My Youth Began With Him

“Honey, are you busy?”

“No. What’s up?” Qin Chu’s ‘no’ astonished all the executives in the conference room.

They had just finished one-third of their year-end meeting…

Huo Mian called Qin Chu in the midst of their meeting….

But that was fine too because all of GK’s tenured staff knew that Qin Chu loved his wife. As long as Huo Mian asked, he would do anything for her. No matter how busy he was, he was free for his wife. Huo Mian was his world.

“Ni Yang came back and he’s coming over for dinner… Remember the plan I told you last time? Well, we need to help him tonight…”

“Okay.” Qin Chu nodded.

“You still remember the plan right?” Huo Mian had recited the plan to him every night before bed a while ago.

Yet time had passed and she didn’t know if he still remembered.

“Yes, I remember, Honey.” Qin Chu’s voice was extremely gentle.

“Okay. Can you come home earlier today to help get ready?”

“No problem.”

“Then I’ll let you get back to work. Bye.”

“See you in a bit.” Qin Chu looked at her with tenderness and love.

All the female executives looked extremely envious.

They envied how Huo Mian had a husband that loved her so much and yet they knew what miracles Huo Mian created in the three years when she was president of the company. To the public though, they only saw how rich and handsome Qin Chu was but rarely were they able to see what a great person Huo Mian was. Most people did not understand that only the best can be with the best.

Qin Chu came home at 5:30 PM sharp.

The twins ran flying towards Qin Chu.

“Daddy, welcome home. Work must have been rough. I want a hug!” Little Bean was a people-pleaser as always.

“Thank you Little Bean. Also, Daddy doesn’t think work is rough…” Qin Chu said lovingly.

“Daddy, your shirt looks really good today. I’ll give you 100 likes!” Pudding looked at her daddy’s shirt and realized that the black and white striped shirt was the same as the one Yang Yang wore in “Love O2O”.

It was from a famous luxury leisure brand. Qin Chu wore it nicely. He looked very young in it.

You could not tell that Qin Chu was in his 30s.

“Mommy chose it for me…” Qin Chu smiled.

“Huh? Looks like Mommy’s taste has been improving…” Pudding sounded a bit shocked.

Little Bean laughed with her hands over her mouth. “Yup. Mommy’s taste used be like those ones from the countryside. The clothes she used to pick out for daddy looked hilarious! They looked like some uniform from a factory…”

“Who’s bad mouthing me?” Huo Mian pretended to be mad: she came out from the kitchen with her hands over her hips.

“Mommy, Pudding and I are praising your taste! How are you able to make Daddy look so handsome? You were able to make a dad figure look like a young man… Aren’t you worried that Daddy would be taken away from you though?” Little Bean teased.

“Of course not. I believe in my husband,” Huo Mian said confidently.

“Mommy, I’ll give you a big thumbs up for showing off your love but can we eat yet? I’m hungry…” Little Bean rubbed her chubby tummy.

“Someone’s being too much of a foodie again… Didn’t that incident with Handsome Su teach you a lesson?” Pudding glared at Little Bean.

“Handsome Su said I shouldn’t eat random food but he didn’t say I can’t have dinner… Sis, don’t you think you’re being too harsh?”

The twins were fighting about food again.

Suddenly, the doorbell sounded and the maid opened the door. Chen Jie was in a red wine-colored coat.

She was standing outside with a lot of presents.

“Hello Auntie Jie, you are finally here!” The twins immediately ran over and held Chen Jie’s hand ardently.
