My Youth Began With Him

Qin Chu lowered his head and found that the timer had started already.

There were eighteen minutes left…

“A timed bomb?” Qin Chu heard a bang in his brain.

He immediately turned around and saw that Huo Mian’s timer started as well…

There were two identical black boxes with eighteen minutes on the timer.

Qin Chu didn’t have time to think much and immediately called Gao Ran.

“Chu, what’s going on on your end?”

“Find me a bomb expert as soon as possible! Hurry!”

“A bomb expert?” Gao Ran was completely dumbfounded.

“There are timed bombs strapped to Mian and the kid. There are only eighteen minutes left. Hurry…”

“Damn it…” This time, even Gao Ran couldn’t mind his image anymore and swore loudly.

He initially thought that it was just a bad kidnapping, he didn’t think that there would be a high-level technology like timed bombs involved.

“Quickly, get me our best bomb experts… Hurry!” Gao Ran yelled at his subordinates, scaring them to the point where they didn’t even dare to breathe loudly.

Qin Chu carefully put down Little Bean, held her face, and comforted her, “Little Bean, it’s okay. Daddy found some experts. After we get it off, we’ll go home. Okay? Pudding is waiting for you.”

“Mhm, I trust you, Daddy.”

Little Bean was still young, she was only three. She didn’t know what the timed bomb and eighteen minutes meant.

So, she was much calmer when she saw her daddy.

Qin Chu turned around and walked to Huo Mian’s side.

He pulled Huo Mian into a tight embrace…

“Honey…” Huo Mian didn’t know what to say and kept on crying.

“Don’t cry, I’m here.” Qin Chu patted her back to comfort her.

“Honey, I’m sorry. I messed up again, I shouldn’t have come out without you… I was scared that Huo Siyi would hurt our kids…” Huo Mian blamed herself and regretted everything. However, there was not much she could do.

“Don’t explain, I know… You’re not wrong, I don’t blame you. I already called Gao Ran, don’t worry. They’ll get the bomb squad here soon…”

“Mhm.” Huo Mian nodded and let go of Qin Chu’s neck.

Qin Chu got up and walked to Huo Siyi, violently holding him up by pulling his hair…

“How do I take off the explosives?”

“Haha, do you really think I’ll say?” Huo Siyi laughed maniacally.

Enraged, Qin Chu beat up Huo Siyi again who was already beaten beyond recognition.

This time, he almost beat the breath out of him…

At that time, Qin Chu finally noticed Huo Siqian on the ground…

He was too weak to speak and only had a wisp of consciousness left.

“Huo Siqian, very well… We’ll take care of all of our differences today.” After speaking, Qin Chu picked up a knife.

He was about to stab Huo Siqian…

“Honey, stop,” Huo Mian called to him.

“Mian, are you pitying him?” Qin Chu turned around and gave Huo Mian a complicated look.

“No, it’s not pity. I don’t want you to become a murderer. We would be no different from him if you do… Do you know? If Huo Siqian didn’t purposefully anger Huo Siyi, I wouldn’t be alive now… Even though he’s a terrible person, he protected me. I trust that he’ll receive punishment for his crimes, we just have to make them known to the public… You don’t have to dirty your hands for him.” Huo Mian didn’t want to see Qin Chu kill, especially in front of Little Bean.

Qin Chu finally understood what Huo Mian meant. He realized that he was too impulsive.

He turned around to see Little Bean looking at him with an innocent look. He couldn’t act on his impulses.

Thinking of that, he slowly put down the knife.

He pulled Huo Mian and Little Bean into a hug as they sat together waiting for the rescue team’s arrival.

The time ticked by, and Gao Ran arrived when there were eight minutes left.

They brought in the bomb-defusing experts…

“Chu, we’re here.”

Gao Ran rushed in with a large number of police officers as well as three experts from the bomb-defusing team.

“Get the bombs off first.” Qin Chu was about to go crazy from anxiety.
