My Youth Began With Him

“Which one of your eyes told you that I liked him… seriously.” Zhu Lingling still maintained her ‘in-denial’ attitude.

“Lingling…”

“What?”

“How should I put this? The joke remains a joke, but as your best friend, I still need to say something to you,” Huo Mian spoke in all seriousness.

“Tell me,” Zhu Lingling immediately replied.

Huo Mian said again, “In our lifetime, not many get the chance to meet someone they like who likes them back. If you meet someone like that, then how tragic would it be if you missed out on him in the end because of trivial reasons? If you accept this relationship, then even if you two don’t end up together in the end, you won’t regret anything, because you’ve already experienced it. When you’re old, you won’t regret dating someone; rather, you’ll regret not dating someone.”

“Mian…” Faced with such a serious Huo Mian, Zhu Lingling suddenly didn’t know what to say.

“Lingling, I’m not trying to get you and Gao Ran together, I just want to say that if you like him, and he likes you as well, then why don’t you try it out? Life isn’t short, nor is it long, but once you miss out on something or someone, it might be forever. Remember Liu Rene’s song, Later ? We used to love that song in high school. Do you remember my favorite lyrics in that song?”

Zhu Lingling was slightly convinced, as her voice trembled when she sang back, “Later, we finally learned how to love, but you’ve already disappeared into the crowd. Later, I finally realized in my tears that some people won’t be around once you let them slip away.”

“So I won’t interfere too much in your relationship, I just don’t want you to be left with any regrets when you’re older.”

“I know.”

“Anyways, I have to go now. I have to get ready to go home, I’m super sleepy.”

“Drive safely on your way back.”

“Okay.”

Huo Mian hung up the phone and exhaustingly stood up. She took off her white lab coat and changed into her little trench coat.

Then, she took her bag and walked out of the hospital…

However, as soon as she stepped out the entrance, she was shocked by the cars parked outside…

There were plenty of cars that weren’t there before, parked messily all around Huo Mian’s car.

Plus, they all violated parking regulations and completely trapped Huo Mian’s car inside.

No one, not even a magician could help her get her car out unless the car had wings. Then, it might be able to fly out…

Huo Mian angrily walked up to the two race cars behind her own car…

There was a flame-red Ferrari, but since Huo Mian didn’t know much about luxurious cars, she didn’t know which model it was.

She only saw that these two Ferraris had blocked her way of backing out…

However, she suddenly noticed a card on the back on the car, which had the car owner’s number written on it.

Seemed like this car owner still had some decency, at least he or she left a number…

Huo Mian angrily picked up her phone and dialed that number. “Hi, your car is blocking mine. I’m in a rush to back out of my spot, please come out and cooperate with me.”

No one spoke on the other end of the phone, and they hung up as soon as Huo Mian finished speaking.

– Five minutes later –

A tall skinny man walked out with a mask covering his mouth, looking quite weak.

“You called?” asked the man coldly.

“Yes.” Huo Mian nodded.

“I will move the car now, you can back out.”

“Thanks.”

Huo Mian then got into her car, and just as she was about to drive it, she was shocked by what she saw when she turned around…

A bunch of girls came out from nowhere and all rushed up with a ‘swoosh’.

Their screams sounded all around…

Huo Mian realized just then that the person she just saw was the currently most popular male idol singer, Ni Yang.

Huo Mian felt bad since he was surrounded by his fans and couldn’t get out, because she asked him to move his car…

She thought for a moment, held up her phone, and dialed the number just she dialed…

“Hello?” The person picked up the phone, his voice remaining extremely cold.

“I have a way to get you out, do you want help?” asked Huo Mian.
