Flowers Bloom from Battlefield

The next day, the capital was once again bustling with activities. Festive lanterns and decorative items filled the roads in the capital. Everyone cooperatively involved themselves in this celebration. They too, were happy to hear about the victory of the Ming Kingdom.

Jun Min looked into the mirror. Xiao Yun had forced him to wear a good outfit and nagged him to maintain a good appearance. After a few rounds of testing clothes, he just picked his blue robe that made him look like a scholar. It’s not like just because he was a general, he had to wear body armor, it’s just that he didn’t want to wear those kinds of clothes anytime soon.

Xiao Yun and Madam Xie have just come to know that Jun Min is Jun Hua. They had vowed to follow her and never divulge his secrets, thus, Jun Min allowed them to know.

”Miss, you’re really handsome today,” Xiao Yun gave her honest opinion.

Jun Min smiled. ”Thank you, Xiao Yun.”

”When she’s dressed as a man, you need to call him Young Master,” Madam Xie corrected her daughter before looking towards Jun Min. ”Young Master, good luck on the party.”

”Yes, thank you.”

Jun Min walked out of the room. His grandfather once again almost choked on air after seeing Jun Min. He got the feeling that this little kid had gotten even more handsome after not seeing him for a couple of weeks. Why is it that a little girl became the one who is highly charming? He cannot accept it on behalf of all men.

”You… should never turn back into being Jun Min.”

Jun Min chuckled. ”Grandfather, why are you looking so shocked? Has my appearance captivated you so much?”

”You’re not allowed to go outside like that!”

”Why?”

”Because you will capture countless girls’ hearts again and bring another bunch of old men complaining to me!”

”…”

Jun Min just ignored his grandfather’s plea and headed towards the capital. On the journey, he met with Soujin who was wearing his body armor, but still looked handsome. His tall stature and demonic face caused many girls on the roads to shriek the moment they saw him. His flawless face and calm demeanor made them even more excited.

While Jun Min was observing the other party’s face, he did not realize that his appearance had caused the girls to be more excited. Jun Min’s face was a bit girly, but because he was on top of his horse, he looked domineering. With the addition of his aura from being a general, the girls couldn’t help but shriek even louder seeing them.

”You don’t seem nervous under their gaze.”

Jun Min smiled wryly. He had experienced it a few times before, so it was not a new thing for him. ”Let’s just go to the palace.”

”Sure.”

Soujin ignored the passersby even more. He had been used to this kind of thing ever since he was little, making him immune towards that gaze. Most of them were fake, as the things they admire were merely their accomplishments and face. Arriving at the palace, Jun Min could see that the decorations in the palace were even grander compared with those on the streets. The eunuchs were busy with their tasks as they rushed here and there.

Jun Min stared at the palace. This was the second time he had stepped into the palace as Jun Min. He only came here once before, during the test from the emperor around one year ago. Once again, he will go in and meet that person.

”Even if you hate him, you need to be patient,” Soujin said calmly.

Jun Min raised his head to look towards Soujin. The latter’s eyes were calmly watching him. His pair of eyes seemed to be shining as if telling him that there will come the day when that person will pay for what he has done.

Jun Min never knew why Soujin also has such grudges towards the imperial family. No, not the imperial family, but the current emperor of the Ming Kingdom. He might never know the reason, but he knows that with both of them having their own schemes against the big guy on the throne, his days as the ruler will soon come to an end.

He smiled back towards Soujin. ”I know, thank you.”

Soujin nodded. Both of them soon entered the hall along with the other war commanders who gathered there. Soujin and Jun Min naturally sat at the forefront position with Lan Ping and Lan Pan behind the two of them. Many of the officials were staring at them with odd eyes. Without even any need to guess, Jun Min knew the reason… his appearance.

Come on! It’s not that weird to see a general with a small stature like him… alright, it’s indeed rare, but they shouldn’t stare at him too much. Weren’t the officials famous for their capability in acting? They should have just hidden their surprise….

Jun Min naturally noticed Lan Pan, but the two of them acted like they didn’t know each other. They knew that this was not the time for their battle yet. Soujin was the same, he ignored that general and went straight to his place. This meeting should end in peace.

”The emperor has arrived!”

The emperor’s arrival caused everyone to rise and greet him. After the emperor sat on his throne, they all returned to their seats. The eunuch then announced the report from the battlefield. Jun Min didn’t pay much attention to the reward for the general because he was waiting for the last one, the exceptional contribution.

”In this battle, there are two exceptional contributions from two highly talented generals. First is General Nanglong Soujin, who managed to notice the enemy’s plot, killed the Seventh Prince of the Kai Kingdom, and led the soldiers into victory in the battle on the north border.

Second is General Jun Min, who managed to emerge victorious on the battle against the Mountain Kingdom, saved General Nanglong Soujin from a perilous situation on the cliff, marched along with General Nanglong Soujin to lead the soldiers into victory on the north border, and killed the Sixth Prince of the Kai Kingdom.”

Jun Min was startled that killing a prince was considered as an accomplishment since he was just well… trying to get back at that person for his wound.

”For their exceptional contributions, the emperor has granted them the title of princes and they are each given a residence of their own.”

Wait, what?
