immediately kneeled down.

“Boss, I’m really sorry. I didn’t want to betray you but I really couldn’t afford to pay off that debt. I never knew they were Ian’s people. They volunteered to pay off my debt and even gave me more money. I was greedy. I thought that it wouldn’t do you much harm telling them about you and Ms. Huo’s relationship… I was foolish at the moment and blinded by greed…” Ah-Wang finally gave in and confessed.

“Ah-Wang, you son of a b*tch. Boss treated you well but you…” Cheng couldn’t help but kick Ah-Wang.

“Boss, I was really foolish. Please don’t hurt my family! My mother and my wife are both from the village. They don’t know anything. My son is also innocent…”

“So you’re scared now. When I gave you an opportunity to confess just now, why did you not say anything?” Huo Siqian said in an icy tone.

“I-I-I-I… I was scared that, Boss, you would kill me…”

“You f*cking coward!” Huo Siqian cursed.

At first, Huo Siqian didn’t suspect that his people were behind this until Ian took out that picture. That picture came from his personal library and outsiders couldn’t have gotten their hands on it. That was why he knew that someone on the inside betrayed him.

After some investigation, he found out Ah-Wang’s gambling problems…

“Boss, please give me a second chance. I’ll make it up to you… I’ll kill Ian for you, okay?”

“Kill Ian? You…” Huo Siqian laughed hysterically as if this was the funniest thing he had ever heard.

“As long as you don’t kill me, I’ll do anything for you…” Ah-Wang begged on the floor. He hugged Huo Siqian’s leg and begged for his life.

“It’s too late now…”

“Huo Siqian kneeled down and grabbed onto Ah-Wang’s neck with one hand. Then with the other hand, he pierced Ah- Wang’s neck with his swiss army knife.

Immediately, blood burst out of Ah-Wang’s main artery.

The other four subordinates watched with trembling fear. They knew why Huo Siqian did it in front of them all – he was making an example out of Ah-Wang.

“Take him out. He stained my floor already…” Huo Siqian pulled out his swiss knife and used a white handkerchief to wipe the blood on his knife.

Yes, Boss!”

“Boss, should we send someone to monitor Master Ian?” Cheng asked nervously.
