Global Lords: I Have Information System

Secondly, this thing uses breech-loading and features a mechanism akin to a metal screw breech block.

To fire, one must open up the breech and load the bullet.

The barrel possesses clearly engraved rifling, allowing the bullet to spin and enhancing precision and penetration.

This indeed came as a surprise to Zong Shen.

It seems the firearm technology in this world isn’t as backward as he imagined.

The barrel appears silvery white throughout, without any runes inscribed on the surface, just the dense lines left from forging—this is the typical Rune Forging Technology.

Runes are hammered directly into the material itself, endowing it with superior properties without needing additional rune carvings.

Of course, materials enhanced by Rune Forging Technology can still have runes carved on the exterior, allowing them to possess multiple attributes.

This is why the rune forging skill is renowned across the continent.

However, the rune forging materials used in mass-produced equipment typically don’t have additional rune carvings.

Creating dual carvings is a challenging task for magic energy levels.

Only special level masters can complete it.

The Rune Fire Gun in his hand is a product made with single rune material.

This firearm lacks any significant buffering structure; only the rear stock can be used for shoulder shooting.

For otherworldly warriors, especially those stout, dark-skinned dwarf musketeers, recoil is negligible; anything below this level of recoil is trivial.

The trigger and shoulder strap are below, yet no bayonet interface is reserved at the front.

It seems dwarf musketeers do not have the habit of close-range stabbing.

Compared to bayonets, they prefer using axes or one-handed hammers as secondary weapons.

Zong Shen examined the Rune Fire Gun in his hand and began to check its attributes.

[Type IV Rune Fire Gun (Purple)]

[Two-Handed]

[Quality: Rare Level]

[Piercing Damage: 76~79]

[Effective Range: 350 meters]

[Maximum Range: 550 meters]

[Effective Firing Height: 200 meters]

[Effective range does not represent the actual range; within this range, bullet power will not significantly weaken]

[Durability: 500]

[Strength Requirement: 35]

[Agility Requirement: 25]

[Shooting Interval: 5 seconds]

[After continuously firing 60 bullets, the gun barrel will enter an overheated state, requiring 10 minutes to cease firing]

[Forcefully firing in an overheated state will drastically reduce firearm durability]

[Skill: Continuous Fire LV10 (No state required, ignore shooting cooldown, consecutively fire three bullets dealing 1.2 times piercing damage to the target, cooling time 2 hours)]

Passive Skills: Positional Warfare LV5 (Upon entering fortress or positional shooting spot, bullets gain higher precision)]

(This era has changed, my lord)

The Rune Fire Gun is weighty, far exceeding the weight of typical crossbows and long-range weapons.

Its piercing damage is also significantly higher than that of rare-level bows and arrows.

Just as bows and crossbows require arrow consumption, this thing requires bullet consumption for each shot.

Fortunately, the treasure chest is considerate and provides them in batches.

Zong Shen rummaged through the storage grid and retrieved a basketball-sized bag containing a set of triple-armed belts.

Each belt is adorned with several conical bullets.

These bullets’ caliber matches the barrel perfectly.

They appear quite fitting.

Each bullet has a separate shell and base fire.

They seem similar to the ammunition craftsmanship principles on Earth.

Only the raw materials differ.

On Earth, the base fire primarily uses mercuric fulminate with potassium chlorate ignition powder, ensuring a high safety coefficient for fixed base fire.

In this realm, the base fire is a tiny red crystalline chip.

About the size of a fish’s eye.

Zong Shen studied this and drew an alloy bullet from the armed belt to examine its attributes.

[Alloy Bullet with Base Fire (Blue)]

[Quality: Rare Level]

[Piercing Damage: 40]

[Armor Piercing: 15]

(A powerful alloy bullet that requires the appropriate Rune Fire Gun for use

The bullet possesses enormous power, but its cost significantly surpasses that of arrows and crossbow arrows, thus limiting firearms’ overall development. Besides cost, a firearm paired with an exceptional bullet can exhibit power far superior to same-tier crossbows

Moreover, similar to crossbows, after undergoing simplified shooting and aiming training, it can be utilized, albeit hitting accurately still necessitates substantial bullet practice)

”That’s impressive!”

”Just the bullet provides an additional 40 points of piercing damage and 15 points of armor-piercing effect!”

These alloy bullets combined with the [Type IV Rune Fire Gun] can achieve over a hundred points of piercing damage.

Reaching this level of damage without skill assistance is where the encouragement of firearms lies!

In other words, as long as one meets the equipment requirements, a simply trained warrior can become an amateur musketeer with noteworthy long-range killing ability.

However, the strategy is correct; due to differences in materials and craftsmanship.

This leads to a high cost for otherworld version firearms, with more complex craftsmanship.

Yet the principle remains roughly the same.

This highlights the importance of material science in advancing technology.

Even as he researches firearms, Zong Shen must strive to align with Earth’s technology tree.

But this ultimately cannot be rushed and should be promoted from two aspects to advance the plan.

First, it’s crucial to gather related talents as much as possible from the Endless Continent.

Secondly, take measures from the Lords.

Seek out some original technical talents.

Zong Shen even suspects that some lords on the continent have begun studying Earth’s firearms.
