Global Lords: I Have Information System

”No, those monsters have lizard-like lower bodies, but their upper bodies look like Humans.”

”We should be running into them soon.”

”We’ll stay in the middle of the formation, don’t run around, and don’t charge to the front.”

Old Zhang warned in a low voice.

The Black Lord seemed to trust Old Zhang very much and nodded repeatedly.

After speaking, Old Zhang fell silent, drew a Long Spear with a backward motion, and followed the main force forward.

The two-hundred-meter horizontal line formed by the entire troop soon entered the Poison Swamp at its front end.

They were like a small speck, gradually being Devoured by the pale green toxic mist.

They vanished from the sight of the Lords outside.

After entering the Poison Swamp zone, the scenery before them changed again, and the visibility was higher than they had imagined.

This indicated that the toxic mist covering the whole marsh was mainly to confuse outsiders.

To block Peeping from the outside.

The swamp was muddy everywhere, the ground damp, the soil pitch-black, exuding an acrid, rotten stench.

No one dared to breathe freely, even though the toxic mist no longer affected their inner field of vision.

But it was still everywhere.

With every breath they could feel the sting in their throats.

There was even a faint feeling of Dizziness.

To save on expenses, the vast majority of Lords had purchased Tier Three Antitoxic Potion.

According to some ”Gou Dadan” Lords who had entered the outskirts of the swamp, the toxic mist here just happened to be Tier Three.

But in reality, the Tier Three Antitoxic Potion was still struggling to suppress the Poison.

However, since everyone had already come in, naturally there was no reason to leave so easily.

So everyone consciously slowed their breathing; this could reduce the negative impact the toxic mist had on their bodies. Let alone these more than two thousand people—if more than two thousand cattle and horses were breathing together, they could stir the airflow. At this moment, the pale green mist mass above was slowly surging.

The Poison Swamp was utterly silent, with only the gurgling of shallow, clear water flowing.

Some Lords sent out their Wolf Cavalry and Dark Night Female Hunters to serve as Scouts.

In the marshy terrain, both Grassland Wolf and Black Panther were more agile than Ordinary horses.

The main force was slowly moving, everyone scanning the surroundings with wary eyes.

The ground was muddy and hard to walk on; linger a bit too long and your legs would slowly sink.

Soon, they saw the ruins and relics spoken of in outside rumors.

—Row after row of jagged, uneven broken walls stood on the ground.

Their surfaces were coated with a thick crust of mud, overgrown with dark green moss.

Seeing the ruins, everyone’s hearts leapt with joy, as if they had glimpsed the hope of treasure.

Every so often, the Lords could find a Little Flame Demon in the swamp.

The main force thus pushed five to six hundred meters deep into the marsh.

It wasn’t until the Wolf Cavalry and Female Hunter Scouts sent ahead were attacked, and the Lords who had dispatched them saw the corresponding notifications and reported it to everyone, that they finally noticed something was wrong!

Unfortunately, such a massive troop didn’t have a single unified Commander.

The situation of fighting separately was almost already set in stone.

Even the transmission of the news of the attack was utterly chaotic.

The Lords at the front who first learned the news began retreating.

The Lords in the middle were stuck, unable to advance or retreat.

The Lords at the back still had no idea what had happened.

Some shouted, some sent private messages, and others simply posted directly to the [Regional Channel].

By the time the Lords at the rear reacted, the front had already come under attack.

The mist ahead of them grew incredibly dense, like a wall of fog rapidly pressing down on the crowd.

No one knew what was hidden behind that fog wall.

”Whoosh whoosh whoosh!”

The fog wall quickly drew within a hundred meters.

Accompanied by the sound of wind being torn, more than a hundred Crossbow Arrows shot out from within the wall.

Next came dozens of Blood Red Magic Bullets.

These attacks were neat and synchronized, clearly prepared in advance.

The heavy mist was parted here and there by the airflow trails.

Through those gaps, silhouettes covered in Red Scale emerged...

These ranged attacks quickly struck the front ranks.

The two-hundred-meter-long horizontal line of the main force was like a square living target.

”Puff puff puff!”

”Bang!”

”Boom!”

”Ugh ah!”

The crisp sound of Crossbow Arrows Piercing Battle Armor, the dull thuds as they sank into flesh, and the roar of Magic Bullets exploding echoed through the front ranks.

Along with those sounds came shrill screams and cries of pain.

Humanity’s greatest fear comes from the Unknown.

The pale green toxic fog wall blocked their sight, preventing them from judging who the enemy was, or how great their Quantity!

Scattered ranged counterattacks began to appear within the main force.

Some were Arrow, some were Magic.

But unfortunately, lacking unified command, these ranged attacks couldn’t form any real momentum.

Most of the Lords could still barely remain calm.

After all, they had been here for nearly a month now, and the past challenges and numerous battles had given them at least some courage to face crises.

Even so, there was still a small group of cowardly Lords who tried to fall back and prepare to run for their lives.

Banding together could allow the Lords to elevate their combat strength.

But in the absence of command and combat discipline, a rout was extremely easy to trigger.

Especially once deserters appeared in the formation.

These deserters would throw the troop into Chaos, and the hard-won War Intent would quickly dissipate.

Just as the troop was growing increasingly chaotic, something happened at the rear as well.

The pale green mist was like a mysterious Ghost.

No one knew when it had started, but a thick toxic fog wall had appeared at the rear too!
